Bug#836827: pd-zexy: 'date' and 'time' objects missing (only their help files are in package)
Package: pd-zexy Version: 2.2.6-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, To reproduce this: - open Pd - Click 'Help' -> 'Browser...' -> 'zexy/' -> 'date-help.pd' or 'time-help.pd' When the help patch is opened, the 'date' and/or 'time' objects will appear with a dashed line, and Pd console will print "date ... couldn't create" and "time ... couldn't create" When opening a file manager at /usr/lib/pd/extra/zexy, it appears that 'time-help.pd' and 'date-help.pd' exist, but 'time.pd' and 'date.pd' (which are the source files for the objects described in the help patches) are missing. I was expecting the 'time' and 'date' objects to be included in the 'pd-zexy' package along with the documentation. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages pd-zexy depends on: ii libc6 2.23-4 ii puredata0.47.1-1 ii puredata-core [pd] 0.47.1-1 pd-zexy recommends no packages. pd-zexy suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Package: inkscape Version: 1.0.2-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, When I open Inkscape, click on the text object tool and then click on the drop- down arrow at the right of the font family selector, then Inkscape freezes for half a minute and the window disappears, leaving this message in the terminal: ``` Gdk-Message: 16:39:30.465: Error 71 (Protocol error) dispatching to Wayland display. ``` This happens every time that drop-down arrow is clicked. Bug#893907: lynx: The subdomain name 'news' freezes Lynx
Package: lynx Version: 2.8.9dev16-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, When I use Lynx to read a web page, it freezes when the web page starts with the subdomain 'news.' For example, on the terminal when I type in this: lynx news.ycombinator.com Then Lynx freezes while displaying this message in the status bar: Making NNTP connection to news.ycombinator.com Lynx handles https://news.ycombinator.com just fine, but when https:// is missing, Lynx just assumes that I'm looking for something one Usenet. Same problem with news.google.com, news.yahoo.com, etc. I think it would be more reasonable if Lynx assumed HTTP unless told otherwise, or perhaps had a time out in case NNTP lookup failed. Hi maintainer, I'm not sure this bug has been resolved yet. When I search for gnome-chess with apt, it is described as having 3D graphics: % apt search gnome-chess Sorting... Done Full Text Search... Done gnome-chess/unstable,now 1:3.28.0-1 i386 [installed] chess game with 3D graphics However, the most recent version does not have 3D graphics. Bug#890600: gtkterm: No prompt
Hi I may have misunderstood the purpose of gtkterm, as there is another program with the same name, described like this: "GTKTerm is a small graphical shell like XTerm." https://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkterm/ I was mistakenly expecting GTKTerm to be a terminal emulator and was expecting it to show a prompt. Something that may have contributed to my confusion is the fact that GTKTerm segfaults when clicking in the "Help" menu, and that the service, on which the project web site in listed the GTKTerm man page ( https://fedorahosted.org/gtkterm/ ) is hosted, has been discontinued. -- Pelle Hjek h...@member.fsf.org https://news.hjek.tk On Fri, Feb 16, 2018 at 07:01:14PM +0100, Willem van den Akker wrote: > On Fri, 2018-02-16 at 18:44 +0200, Adrian Bunk wrote: > > Control: severity -1 grave > > > > On Fri, Feb 16, 2018 at 05:04:13PM +0100, Willem van den Akker wrote: > > > Hello Pelle, > > > > > > Please notice you are using reporting against an older version. > > > The latest version has many updates. > > >... > > > > This is the version in stable. > > > > This is the version normal users are expected to use, > > and it is supported by Debian until 2020. > > > > I cannot comment on the contents of this bug, but if it is as broken as > > it sounds this might be an RC issue in stable that should be fixed by > > the maintainer for stable. > > > > > Greetings > > > Willem vdAkker > > > > cu > > Adrian > > > > Ok, point taken :) > > Hello Pelle, > > Can you describe the situatie when the failure is shown? > What is connected to which serial port. I was looking in the wrong readme file ( /usr/share/doc/searx/README.rst ) as it was the only help file that appeared in when I ran 'dpkg -L searx'. Perhaps it would be a good idea to mention that README in the error message, or in the (currently non-existent) man page? -- Pelle Hjek h...@member.fsf.org https://news.hjek.tk
