basedebs.tgz in woody?

2001-11-29 Thread Juergen Fiedler

Hi,

I created a Woody CD from version 3.0.17-2001-11-18. When I tried to
run the installer, it complained about a missing basedebs.tgz during
the installation of the base system. And in fact, the file does seem
to be missing from the Debian mirrors I tried this far.
Can anyone tell me where to find this file?

Thanks in advance,
Juergen

Hm, I suppose I ought to actually do that, rather than just say I was
going to do it.

It is now done. Sorry about the delay.

Anyway, there is now a new directory 2.2_rev4.1 next to the 2.2_rev4
directory, and the powerpc subdirectory has been moved to it.

The potato_test directory is as it ever was, so as long as you include
that in your rsync's and use the --hard-links option, it should all
get updated in no time. Alternatively, moving the directories at your
end by hand before rsyncing also works.

Have fun!

Cheers, Phil.

i've updated this at planetmirror.com and just finished rsyncing from
cdimage (as usual, only 1_NONUS, plus 2 and 3). it's pretty quick and
it looks like only a few meg of changes overall.

can i suggest a link from 2.2_rev4/powerpc to point at 2.2_rev4.1/powerpc

btw, i don't know if people noticed but rsync 2.5.0 just appeared..

regards,

-jason
