Bug#729523: bind(): Permission denied [core/socket.c line 185]

2013-11-13 Thread Bill Barry
Package: uwsgi
Version: 1.9.17.1-5
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
When trying to start uwsgi with /etc/init.d/uwsgi start
it fails and gives the error
bind(): Permission denied [core/socket.c line 185]
This can be fixed by adding
chown-socket = www-data
to /usr/share/uwsgi/conf/default.ini
The socket owner can be specified in other places, but it seems it should
have a default.

Bug#681273: upgrade-reports: keyboard and mouse not responding after upgrade

2012-07-11 Thread Bill Barry
Package: upgrade-reports
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
I did a dist-upgrade and rebooted to console where the keyboard was working
fine. I then did a startx and the KDE desktop came up fine except the
keyboard and mouse do not respond. This is a laptop with an external mouse.
Unplugging and plugging the mouse back in fixed the mouse. ssh'ing into the
machine and run udevadm trigger fixes the keyboard.

Comments/Problems:
I installed using the text/curses install. When it reached the stage setting
the hwclock the system hung hard. I powered down and did a graphical install
and everything worked great. Some kernels have trouble setting the hwclock on
this laptop, but I don't think this should hang the installer.
