Bug#291993: RM: kissme -- upstream unable to maintain compatibility with classpath library
Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable The classpath library is under development and from time to time makes changes that require the JVMs using the library to adapt to a new API. kissme is not being actively developed and thus has fallen behind the changes in classpath. kissme is not used in Debian by any other package and it is unlikely that it is used by any Debian users. There are other free JVMs that use the classpath library, that are being actively developed/maintained and that are packaged for Debian (see jamvm and sablevm) John Leuner -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8 Locale: LANG=en_ZA, LC_CTYPE=en_ZA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Yes, the problem is with kissme releases. I prefer to remove the package than for it to be unusable. Bug#534433: xserver-xorg: Keyboard modifier not applied to keypress
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.3+18 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable After upgrading from xserver-xorg 1:7.3+18 to xserver-xorg 1:7.4+3 I observed the following: When pressing pressing CTRL/ALT on my footpedal and pressing a key on the keyboard, the CTRL/ALT modifier is lost for the first keypress. So, for example, if I type: b and then CTRL-a I see ba And if I press a again (holding down CTRL since the first keypress) the cursor will then move to the front of the input as expected. I confirmed that downgrading back to xserver-xorg 1:7.3+18 fixed the problem. Bug#611253: rabbitmq-server: --disabled-login should be added to adduser's parameters in postinst
Please see the comments below from upstream: 1. Hi John. It seems like --system already implies --disabled-password, so the only thing --disabled-login gets us is it prevents people from logging on as rabbitmq via ssh keys (if they were to set that up). I'll raise a bug here, but it seems pretty low priority to me. 2. FWIW we've now done this. But it's even more esoteric than I thought - since Debian defaults UsePAM to Yes in sshd_config, it will make no difference at all for most people... Hi Cyril This bug is still present with the latest xorg: ii xserver-xorg1:7.5+8 It only occurs when you try to use the pedal modifiers for the first time after connecting the input device.
