reassign 416506 libgnomekbd1,libgnomekbdui1 2.18.0-1 close 416506 2.18.1-1 thanks Hi, After upgrading libgnomekbd1 and libgnomekbdui1 from 2.18.0-1 to 2.18.1-1, the gnome-screensaver dialog appears and seems to work. Also, the keyboard switcher applet loads and works. I am not sure which one of libgnomekbd1 and libgnomekbdui1 was causing the problem and I no longer have the 2.18.0-1 versions to check. Bug#418505: vegastrike: empty packages [sudo and $(PWD)]
Package: vegastrike Version: 0.4.3.debian-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package inusable The package is empty on alpha, mips, and mipsel. These are the architectures whose buildds use sudo instead of fakeroot. The problem is using $(PWD) in debian/rules, since that gets unset by sudo. The proposed fix is to use $(CURDIR) (set by make) instead -- Niko Tyni [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#418506: gambas2-gb-db-firebird: empty package on !i386
Package: gambas2-gb-db-firebird Version: 1.9.48-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable As seen on packages.debian.org [1], the gambas2-gb-db-firebird package is empty on !i386. These empty packages are unusable, hence the 'grave' severity. It looks like the reason is that firebird2-dev isn't available on other architectures, as you note in the build dependencies. Please indicate that in the gambas2-gb-db-firebird Architecture: entry too, don't specify "any". Package: libooc-vo Severity: serious Justification: All of it This package has been unbuildable for over a year and uninstallable for some time as well. It also hasn't been updated since 2003. Users would be better served at this point to go directly upstream for sources. If and when you prepare a new, functional version of the package, do please upload it. Bug#418547: squid fails with Squid Parent: child process xxxxxx exited due to signal 6
Package: Squid Version: 2.6.5-6 Severity: grave Justification: Loss of service This is a duplication of bug #416502 but this is with the Stable instead of Test. The system was upgraded from the previous stable using aptitute. Currently apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade nor apt-get check do not report any conflicts or missing dependencies. Every other service but squid functions OK. The service, when started from /etc/init.d/squid terminates immediately with no log files generated. When run with strace, there is a core file in the current directory. Bug #416502 mentions that the test version of Etch had out-of-date packages, hence the first check. mirrorservice:/var/log/squid# apt-get install coreutils libc6 libldap2 Reading package lists... Bug#418560: at: fails to execute jobs
Package: at Version: 3.1.10 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable I tried to execute a simple job (creating a file) as user root on several machines, but on none of the machines the file has been created. I can see that execution of the job was started (atq shows that the job is running), but it never ends and no mail is sent to me. Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: splay Version: 0.9.5.2-8 Severity: serious Hi John, Your changelog for splay 0.9.5.2-8 says that you've done: * Renamed debian/rules binary-arch target to binary-indep and added empty binary-arch target. (closes: #395772) This is totally broken, and not what bug #395772 requested. The binary-indep target is for *building packages that are Architecture: all*. You're using it to build a package that's Architecture: any, which means that splay now fails to build on all buildds because the package is built in the wrong target. Please fix this by restoring the correct binary-arch target and adding an empty *binary-indep* target. Hopefully, this will be a temporary situation, until we fix the problem with the octave2.9-forge package. Debian 4.0 (a.k.a. etch) was recently released and contains 2.9.9. Even if 2.9.10 entered testing, it is too late now for the regular Debian users who are using the stable distribution. We are discussing about back porting 2.9.10 (and probably also the new octave-forge packages) for etch. -- Rafael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". As it has already been deprecated in README.Debian and the upgrade path from bind to bind9 can hardly be done in an automated manner, it should be sufficient to simply have bind8 removed? Bug#418629: iceweasel: every mozilla based application, except epiphany, crashes when loading a site
Package: iceweasel Version: 2.0.0.3-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Every time I try to load a remote page, mozilla based browsers (except epiphany) do crash. This doesn't happen when they are ran as root or when opening a local file. Ok, but we first should use all available php maintainer manpower to address the MOPB issues. While for Sarge it looks relatively moderate, it should be fixed for Etch rather sooner than later.
