i think that's the right aproach, after all, comments might be

I think this would have worked too, but why pamper over a bug in piuparts if
it can be fixed in the package?! ;-)

Bug#739398: lz4: Backport for lz4 ?

2014-02-18 Thread Charles Plessy
Source: lz4
Severity: wishlist

Dear Iwamatsu-san,

It has been a long time I have not met the Tôkyo area Debian study
group !

Thank you for packaging lz4. At work I have a colleague using a
Wheezy virtual machine, and who would benefit a lz4 backport. Would
you mind if I would upload one ?

One particular reason I am asking is that there is a newer upstream
release of lz4. Do you think that an update is necessary first ?

Have a nice day,

Charles

Heh, I really didn't think about this use case. It does make sense.

There's a similar possibility with multistrap model where you must specify a
configuration file name. I'll see what I can do to offer this possibility with
dpkg-copyright.

It does conflicts with the fact that a debian/copyright file must be present
during regular packaging activity. Well, I'll figure something out.

All the best

Yes, that's true; I don't currently know how to solve that issue
properly. I've added a check in preinst script to remove that bogus
directory, but that won't help with removing broken versions of the
package co-installed with pkg-config: the only way to fix them is to
upgrade then to a new version (or to fix the issue manually).

Bug#739400: src:wayland: [PATCH] libwayland-dev is not Multi-Arch:same

2014-02-18 Thread Dima Kogan
Package: src:wayland
Severity: normal
Hi. I'm looking at making QT dev packages Multi-Arch same. There are
several dependencies that need to be multi-arched first, and
libwayland-dev is one of them. The chain is

 qtbase5-dev depends on
 libgles2-mesa-dev depends on
 libegl1-mesa-dev depends on
 libwayland-dev

I'm attaching a proposed patch that makes libwayland-dev
Multi-Arch:same. This is done by splitting that package into -dev,
-tools and -doc. The -tools package contains the wayland-scanner
executable, and is Multi-Arch:foreign (is this correct?). The -doc
package contains manpages. These were split off because each build of
the manpages embeds a timestamp into the output, so you can get
differing manpage files in different arches. I can strip off the
timestamp instead, and keep the manpages as a part of the -dev package;
tell me if this is preferable.

I would be very grateful if you could handle that. Just converting the
pre-move commits to Git would be enough. That will give me three git
repositories (pre-move, post-move, post-takeover) that I could replay
one after another.

I worked up a patch to hopefully fix this issue.

Now each multiline entry is added to it's respective key by appending
a line break and the following multiline entries.

I need this package as I run some tools which parse Source and
Package-files from the mirrors.

Please take a look.

I find this package very useful and would hate to see it languish.

In the next few days I will at least prepare an upload that fixes
#705856 (the one with a patch) and look at the other bugs.

Are there any specific quirks I should know about?

Are the dependencies also pulled in if you do

apt-get -oAPT::Install-Recommends=false install liblinear1

? If not, you may want to set that option in /etc/apt/apt.conf or

Thank you very much. Just tested (purged the liblinear1 and nmap before)
and it worked.

This apparently works around the issue!

I've created 90NoRecommends in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/ with this content:

recommended.

APT{ Install-Recommends "false";};

But is this really intended behaviour? Shouldn't this "recommends" be
moved into "suggests"?

I meant that I seem to have somehow messed up my config files,
dependencies, or something like that. I'm using sid, so maybe that
contributed too. I ran the program from the command line, instead of
the panel, if that means anything.

In any case, the problem is now fixed after I took the following
steps: 1. apt-get dist-upgrade,
2. apt-get purge xfce4-notes xfce4-notes-plugin
3. apt-get install xfce4-notes xfce4-notes-plugin

Bug#739407: Please enable LMDB support

2014-02-18 Thread Bernhard Schmidt
Package: postfix
Version: 2.11.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Postfix 2.11 gained support for the LMDB database type, which is a flat-file
database access library originated in OpenLDAP. It allows concurrent access and
is therefor well suited for things like postscreen or verify caches.

http://www.postfix.org/LMDB_README.html
http://www.postfix.org/lmdb_table.5.html

Enabling it is easy enough, see attached patch. I compile- and run-tested it
on my development machine. I suggest not splitting it out into a seperate
package (like mysql), because the library is very small.

Best Regards,
Bernhard

Bug#738487: hppa patch for ATI FireGL in C8000 workstation

2014-02-18 Thread Helge Deller
Hi Ben,

On 02/10/2014 02:15 AM, Ben Hutchings wrote:
> You could add a new drm-modules udeb, but I suggest you reuse the name

thanks for the helpful explanations!

Here are two patches to fix it:

a) The patch (hppa-kernel.patch) is vs. trunk, which
- uses MEGARAID_NEWGEN instead of MEGARAID_LEGACY (the legacy driver "hangs" my
box),
- uses CONFIG_DRM=y instead of =m (you proposed that to me in an earlier bug
report)
- adds the "fb-modules" package to installer/hppa/package-list (with standard
priority
because the radeon driver is necessary on a c8000 machine)

b) The installer-hppa-modules.tgz file.
- please extract it in the debian/installer/hppa/modules/ directory.
- It creates the subfolder debian/installer/hppa/modules/hppa-parisc64-smp
- The files in the subfolder are basically copies of the ones in hppa/
- Only exception is the (new) fb-modules file (as suggested by you above).

It would be great if you could apply it before 3.13 :-)

Thanks,
Helge

Sure:

override_dh_auto_configure
# either do symlink or use some compression of the source

dh_auto_configure ...

Thanks to your helpful explanations, I think I have solved this bug
together with the packaging of the new upstream version 0.7.3 of Orthanc
[1]. The proper "Files-Excluded" directive is included in the copyright
file [2], so that there remains only non-minified JavaScript files from
the source package. Minified JavaScript files are re-generated using
yui-compressor [3].

However, I would need an independent review to be sure that I have
properly fixed the package. In particular, I had to introduce the
"+dfsg" suffix to the package version: I am unsure whether this is the
proper way of doing things.

Would you kindly have a look at my modifications, possibly uploading it
if everything is OK?

Regards,
Sébastien-

Bug#739408: browser-plugin-spice: SPICE plugin executes /usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client, which is not present

2014-02-18 Thread Nikolai Kondrashov
Package: browser-plugin-spice
Version: 2.8.90-1
Severity: important

SPICE plugin attempts to execute "/usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client" upon
connection to the server. However, it doesn't exist, but
"/usr/bin/spice-xpi-client" exists instead (provided by virt-viewer package).

As a result the plugin falls back to executing "/usr/bin/spicec --controller".
However, that was seen to fail to connect to a RHEV-M VM with SSL errors.

The whole Iceweasel output for the above seems to be this:

Bug#739309: expand-region-el on xemacs21: Symbol's function definition is void: declare-function

2014-02-18 Thread Barak A. Pearlmutter
Thanks for the report.

I'm not an xemacs user, and it seems that xemacs is not supported
upstream. So my inclination is to have the installation scripts ignore
flavour xemacs21. That said, I'd be happy to accept patches which
address this. And, I'd encourage you to file an upstream issue.

Cheers,

Without having checked the package this sounds pretty expected since it
is what uscan is doing for you according to best practices when there is
any need to rebuild the package source tarball to follow DFSG.

I'm a bit in a hurry today and will be offline tomorrow. Perhaps
pinging on the list might make sense.

Kind regards

Yup, please go ahead and upload/maintain the package, I hereby

Hi Julien,

The patch is in xorg-devel. I've also removed the XORG_VERSION_CURRENT
cruft you pointed out. Would you consider it now?

Latest version is in URL above. I'm attaching the Debian part as a

I also agree to relicense to all licenses used by upstream.

It appears your /etc/default/mpd contains garbage that belongs in
/etc/mpd.conf, but I don't see anything in the new package that would
cause garbage to be added to /etc/default/mpd. Are you sure this was
added by the package and not by yourself? What does your
/etc/default/mpd look like?

Hello,

oce 0.15-1 is now in experimental, and soname has been bumped, thus
is_good becomes
  is_good = .depends ~ /liboce-foundation8/;

This version fixes long standing issues with OpenCASCADE licensing, as
the new version is now LGPL 2.1 (with a runtime exception).

Current unstable versions of its rdepends (gmsh, freecad, netgen) do
not need source changes, and oce binaries have been built on all
architectures.

Bug#739411: udpkg: Support for data.tar, control.tar and control.tar.xz

Package: udpkg

Hi!

Here's a patch series adding data.tar, control.tar and control.tar.xz
support, the uncompressed member support just out of completeness. To
create a deb package with a different control.tar compression you can
use «dpkg-deb --uniform-compression pkg/» for example.

Note I've only tested «udpkg -c» and «udpkg -f», the changes in unpacking
are pretty obvious, but testing them would be nice. I've also used cat
for the uncompressed members as I didn't think further optimization there
was worth it(?). I've also tried to use the prevailing coding-style,
which in some cases conflicted with the immediate surrounding code.

Thanks,
Guillem

Hmm, I have ‘postgresql-9.3’ installed but I didn't realise
‘postgresql-9.1’ is still installed.

Both packages are marked auto-installed, and I only want whatever is the
latest PostgreSQL installed.

When I remove the ‘postgresql-9.1’ package, no dependencies are broken.
(And this bug report's behaviour no longer occurs.)

The ‘postgresql-9.1’ package is not needed for any dependencies, and it is
marked for auto-removal when no longer needed. So why wasn't it
automatically removed?

Hi, thanks for working on this.

I experimented a bit with the new version and observed some improvements.
Full page scrolling now works the same at different zoom levels: you
don't have the excess scrolling increase at deeper zoom like before.

The only problem is that I don't have any overlap, i.e. the last line
visible at the bottom is now the first line NOT visible at the top.
This is what the zathurarc man page says about overlap:

scroll-full-overlap

Defines the proportion of the current viewing area that should
be visible after scrolling a full page.

   · Value type: Float
   · Default value: 0.1

By default (no configuration) I have no overlap. I can get it only if I
explicitly add the line

set scroll-full-overlap 0.1

to my zathurarc configuration file. Then all is back to normal and
working as expected, also for different values of overlap.

I then experimented with different values of "page-padding" but they did
not have any influence on the scrolling behavior.

I hope this helps. Best regards.

Bug#739412: dictionaries-common: works slow on very short words at the end of big file

2014-02-18 Thread Aleksey Cherepanov
Package: dictionaries-common
Version: 1.20.5
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I faced a problem editing my big .org file (2mb+) with flyspell-mode
enabled. I edit it every day, regularly mistype and get words of one
or two letters that are wrong in Russian and cause flyspell work slow.

This one-liner produces "good" file to reproduce the bug.
perl -e 'print(((join " ", ("met and") x 10) . "\n") x 3)' > t.txt

Typing "nd" at the end of file gives a huge pause even on a fast
computer. But "mw" or "md" does not give pauses because they are not
substrings in this file. It is repeatable with emacs -Q.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

 So exact sequence is
$ emacs --version
GNU Emacs 24.3.1
$ emacs23 --version
GNU Emacs 23.4.1
$ perl -e 'print(((join " ", ("met and") x 10) . "\n") x 3)' > t.txt
$ LANG=C emacs -Q t.txt
 Then in emacs:
M-x flyspell-mode RET
M->
nd SPC

'emacs23 -Q t.txt' works the same way. LANG=C affects regular words
because default dictionary is Russian on my system so without LANG=C
all words ("met" and "and") are considered misspelled. But it does not
affect huge pause at the end.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Huge pause when emacs does not react on keys except C-g. Word "nd" is
colored as misspelled after the pause. C-g stops emacs internal
thinking and I could work without waiting but word "nd" is not colored
as misspelled word.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expect it to work as fast as with other words like "md" or "mw" that
does not produce a pause and are colored immediately.

I tried to patch flyspell-word-search-backward and
flyspell-word-search-forward functions from flyspell.el replacing
search-backward with word-search-backward and search-forward with
word-search-forward (perl -pe 's/\(search-/(word-search-/' ). It
solved the problem but I do not know what it broke.

I expect problems with this solution because I do not know if
flyspell's meaning of word is the same as emacs' one. I think it is
described in flyspell-get-word function that is called after search-*
in the patched functions.

flyspell-duplicate-distance variable on its own could mitigate the
problem but it changes the behaviour so I do not want to use this
variable.

Thanks!

Not true. Your /etc/default/mpd is not blank. It contains the same
data as your mpd.conf, which is a mistake. This cannot work.

This bug report is bogus, unless you can demonstrate the the package
has wrongfully copied your /etc/mpd.conf to /etc/default/mpd.

Such, such check (like the one below) will only work if the package is
upgraded, not removed. Broken packages can only be fixed by manua
intervention when a user decides to purge them from the system, rather
than trying to install to a newer version.

Something like this would at least allow users to get passed the broken
package state, install the new version and, if they choose to do so,
remove the package from their system using apt/dpkg.

pkgconfwrap="/usr/share/pkg-config-crosswrapper"
[ -f $pkgconfwrap/pkg-config-crosswrapper ] && mv
$pkgconfwrap/pkg-config-crosswrapper ${pkgconfwrap}.orig
[ -d $pkgconfwrap ] && rmdir $pkgconfwrap && mv ${pkgconfwrap}.orig $pkgconfwrap

Variable has been used for brevity but feel free to expand it.

Since both, the script and the directory are created by an earlier
version of 'pkgconf' package, it is safe to assume that '.orig' file
does not exist and the directory is empty, hence the lack of any
additional tests in the above example.

Regards,

Raf

This is by design.

So, I downgraded this bug report for now. I will try to explain
you the situation for this library and we will see if we must
close this bug or fix something in the package.

The mention of x32 seems strange to me here. Can you provide

about x32 in the source package).

Back to the background.
First, read
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/ocl-icd.git;a=blob;f=debian/README.Debian;hb=HEAD
It was written a few months ago and should probably be updated a bit
but important information are present.

For this bug report:
* OpenCL is a norm written by a consortium: we have to deal with (bad) design
  of this consortium
* OpenCL implementations are divided in several parts, mainly:
  * libOpenCL : the library applications link against (that load ICDs)
  * ICDs : real OpenCL drivers (to execute code on various hardware)
libOpenCL is mainly a dispatcher of function calls to one or more
  ICDs
* ICDs in Debian are all currently non-free. I hope to find time to
finish the packaging of pocl (current state in collab-maint, help
welcome) so that a free ICD is available
* libOpenCL is provided by non-free OpenCL implementations (mainly AMD,
NVidia and Intel) but also by an independant free project: ocl-icd
* All libOpenCL library should be equivalent (ie work with any ICD)
=> all packaged ones in Debian provides/conflict with the virtual package
libopencl1
but consortium's decision mitigate this (hence the existence of other virtual
packages, see below)

When you package a OpenCL application with the ocl-icd libOpenCL
packaged in Debian, the goal is to depends on ocl-icd (free implementation)
but also on virtual package as alternative, so that one can use
other (non-free) implementation if they wish. Putting ocl-icd as
the first part of the alternative is done so that, by default,
apt and other tools will install the free alternative (if non-free
is enabled)

The symbol file is written like this (stripping out the comments, adding line
numbers) :
1: libOpenCL.so.1 #PACKAGE# #MINVER# | libopencl1
2: | #PACKAGE# #MINVER# | libopencl1, libopencl-1.1-1
3: | #PACKAGE# #MINVER# | libopencl1, libopencl-1.2-1
4: (symver|optional)OPENCL_1.0 1.0 1
5: (symver|optional)OPENCL_1.1 1.0 1
6: (symver|optional)OPENCL_1.2 1.0 2

The first line is always added as dependencies in all programs
linked with libOpenCL.so.1 (see #737731). If the consortium have done
correct design, this would be all what is needed.
We depends on the ocl-icd implementation or the virtual package for
user that will want to switch to a non-free implementation.

Line 2 and 3 are here to add the virtual packages libopencl-1.1-1
and libopencl-1.2-1. They are added when a program linked against
libOpenCL use symbols from the 1.0 or 1.1 version of the OpenCL
standard or the 1.2 version (2.0 will probably come soon).
Note that correct design should have use different sonames. It would
have been easiest as we have to deal with several binaries
implementations (that have different versionning).

Currently, ocl-icd, AMD and Intel (not packaged due to licence)
provides an OpenCL library that deals with OpenCL version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2.
NVidia only provides

The modules files shouldn't be copied when they're meant to be identical
between flavours - you can use a relative #include to refer to the
original files. I changed all the copied files to do this. Please
check that I got this right (committed as r21049).

Thanks a lot, it’s definitely worth shipping. Before doing so in

Bug#739416: transition: ruby1.8 removal

2014-02-18 Thread Antonio Terceiro
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org

Dear release team,

The Ruby team is working to be able to not ship ruby1.8 with Jessie for
quite a while. This is being tracked since DebConf13 at

https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/ruby1.8-removal.html

We underwent a huge amount of effort to make sure everything that was
relevant was fixed, and at this point -- ignoring packages not in
testing and ruby1.8 itself -- we have only 6 packages in bad state,
which can always be fixed and get back to testing.

So I would like to remove ruby1.8 from testing now.

The noun phrase "URL hash" is missing a determiner. I suggest:

However, it is best to avoid addressing the reader ("your", "you") in

As far as I can tell from the few packages I looked at with wrong
dependencies, it appears they were built with ocl-icd 1.3-3. The
current symbols file does appear to be reasonable (I'm not completely
sure about the presence of #MINVER# together with virtual packages, but
that's rather minor compared to the previous state of generating purely
virtual dependencies). I guess we'll just have to rebuild the rdeps to
get rid of the wrong libopencl1 deps.

udevd appears to be killing the child process handling the device
insertion at or near line 1352 of udev.c (current jessie version) before
it ever gets to running "setfacl". I don't know why yet, but this is
probably the root of the problem.

I think looking at the existing bugs and trying to fix them is a good
start. I can help with Ruby and packaging.

I just pushed 2 commits there, and can help others who want to
contribute.

Let's use #debian-qa on IRC, I guess? (I'm terceiro on IRC)

This is just 50% of the story. Since mount cannot create mount
points, you have to enter the directory name _twice_ (/etc/fstab
and on the mkdir command), giving you twice the probability to
introduce a typo, plus the probability to forget one step.

Not to mention that some file systems are empty by default (e.g.
tmpfs used for /run and some subdirs).

How about a command option to tell mount to create missing dirs?
The default behavior would be unchanged.

Harri

Bug#739395: shipping a javascript-free interface to duckduckgo

2014-02-18 Thread Daniel Kahn Gillmor
hi Mike and other mozilla maintainers for debian.

I submitted https://bugs.debian.org/739395 to xul-ext-noscript,
proposing a default search provider which is DuckDuckGo's non-javascript
interface. David Prévot suggested that i ask for its inclusion into the
iceweasel package directly.

I'm attaching an updated version of the file that would be placed in
/etc/iceweasel/searchplugins/common/ddg-nojs.xml

Is there interest in shipping this in the iceweasel package directly?

Bug#739420: evolution: fails to find address book

2014-02-18 Thread Johannes Rohr
Package: evolution
Version: 3.8.5-2+b1
Severity: normal

In Evolution, all address books are suddenly empty.

Evolution seems to be confused about the address book locations:

"Dieses Adressbuch konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Bitte überprüfen Sie, ob der
Pfad /home/jr/.local/share/evolution/addressbook/system-address-book existiert
und Sie darauf zugreifen dürfen."

So this is where it now looks for the default address book, however, its actual
location is

.local/share/evolution/addressbook/system/contacts.db

Also, all my remote address books (google, owncloud) are shown as empty, and a
timeout is reported.

Could this be caused between some miscommunication between
evolution-data-server and a recently updated library? Also gnome-contacts
fails to show any contacts now, I suspect for the same reason.

Thanks,

Johannes

It has no influence as ocl-icd-libopencl1 provides the alternative
virtual package. So, it is purely cosmetic. I can remove it if you
think it is better (note that #MINVER# applies to the real package
#PACKAGE# (ie ocl-icd-libopencl1), not to the libopencl1 virtual
package).

The bug with old ocl-icd, as consequence, only forbid installation
of non-free libopencl (only ocl-icd-libopencl1 can be installed to
satisfy the generated dependencies). That's why I did not yet ask
for rebuild of reverse dependencies. "Normal" upload of OpenCL
program should fix this quickly enough.

Vincent

2014-02-18 Thread Gustavo Grieco
Package: tiger
Version: 1:3.2.3-12
Followup-For: Bug #716246

Dear Maintainer,

This crash is caused by a buffer overflow in the processing of the argument of
realpath binary. A working exploit was automatically generated using
state-of-the-art tools in AEG. Since this binary is compiled without stack
protection and is run by the tiger framework using root, severity should
changed to grave and the security tag should be used.

We must be talking about a different bug, because the consequence of the
current dependencies on plain 'libopencl1' in clinfo or erlang-cl is
that a random provider gets installed.

Bug#699809: cfengine3 packaging project on github

2014-02-18 Thread Thomas Koch
Hi,

this is a reply to the debian bug report asking for a newer cfengine version,
CCing the members of the debian packaging team on github.

It seems there are people working on packaging a current cfengine version at
github:
https://github.com/Webhuis/Cfengine-debian/wiki

I don't know, whether there have been trials to contact the current (MIA?)
maintainer of cfengine3, Antonio Radici. I'll send a MIA request to debian-
devel right after this mail

@DebianPackagingTeam: Do you need any help? I'm not a DD, so I can't sponsor
your packages, but I might have some experience in packaging. Do you have an
estimation of when there might be an upload of cfengine 3.[56] to Debian?

Cool, I'd like some help to the new upstream release. Currently it has a
lot a problems, for example, it tries to write en /usr/share/creepy , the
new version write a log file and I don't know how to hand that.

Right now I've patched the source code to deny writing in /usr/share/creepy
the problem now is that when creepy tries to write plugins or project,
because it tries to write on /usr/share/creepy

I uploaded the creepy 1.1 with these changes to mentors[1] Could you check
it out? and tell me if I can help you with something

I wanted to cherry-pick this into the Debian package, but I cannot
find any trace of this on git://git.code.sf.net/p/otr/pidgin-otr.
Ian, maybe you forgot to push, or something?

Actually, this is exactly what I added in a -3 version: it allows
users to unbreak things by upgrading the package.

I wonder whether we should merge our efforts first. Could you agree upon
the reporistory at

   git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-grass/creepy.git

You get commit permission if you apply for pkg-grass team on alioth.

To my experience it becomes way more simple to work together on a
package when using a VCS rather than sending patches via mail. It
also enables asking for help at debian-mentors list.

For your problem above: I think you need to find the code piece that
tries to write to /usr/share/creepy and redirect the write attempts to
/var/lib/creepy.

Kind regards

Andreas.

severity 728245 important
thanks

Hi,

as there are some problems to reproduce this bug in normal environments I
decided to downgrade that bug. Currently it prevents testing migration which
means that a few important security fixes won't get fixed in testing.

If someone disagrees, please speak up.

Ugh, the documentation is wrong here. The default value is actually 0
(since 0.2.0 or 0.2.1). I have fixed the documentation upstream in
ba917f174bdcf852e0d5c49bc0c1cc30c9075d8d [1]. Apart from the
documentation issue, is there anything else missing? Otherwise I'm
inclined to close the bug and mark it as fixed in 0.2.7-1.

Thanks for the update and apologies for not replying earlier to the
bug. In addition Ondřej has already prepared packages for
squeeze-security and wheezy-security which currently are building.

Excellent! If you do, please use 10.0 from experimental. The 9.x branch
will be phased out soon.

Indeed. It comes from ocl-icd 1.3-3 (and before) that did not have
a symbols file (only a shlibs file with only the virtual package).
ocl-icd 1.3-3 has been a long time in unstable (2.x was in
experimental while virtual packages were discussed amongst OpenCL
Debian community)
There can be other binary rebuilds to trigger to fix this in this
case.

Vincent

Yes you are right, however, the path where plugins, and other projects are
written, must be in the same part where creepy be installed, for this
reason, do not think just patch the code to write in /var/lib solve the
problem.

In fact I have discussed this issue with upstream, which says:

*"Regarding 2, its obvious that the user who runs the program has no
permissions to write under /usr/share/creepy , should it be this way ?
Isn't that chowned to the user account in Debian ? If not, then we need to
find a different approach because the program needs to save projects and
plugin configurations, if it does not have the permission to write to that
directory , how could it be done ? "*

Coul you give me a hand? :)

Bug#738683: RFS: hexchat/2.9.6.1-1 [ITP]

2014-02-18 Thread Jesse Rhodes
The copyright exception is in the upstream readme, in the source
tarball under share/doc. The readme is where xchat mentions the
OpenSSL exception, as well. This is one of the first things I
discussed with #debian-mentors when I started this process and a
couple people said it was fine to have the exception mentioned in a
readme and not specifically in a LICENSE file, it just needs to be
there.

But if that's incorrect and upstream really does need to make some
changes, I'll talk to them about it. Shouldn't be too hard.
