Bug#424756: clamav-daemon: clamd don't go in background
Hi, Its very hard to tell you what happens. I understand it's hard to see waht yhe problem is. In fact, after an apt-get upgrade, I noticed that clamav-daemon was launched and that all upgrade process was freezed. So I did a CTRL-C and the upgrade process resumed. After that I tried numerous /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon stop an start. Each time, the start was interactive, I can leave it with CTRL-C only, this stops it of course. I can't tell you any more. I have noticed that this pb happened with the one of clamav-freshclam but I don't know if they are related. nb Le jeudi 17 mai 2007 à 11:44 +0100, Stephen Gran a écrit : > severity 424756 normal > tags 424756 +moreinfo > thanks > This one time, at band camp, nb said: > > It looks like clamd works in debug mode, it' interactive only. Hi Michael, I have been using http://opensync.gforge.punktart.de/repo/opensync-svn repository during some time but I met pbs with locales, so I went back to Debian sid. Bug#884995: [Pkg-dns-devel] Bug#884995: bind9 doesn't start after upgrade. Complains /var/log/bind.log permission denied
In fact I had theses lines in /etc/bind/named.conf.options for logging purpose: logging { channel "requetes" { file "/var/log/bind.log" size 10m; print-time yes; print-category yes; }; category queries { "requetes"; }; category resolver { null; }; }; After removing them bind can start. There’s no need to let critical level, or even to let the bug open. I’m going to read docs to see how logging can be done now. I’ve done this a long time ago.
