Bug#420641: asterisk-oh323 fixed with asterisk 1.4.4
Hi Michael, I've taken a CVS HEAD snapshot from the sourceforge CVS as you proposed. To clean up the compilation output I've added some fixes. Please have a look at these patches[1] and check whether you can import them back upstream. They do address the -O2 requirement of Debian and remove the cluttering with version.h not finding the version of PWLib and OpenH323. I daresay that I'm not happy with the latter patch, as the way the versions are detected feels wrong anyway, that's what configure is for or eventually some other mechanism, but not run it with each source file being compiled. Same goes for the ccflags of OpenH323. Is there any chance we can see a 0.7.4 with that code as public release soon? Thanks! -- Best regards, Kilian [1]: asterisk-driver_Makefile.dpatch - fixes -O2 http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/asterisk-oh323/trunk/debian/patches/asterisk-driver_Makefile.dpatch?op=file&rev=0&sc=0 chan_oh323.dpatch - fixes missing headers problem http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/asterisk-oh323/trunk/debian/patches/chan_oh323.dpatch?op=file&rev=0&sc=0 Makefile.dpatch - also fix -O2 http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/asterisk-oh323/trunk/debian/patches/Makefile.dpatch?op=file&rev=0&sc=0 wrapper_Makefile - just run OPENH323FLAGS _once!_. - add -fPIC for the wrapper library. - leaves the very ugly .pwlib_version and .openh323_version constucts as TODO http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/asterisk-oh323/trunk/debian/patches/wrapper_Makefile.dpatch?op=file&rev=0&sc=0 signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#437020: Bug#437163: Acknowledgement (fails with W: Mandatory parameter bug missing in call)
Please merge the 2 bugs. Something must have happened 'elsewhere' :) I no longer see the: Error retrieving bug reports from the server with the following error message: W: Mandatory parameter 'bug' missing in call to Debbugs::Status::get_bug_status at /usr/local/lib/site_perl/Debbugs/SOAP.pm line 114 Still, that error message is _very_ confusing. There nothing on my boxes called 'Debbugs'. And we all know packages should _never_ install stuff under /usr/local. A proper error message (giving more hope) would be preferred :) Cheers, -- Cristian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The kernel misscalculates the necessary space. It is not possible to fix this from userspace as it doesn't return anything in this case. On Wed, Aug 08, 2007 at 09:47:14PM +0200, Moritz Muehlenhoff wrote: > tags 435634 - etch > tags 435634 + sarge > > > > I just tested a little bit, it works with oldstable > > Not yet :-) Could someone please clarify the status of this bug. It was originaly reported against 2.12r-19 which is the version in etch. But now it's tagged with only "sarge", and the version in sarge is 2.12p-4sarge1. This now results in the BTS thinking this bug doesn't apply to any distribution at all, since version 2.12r-19 doesn't exist in sarge. What might need to be done is: - Also say it's found in version 2.12p-4sarge1 - Also tag it with etch It would be nice if someone can just write down what works and what doesn't. Bug#437296: Aboot ftbfs due to missing kernel headers
Package: aboot Version: 0.9b-3 Severity: serious Tags: help X-Debbugs-CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Debbugs-CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Debbugs-CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Since I (finally) got a remote shell account on an alpha again I wanted to do some maintenance on aboot (which has seen no changes since at least Sarge). However, aboot now ftbfs in Sid. The relevant lines are: gcc -g -O2 -Wall -I. -I../include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 "-g" -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 "-g" -c -o ../lib/isolib.o ../lib/isolib.c ../lib/isolib.c:10:28: error: linux/string.h: No such file or directory ../lib/isolib.c:13:26: error: linux/config.h: No such file or directory In file included from ../lib/isolib.c:21: ../include/utils.h:5:23: error: asm/hwrpb.h: No such file or directory (The "full" build log is attached) These used to be in the kernel headers. They are not contained in linux-libc-dev (as shipped in sid) and I would rather not include specific kernel version with specific include paths. linux/string.h: Still present in current kernels. linux/config.h: Gone 2.6.22, in 2.6.17 marked as deprecated asm/hwrpb.h: Still present in (current) kernels And I'm afraid, the build will fail further down as well (haven't tested yet). I tagged this bug "help" because before fiddeling around[1] I thought I checked what the appropriate way to deal with these missing headers is. Should I include a copy inside aboot? Should I request them to be included in linux-libc-dev? Should I (shudder) rely on a specific kernel version for inclusion? - Maybe there is some documentation/Wiki which explains all these? Please keep this bug in the loop on replies. Thanks. Bug#413762: Fix for config structure using dynamic backends...
The attached patch fixes the config structure when dynamic backends are used - the basic issue is that when the backend was loaded, it wouldn't (neccessarily) share the config structure with the program that called it (and had therefore read the config). Bug#431853: depends on non-essential package adduser in postrm
tags 431853 + patch thanks Hello, Interesting summary for handling system accounts is here: http://wiki.debian.org/AccountHandlingInMaintainerScripts Files commonly owned by amavis (user|group) are: - quarantine files (by default in /var/lib/amavis/virusmails/) - temporary files (by default in /var/lib/amavis/tmp/) - cache files (by default in /var/lib/amavis/db/) - spam cache files (Bayes, AWL) ((by default in /var/lib/amavis/.spamassassin/) - log files but by default there is no log file owned by amavis (default to syslog usage) /var/lib/amavis/ directory is removed in postrm then *by default* there is no files owned by amavis (user|group) after purging. Then I think we should delete amavis (user|group) because advanced amavis users who changes default locations or complex configuration should take care of system users. I propose that a patch like in attachment closes this bug. Bug#434329: mail-notification crashes
Le 11.08.2007, à 01:52:12, Erich Schubert a écrit: > Hi, Hello, > Archived packages of gmime2.0 version 2.2.9 can be found at > http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2007/07/22/debian/pool/main/g/gmime2.2/ > > Maybe the bug can be reproduced in a debug build when it is compiled > with the -dev package in version 2.2.9 and then run with 2.2.10? I tried that. I installed libgmime-2.0-2_2.2.9-1_i386.deb and libgmime-2.0-2-dev_2.2.9-1_i386.deb and rebuilt mail-notification. But I can't reproduce the crash when I execute mail-notification. I then upgraded libgmime to 2.2.10 and I have the crash. The good news is that I have a mail-notification compiled with debug so I can use gdb. $ gdb ./mail-notification [...] Failed to read a valid object file image from memory. (gdb) p self $1 = (Self *) 0x0 selfp is a macro defined as #define selfp (self->_priv) So dereferencing a NULL pointer is not a good idea. The previous line in mn-gmime-stream-vfs.gob is: self = GET_NEW; and GET_NEW is (I am using a Maildir mailbox format): #define GET_NEW ((MNMaildirMailboxBackend *)g_object_new(mn_maildir_mailbox_backend_get_type(), NULL)) So the g_object_new() fails, return NULL and mail-notification crashes. > P.S. if you are affected by this bug, you can probably download the > libgmime package from there and install it. Then use "aptitude hold > libgmime-2.0-2" to prevent it from being automatically upgraded on your > next upgrade run. I am not sure the problem is with libgmime-2.0-2. mail-notification compiled and executed with version 2.2.9 is fine. mail-notification compiled and executed with version 2.2.10 is fine. mail-notification compiled with version 2.2.9 and executed with version 2.2.10 crashes. It looks like an ABI incompatibility for libgmime-2.0-2 between 2.2.9 and 2.2.10. But I may be wrong. I propose to just rebuild mail-notification using a binNMU or something similar. bye -- Dr. Ludovic Rousseau[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Normaliser Unix c'est comme pasteuriser le camembert, L.R. --

On Sat, 11 Aug 2007, Daniel Baumann wrote: > ivtv fails to build with 2.6.22-1, build-log from m-a is attached. Daniel, ivtv 0.10.x is only for kernels >= 2.6.18 and <= 2.6.21.x the ivtv modules have been incorporated into the kernel from 2.6.22 onwards and the ivtv package 1.0.x is for kernels >= 2.6.22. This release does NOT contain the ivtv driver proper, as that is now part of kernel 2.6.22. It does contain test tools, utilities and the ivtv-fb and saa717x drivers We need to think about how to incorporate in Debian. Mark signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Bug#437148: Security Hole in scponly, due to svn support

The same problem arises when a scponly-restricted user uploads any form of executable contents. CGI scripts are more common (and their so-called "PHP shells" which are explicitly designed to exploit this). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
