Add a new program to Debian

2001-03-11 Thread Sergio Costas

Hi all!

I'm not sure if this is the right list to answer this, so please,
sorry me if I'm wrong.

What have I do to suggest to Debian maintainers to add a new program
in the distribution? I written a GPL Boot Manager and I think that it
could be a good idea to add it in Debian.

Thanks.

Yes, that's basically what I've been doing so far myself.

See http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/ for details about how to post a
Request For Packaging (RFP).

Getting a SCSI chain working is perfectly simple if you remember that there
must be exactly three terminations: one on one end of the cable, one on the
far end, and the goat, terminated over the SCSI chain with a silver-handled
knife whilst burning *black* candles. --- Anthony DeBoer

The Debian installer is called "boot-floppies". There exists a mailing
list for it at (I think) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. You can
subscribe to the list at
 or browse the archives
at . If you wish to submit a bug report for
boot-floppies, you may first want to look whether similar reports have
already been filed, by searching for the "boot-floppies" package on
.

Cheers,

  Richard

Is there any unofficial Debian CD-ROM info site?

2001-03-11 Thread Rahmat M. Samik-Ibrahim

Hello:

I am currently maintaining some debian related links at
  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/debid/links/

Question:
- beside the http://cdimage.debian.org/ official site,
is there any un-official site around?

thanks,

heaps. i don't quite know i'd go so far as to say they're
unofficial - there is the official site, and there are
"official" mirror sites which are listed.

the main "unofficial" site i know of is Attila Nagy's
in Hungary who produces extra cd images for potato
as well as woody and now sid ones.
