Did you checked whether the documentation is properly built?

Moreover as far as Debian Med policy concerns all packages should be
by default

Priority: optional

I'm not sure about Debian Science policy but I think it is - or at least
it should be IMHO - the same. Do you have any reason to choose "extra"?

Finally there is an embedded JS copy:

Kind regards

Andreas.

Bug#645068: libreoffice: Background of program window not properly restored after closing document

2015-11-02 Thread Ben Finney
Package: libreoffice
Followup-For: Bug #645068
Control: tags -1 moreinfo unreproducible

Thank you all for verifying the reported behaviour on several versions
of LibreOffice.

I have tried to reproduce this on a host with the i915 video driver,
using ‘libreoffice’ version “1:5.0.3~rc1-2”. The background redraws
without a problem; I do not experience the reported behaviour.

Can you try to reproduce this on a comparable host, with a LibreOffice
from a currently-supported Debian? Please follow up to this bug report
with a “found” or “fixed” field for the specific versions tested.

Bug#642075: LibreOffice: Links to Find dialogue not working

2015-11-02 Thread Ben Finney
Package: libreoffice
Followup-For: Bug #642075
Control: fixed -1 libreoffice/1:5.0.3~rc1-2

Attempting to reproduce this in current LibreOffice in Debian results
in the expected behaviour: the Find toolbar is invoked either by
+ or by the ‘Edit → Find …’ menu item.

The interface implementation has completely changed since the latest
“found” version reported, so it's not surprising the behaviour is now
different. I am declaring this bug fixed in the current LibreOffice
version in Debian.

The latest version where this behaviour was reported is no longer in
any currently-supported Debian. Since the behaviour seems to be
changed now, I am closing this bug report as resolved.

If the bug can be reproduced in a LibreOffice version in current
Debian, please submit a new bug report with the “found” field set to
that version.

Bug#803734: freedombox-setup: Cleanup hardware setup script

2015-11-02 Thread James Valleroy
Package: freedombox-setup
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

The attached patch has the following changes:

1. Removes all of the "apt-get installs" from the 10_hardware setup
script. The packages that were being installed are now listed as
Depends, except for firmware-libertas which is a Suggest due to being
non-free.

2. Switch Beaglebone from uEnv.txt to boot.scr for first-boot
environment. This is similar to Cubietruck's setup. Also flash-kernel
will produce boot.scr when it runs during first-boot, so this will be a
little more consistent between first-boot and subsequent boots.

Note that I have only tested these changes on Beaglebone so far.

Did you checked whether the documentation is properly built?

Yes, although the -doc package only contains the HTML documentation. I
checked it and it runs fine. I can add the pdf build if it is a blocker.

Moreover as far as Debian Med policy concerns all packages should be
by default

 Priority: optional

I'm not sure about Debian Science policy but I think it is - or at least
it should be IMHO - the same. Do you have any reason to choose "extra"?

An artefact from `debmake`. Will correct that.

Finally there is an embedded JS copy:

W: libopengm-doc: embedded-javascript-library
usr/share/doc/libopengm-doc/html/jquery.js please use libjs-jquery

Raised to me by Gianfranco. Also discussed in [1].

cat /usr/share/doc/doxygen/README.jquery

[...]
It is not considered a problem for Doxygen or packages using Doxygen to
embed jquery. In fact replacing the `jquery.js` file created by Doxygen
likely results in broken documentation. Packages doing that are buggy.
Lintian will have to learn that a `jquery.js` embedded by Doxygen is a
normal thing.

I recommend to not use debmake. Debian Med provides a template which
creates way less work and leads to way less errors.

I'v pushed the change and will build + upload as per current state (if

I have prepared it in git since its release day.
It has not been uploaded so far due to the wait for

I'll upload it soon after it enters testing today.

Bug#803743: libjxr-dev: Missing pkgconfig file

2015-11-02 Thread Ghislain Antony Vaillant
Package: libjxr-dev
Version: 1.1-5
Severity: normal

Hi Mathieu,

Thanks for packaging LibJXR. The new version of FreeImage now depends on
LibJXR and I notice that the libjxr-dev package does not ship a corresponding
pkgconfig file, despite upstream providing one [1].

LibJXR uses a non-standard include location (/usr/include/jxrlib) but does not
use namespaced includes internally. That means one has to manually add a
-I/usr/include/jxrlib to CFLAGS. Ideally, I would rather query it using
pkg-config as I do for other dependencies.

[1] https://jxrlib.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest#libjxr.pc.in

Thanks for considering the issue.

Cheers,
Ghislain

I think you're referring to LibreOffice Writer specifically; I've set
the Package field accordingly.

To attempt to reproduce this behaviour in libreoffice-writer version
“1:5.0.3~rc1-2”, I used:

* File → New → Labels
  * Labels → Brand → Avery Letter Size
  * Labels → Type → 5160 Address
  * New Document

A new blank document appears with the selected layout.

* Enter text on each label across the top row.
* File → Print Preview

The document print preview has text that appears spaced correctly
  across the page.

  * Close Preview

* File → Export as PDF
  * Export
  * Select a filename, then Save

The Writer document, and the resulting PDF, are attached to this message.

Thank you both for reporting this behaviour.

Can you verify this with a LibreOffice version in currently-supported
Debian? Please follow up to this bug report with the appropriate

This is my kdm.log:

Note that your system uses syslog. All of kdm's internally generated

(i.e., not from libraries and external programs/scripts it uses) go to the

Thanks. How will the automatic upgrade work, though, if the existing
package ‘elpa-magit’ version 2.2.2-3 always fails its pre-remove step?

A manual work-around to upgrade this one package doesn't address the
bug IMO, because there are doubtless some other ELPA packages with the
same problem.

Does this point to a bug in the ‘emacs24’ package in being unable to
automatically handle upgrades of these packages in Debian built
against an older ELPA?

Bug#803744: f2fs-tools: use of f2fs as rootfs is broken

2015-11-02 Thread Sven Geggus
Source: f2fs-tools
Severity: normal

Hello,

at least when using System-V Init Debian is currently not able to run from
a f2fs root. The reason is, that fsck.f2fs is unable to check a ro mounted fs.

As this is also the case with xfs there is an easy solution:

1. Rename fsck.f2fs to something else like f2fs_repair or f2fs_check.

2. Copy fsck.xfs script to fsck.f2fs or replace with a slightly modified Version
(e.g. printing F2FS instead of xfs).

Bug#732637: [font-manager] Issue si solved with the new version 0.7.2

2015-11-02 Thread Martintxo
Package: font-manager
Version: 0.7.2-1~201510120016~ubuntu15.04.1

Hello

I'm install the new version of font-manager downloading a ubuntu package from:
https://launchpad.net/~font-manager/+archive/ubuntu/staging

After a few error windows derived for changes in the user config... the program
is working well, and the error report in the starting of all gtk apps:
"... ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated ..." is gone !!

So, I think that a packaging of the new version is desirable.

Many thanks in advance. Greetings. Martintxo.

Bug#803384: command-applet: Command Applet cuts off output string in the middle of multibyte characters

2015-11-02 Thread Dr. Axel Stammler
Hi, Mike,

Thanks for your quick reply − and thanks for the Command Applet as it is the
only applet
that makes Mate usable for me because so many other applets do not work at all.

Now, more to the point, the following command (using u2026) works well (except
for the
fact that the string is cut short):

echo 'bla ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ………
……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… ……… '

The following command (using u2026 and u1f383) causes problematic output:

echo 'bla🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃
………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃
………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 ………🎃 '

I am attaching a PNG file showing the relevant part of the panel.

BTW,

- We may communicate in German.
- I would really appreciate it if the applet would allow its user to configure
the numbedr
of characters after which the output is truncated.

Thanks again. Cheers,

Axel

Bug#803746: src:pcre3: Please honour "nocheck" or "notest" in DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS

2015-11-02 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: pcre3
Version: 2:8.35-7.2
Severity: normal

Hello!

pcre3 will currently always run the test suite even if DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS
sets "nocheck" or "nobench". It would be nice if pcre3 could honour either
of these flags so we can temporarily disable tests to speed up the build
process on slow architectures like m68k or just skip the tests when they
are failing.

Thanks,

Adrian

Bug#803725: subversion: dump-load of a repository modifies verbose log output: M line lost

2015-11-02 Thread Vincent Lefevre
Package: subversion
Version: 1.9.2-2
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

I've posted the following to the Subversion-dev mailing-list:

  http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2015-11/0001.shtml

With the MPFR repository:

I currently have:

zira:~> TZ=UTC svn log -r 1984 -v file:///home/vinc17/private/svn-mpfr

r1984 | vlefevre | 2002-07-23 16:22:08 + (Tue, 23 Jul 2002) | 2 lines
Changed paths:
   M /trunk/mul.c

Fixed permissions.

But after a dump-load:

zira:~> TZ=UTC svn log -r 1984 -v file:///home/vinc17/private/test-svn-mpfr

r1984 | vlefevre | 2002-07-23 16:22:08 + (Tue, 23 Jul 2002) | 2 lines

Fixed permissions.

The "M /trunk/mul.c" line has been lost!

FYI, this came from the CVS conversion, where the permissions of mul.c
were changed, but with no effect in the SVN repository.

I don't know whether this is due to a buggy change in the format of
the dump, or a bug in the load. The dump of this revision changed in
the following way for this revision:

 Node-path: trunk/mul.c
 Node-kind: file

Bug#678813: libreoffice-writer: multi-column label forms not laid out properly

I think you're referring to LibreOffice Writer specifically; I've set
the Package field accordingly.

To attempt to reproduce this behaviour in libreoffice-writer version
“1:5.0.3~rc1-2”, I used:

* File → New → Labels
   * Labels → Brand → Avery Letter Size
   * Labels → Type → 5160 Address
   * New Document

A new blank document appears with the selected layout.

* Enter text on each label across the top row.
* File → Print Preview

The document print preview has text that appears spaced correctly
   across the page.

   * Close Preview

* File → Export as PDF
   * Export
   * Select a filename, then Save

The Writer document, and the resulting PDF, are attached to this message.

but they didn't print properly. The printing shifted left on each
subsequent column of labels. The label form was defined properly. I
verified this by measuring the actual labels on the form.

On 23-Dec-2012, James L. Kay, D.O., FAAP wrote:

I can confirm this bug with Avery Letter Size 5160, LibreOffice Writer

adjusted them for 2 hours without being able to get the 3rd column to print
far enough to the right to be fully on the label.

Thank you both for reporting this behaviour.

Can you verify this with a LibreOffice version in currently-supported
Debian? Please follow up to this bug report with the appropriate
“found” or “fixed” field value for the versions you tried.

Thanks. Can you use ‘reportbug --bugnumber 678813’ to respond, so the
precise information about your current system (on which you run

Great!

Please let that coordination lead to the libjs-handlebars binary package
being created from node-handlebars source package, and them simply
dropping their not-really-from-source package.

So, no. The upgrade process will instruct ‘dpkg’ to try the
pre-removal script from the to-be-installed package, which (with a
corrected ‘elpa-magit’ package) will succeed, allowing the upgrade to
proceed automatically.

Apologies for the noise. Thanks for your maintenance work!

Hi!

Just as a reminder, that some work was done on the showq source code.
Harry's last commit was done last friday fixing some issues with waf.
Please, consider packaging it.

I'd really like to support you maintaining showq, although it would
only be help on a low level. My knowledge on compilers, building
processes and the debian-specialties for packaging is relatively
limited. And - for now - time is also missing. (Ask me in Feb 2016.)

Don't know, if it will safe your time, if you teach me maintaining
stuff. But if you really want to - just wait 3 months and I have an
open ear for this.

Greets!

Bug#803731: manpages: tcp_ecn details out of date

Package: manpages
Version: 3.74-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

man tcp:

tcp_ecn section refers to deprecates version and talks to a boolean value
defaulting to disabled.
This is not the case as kernel defaults to '2'; ip-sysctl.txt text should
prevale.

tcp_ecn - INTEGER
Control use of Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) by TCP.
ECN is used only when both ends of the TCP connection indicate
support for it. This feature is useful in avoiding losses due
to congestion by allowing supporting routers to signal
congestion before having to drop packets.
Possible values are:
0 Disable ECN. Neither initiate nor accept ECN.
1 Enable ECN when requested by incoming connections and
also request ECN on outgoing connection attempts.
2 Enable ECN when requested by incoming connections
but do not request ECN on outgoing connections.

Bug#803730: jessie-pu: package fglrx-driver/1:15.9-3~deb8u1

2015-11-02 Thread Andreas Beckmann
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
Tags: jessie
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: pu

The only option to fix CVE-2015-7723, CVE-2015-7724 (#803517) in
fglrx-driver is to update to a new upstream release of the blob.

I have prepared a backport of the current sid version to jessie and only
reverted the changes that are problematic for jessie (removal of the
libxvbaw-dev package and related changes).
I've currently included a commit "undo patch renaming" to reduce the
size of the diff to something better readable, that won't be included in
the final upload (because now the patch naming is really confusing).
Also there are some fixes pending an upload of 1:15.9-3 to sid first.

There are a few packaging features being added (similarily to what we
did in nvidia-driver)
* reproducibility fixes
* support for kernels up to 4.2
* reporting supported kernel versions in the description
* new translation
* some fixes (typos...) and description updates
Since amd does not provide long term supported branches this is the
latest upstream release and brings a few features, too
* newer xorg supported
* libfglrx-amdxvba1 can be used as a va-driver backend directly (without
  the xvba-va-driver wrapper)
* opencl support needs another shared library (in existing package)

Attached are a diff of the debian/ directories generated from svn
(excluding the blob changes) and a debdiff from amd64 since file lists
and package relationships change with the new upstream version.

Hi Gianfranco, thanks for the heads-up.

I am aware of the RC bug, which has been revealed when upstream started
to ship a comprehensive test suite. IMO, it highlights the fact that
part of the library is not written in a portable way.

I know that upstream is planning a major rewrite for the next major
release (v2.x), which may or may not result in more portable code. As a
result, I am not planning to spend much effort on fixing the current
code (v1.x).

Bug#779500: qtcreator: Qtcreator disappears when switching displays

2015-11-02 Thread Timo Jyrinki
Hello,

Could you please test this with Qt 5.5.1 now in unstable?

The multi-monitor problems with Qt are spread over to multiple different
bugs. 5.5.1 should address at least many of them.

-Timo

Bug#803717: Version 7u85-2.6.1-6+deb8u1 gives the same error

2015-11-02 Thread Rudolf Dovičín
I have updated /etc/apt/preferences & /etc/apt/sources.list (I have
added "proposed-updates"), it offered me version 7u85-2.6.1-6+deb8u1,
but it gives me the identical error.

Hi,

libelfg0 library doesn't seem to be maintained while libelf1 built from

I've prepared a patch that makes 'ex' the default. In theory the user
should be getting HISTEDIT set in ~/.kshrc so this is a fallback.

Bug#803763: gnome-shell: Tooltips appear by hovering on empty space.

2015-11-02 Thread Mladen Mijatov
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.18.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

After recent update Gnome Shell started showing tooltips from windows on other
workspaces. Hovering over empty area on one workspace shows tooltips from
windows located on other workspaces. Seems to favor first workspaces.

Few screen shots I've taken show one tooltip from Empathy, and other from
Sunflower file manager.

It should be possible, but I probably wouldn't mix a stable system like
that. Upgrading systemd/udev will most likely cause other dependencies
to be upgraded.

Maybe you reproduce the problem in a throwaway VM, which can easily be
upgraded?

Hi,

while editing a (plain text) mail, evolution crashed and ended in a
endless loop writing

This happened (repeatedly) after pressing backspace in the position in
the attached screenshot. A backtrace is also attached.

Bug#803766: dolphin: crash on start when embedded terminal is open.

2015-11-02 Thread Marko, Peter

Package: dolphin
Version: 4:4.14.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Doplhin crashed if I follow this procedure:
1) Open new Doplhin window
2) Open embedded terminal (F4) within this Dolpin instance
3) Try to open a now Dolphin window with path as parameter
4) It will crash (new windows cannot be open)

What needs to happen for the crash to occur:
- new Dolphin parameters need to contain path
- old Dophin instance needs to have embedded termina l open

The old instance is unaffected by this crash.

Thanks a lot!

I think Horde's command shells are hardly used (I, for one don't use them very
often).

Maybe it's fine to wait for the next point release.

Bug#803768: RM: hedgewars [arm64] -- ROM; waiting for fpc 3.0

2015-11-02 Thread Gianfranco Costamagna
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

Hi, I would like to remove hedgewars on arm64.
clang is not good enough to provide a building package (actually clang is
segfaulting, and since clang is a fallback
where fpc is not available, and fpc is gaining support on arm64 soon(TM) in
version 3.0 (currently in experimental as RC)),
I would like to kick out arm64 for now.

thanks,

Gianfranco

Bug#793761: 46.0.2490.71-1~deb8u1 also freezes at startup with xfce4/jessie

2015-11-02 Thread Jan Ingvoldstad
Package: chromium
Version: 46.0.2490.71-1~deb8u1
Followup-For: Bug #793761

Hello,

I have similar symptoms, they may be related, or they may be something
else.

I delayed restarting chromium a bit after 46.0.2490.71-1~deb8u1 was
released, and only did so today.

The system is Jessie-based, running in a VirtualBox instance. All
software is as up-to-date as "apt update && apt upgrade" lets it be.

The bug first appeared when I was running under VirtualBox 5.0.6.

Upon restart, the windows are not displayed. They are available with
alt+tab and a preview is visible in the virtual workspace switcher.

After a while, I get the "Pages Unresponsive" pop-up, but it displays
absolutely nothing of use. I can only assume that there are OK and
Cancel buttons there somewhere, and as you can see, there is something
funky going on with redraws:

http://jani.at.ifi.uio.no/tmp/skjermskudd-20151102.png

I though that this might have been due to me having 100+ tabs
distributed over 6 windows, so I tried starting via the command line
directly.

This creates this lovely error message:

libGL error: pci id for fd 15: 80ee:beef, driver (null)

glxinfo hangs.

I have also updated my host OS to El Capitan and VirtualBox to 5.0.8,
but no luck so far. :(

Interestingly, iceweasel also crashes now:

(process:16953): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size
== 0' failed

I don't know whether that was an issue before updating to VirtualBox
5.0.8 or not, sorry.

I think that is just about what I can contribute, and I hope I'm not
pursuing a red herring here.

Dear Maintainer,

direwolf (1.2-1) FTBFS with libgps22 as part of the gpsd transition (#803605):

dwgps.c:64:2: error: #error libgps API version might be incompatible.
#error libgps API version might be incompatible.

dwgps.c claims to only support GPSD_API_MAJOR_VERSION 5, but also builds
successfully with GPSD_API_MAJOR_VERSION 6 provided by libgps22 when the
attached patch is applied.

Kind Regards,

zcat'ing board firmware + partition image works fine for the Allwinner
A20 based OLinuXino LIME2 board when using the files from below
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch/main/installer-armhf/20150911/images/netboot/SD-card-images/
but fails when using most recent files from below
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch/main/installer-armhf/20151023/images/netboot/SD-card-images/

Board boots, asks for locale, and informs that it detects hardware, but
then (apparently) hangs, and after a little while emits this:

  E: Unimplemented function

I have serial access to the board, and I have routines to repackage the
partition with hacked boot.scr file - i.e. can apply custom U-boot/Linux
commandline options. But I am not skilled in debugging d-i so will need
your guidance in how to investigate further...

and in the devel package has a missing xdelta.m4 file that not are

The file and the manpage "xdelta-config" must belong to the

Bug#765079: pcre3: Please disable jit on powerpcspe

I have prepared an NMU which fixes the FTBFS of pcre3 on sparc64 by
disabling the JIT there. I'm attaching the debdiff.

Can I get your permission to perform this NMU? Fixing pcre3 on sparc64
is very important as many other packages depend on the package.

Thanks,

Bug#794311: KiCad 4.0 rc1

I'm sorry that I left the discussion, I didn't see that it was moved to a
different bug report (which I wasn't subscribed to). Sorry.

That's my repo, and I just patched in the pull request from Bas.
But I guess it's kind of redundant now that you finished packaging rc1, but it
may still be good to cross-check, in case you missed something.

I'm a bit confused there. How is gcc-5 affecting uninstallation?

Or, are you referring to the misplaced plugins in /usr/bin?

This is a bit of sad news, really, as the github plugin is very useful to
quickly pull in external part libraries. Also makes it easy to share your
footprints with others.

Maybe a modification to use gnutls instead is possible?
I'll post a request to Launchpad, if that makes sense to you.

Georges, did you post your build scripts somewhere public so I can do a local
test build and cross-examine?

it's not really a bug since rubber is supposed to run with Python2.

Bug#770840: ark: Ark crashes on exit when nested archives opened

2015-11-02 Thread Marko, Peter
Could Debian just remove the faulty patch
upstream_remove_part_from_KXMLGUIFactory_on_exit and create 4.14.2-3?

I have checked it and this patch actually introduces version 4.14.3 without
naming it so, since it is the only difference in ark between 4.14.2 and 4.14.3.
The upstream fix is just removal of this patch, so removing it from Debian
package seems like the correct solution.

Is there any chance now that this fix can be temporarily merged into
the systemd package until the larger work on binutils/gold to implement
support for the STT_REGISTER has been finished?

We really don't have any chance to continue working on this port without
this hotfix as *all* packages which link against either libsystemd
