Bug#418221: wmgui: fail to autodetect my wii handset, "Error opening control channel"

2007-04-08 Thread Petter Reinholdtsen

Package: wmgui
Version: 0.5.02-1
Severity: important

I ran into a problem with wmgui and wminput with the package I rebuilt
for Debian/etch. It fail to detect the Wii handset. I have to give
the handset ID on the command line to get it to detect it.

With wmgui, I select File->Connect, press <1> and <2> on the handset
and on the dialog, and then after a while, a popup dialog reports
[ "Error opening control channel" - ]. I select , and a
nother dialog pop up with [ "Unable to connect" - ]. If I start
the handset from the command line like 'wmgui ', it work.

With wminput, I get the same messages:

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/src/cerebrum$ wminput
Put Wiimote in discoverable mode now (press 1+2)...
  Error opening control channel
  unable to connect
  [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/src/cerebrum$

I found the suggestion to add the handset ID on the command line in
http://abstrakraft.org/cwiid/discussion/1/2/34>, discussing this
exact problem.

Bug#418222: mediawiki1.7: [debconf_rewrite] Debconf templates review

2007-04-08 Thread Christian Perrier
Package: mediawiki1.7
Version: N/A
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Debian maintainer,

On Sunday, March 25, 2007, I notified you of the beginning of a review process
concerning debconf templates for mediawiki1.7.

The debian-l10n-english contributors have now reviewed these templates,
and the proposed changes are attached to this bug report.

Please review the suggested changes are suggested, and if you have any
objections, let me know in the next 3 days.

Please try to avoid uploading mediawiki1.7 with these changes right now.

The second phase of this process will begin on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, when
I will
coordinate updates to translations of debconf templates.

The existing translators will be notified of the changes: they will
receive an updated PO file for their language.

Simultaneously, a general call for new translations will be sent to
the debian-i18n mailing list.

Both these calls for translations will request updates to be sent as
individual bug reports. That will probably trigger a lot of bug
reports against your package, but these should be easier to deal with.

The call for translation updates and new translations will run until
Monday, April 23, 2007. Please avoid uploading a package with fixed or changed
debconf templates and/or translation updates in the meantime. Of
course, other changes are safe.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2007, I will contact you again and will send a final patch
summarizing all the updates (changes to debconf templates,
updates to debconf translations and new debconf translations).

Again, thanks for your attention and cooperation.

So I have just recompiled xserver-xorg-core and installed recompiled
versions of packages. After this i decide to use gdb a in screen shell.

After crashing there was followed messages in screen session:

Program received signal SIGUSR1, User defined signal 1.

I'm not sure why gdb continue executing process after SIGSEGV. Will try to

Bug#418224: openoffice.org: Copy and Paste Utf8 Problem with Konqueror Html

2007-04-08 Thread Markus Raab
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.4.dfsg.2-5etch1
Severity: normal

When you copy text in Konqueror with strg+v you get utf8 encoded html
text. You can prove that it is utf8 encoded with xsel -b.

If you insert it in openoffice the text is interpreted as latin1, as:
"Schrödinger"

If you copy some text in Firefox, you get latin1 text, so xsel -b
gives fancy umlauts. But because of this bug, the pasting in openoffice
works.

The appendant kde bug is: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123865
But as shown in last message John Tapsell thinks too that it is utf8
encoded, which hardens that its the problem of openoffice.

I have removed the offending confmodule call from my postrm.

The bug, however, remains, since ucf fails badly when ucf --purge is
invoked while debconf was already removed. I have filed this as
#418218 against debconf, and I don't think it makes sense to work
around this ucf bug in a package.

Greetings
Marc

Bug#418226: ITP: gaim-sip-exchange -- Gaim plugin to connect to LCS

2007-04-08 Thread Anibal Avelar

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Anibal Avelar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

 Version : 1.0
 Upstream Author : Anibal Avelar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL :   http://fixxxer.cc/blog-en/?page_id=19
* License : GPL
 Programming Lang: C
 Description :

SIP is another popular protocol used for VoIP, and it also has an IM
(Instant Messenger) analog in the form of SIP/SIMPLE. SIP/SIMPLE is an
open protocol with a documented specification. The Live Communication
Server (LCS) has support very similar the Sip/Simple protocol, but the
SIP implementation by MSN has non standard especifications. This gaim
plug-in gives that support and it was called SIPE (SIP Exchange).

The plugin today is functional and it works for Gaim-2beta5 (or newer).

It can do this:

   * Authentication type NTLM
   * Retrieve the contacts from the server (with groups)
   * Presence in both sides,
   * Send messages (text/plain) to other users

However, it has many things to do how:

   * Receive messages from other users
   * Change status from the UI interface.

Why the LCS? Because this Communications server is extensively used on
enterprise environments (like intranets, coorporative subnets, etc)
like Novell-wise, Lotus-SameTime or Oracle Messenger.

I'm confused. ucf depends on debconf, so how are you calling ucf --purge
when debconf has been removed?

Sounds bad. Isn't this a kernel issue? I would expect it to be
responsible to shut down the raid, as the shutdown scripts can't as
long as the root file system is mounted, even if it is mounted

Package: heartbeat-2
Version: 2.0.8-1
Severity: normal

Currently if you have two clusters using broadcast heartbeats on the same
network and they have the same contents of /etc/ha.d/authkeys then Heartbeat
will get confused as to which nodes are in the cluster.

The "node" config directive determines which nodes are permitted in the
cluster, this should be authoritative and any nodes which aren't listed with
a node statement should not be permitted to join.

It's not uncommon to configure multiple clusters on one VLAN. It's also common
to duplicate servers by copying the hard drive and changing the relevant config
file settings. When duplicating a server in such a manner it's common to leave
the passwords unchanged.

http://www.linux-ha.org/authkeys

The above URL says "The authkeys configuration file contains information for
Heartbeat to use when authenticating cluster members". Authentication and
authorisation are separate issues, the current implementation apparently uses
the authkeys file for authorisation as well as authentication, the
authorisation should only be the node line in ha.cf.

*every* python package that uses python-central.

The patch proposed by Jeroen Massar, which should be applied to
/usr/share/pycentral-data/pyversions.py fixes the problem, allowing
smooth up/downgrading and installation/removal of all the affected
packages (reportbug, python-uno etc)

Bug#418221: wmgui: fail to autodetect my wii handset, "Error opening control channel"

2007-04-08 Thread Petter Reinholdtsen
I just tried to connect to the wiimote using an arm machine I have
available (Linksys NSLU2). This one was able to connect to the remote
without any problems. Here is the output from this machine:

slug:~# hcitool scan; hcitool inq 00:19:1D:C4:72:F8
  Scanning ...
  00:19:1D:C4:72:F8 Nintendo RVL-CNT-01
  Inquiring ...
  00:19:1D:C4:72:F8 clock offset: 0x6a2cclass: 0x002504
  slug:~#

This make me believe there is an endian issue. Notice how the clock
offset value is different. The Debian/arm port is as far as I know
little endian with big endian floating point numbers, while my laptop
is i386 with little endian floats as well.

Friendly,

There is a cluster ID stored in the CIB. However that is going to be copied
if you copy both nodes including configuration.

The ha.cf file already lists all nodes that are in the cluster via the "node"
directive. Surely if a node calling itself "foo" asks to join the cluster
then regardless of whether it has a suitable auth key it should not be
accepted if the list of valid nodes includes no "foo".

Even if you have the case of a valid node in the cluster having the wrong name
due to a configuration error you can't keep a valid configuration if you
allow it to join as it makes the process of determining quorum difficult.
It's impossible to know whether it's a backup copy of a node or a mis-named
node. Allowing a machine with the wrong name to join and then rejecting a
machine with the right name because the number of nodes specified in the
config file have already joined (as is currently the case) is just wrong.

There's already a python-central NMU with the necessary patch in

days to reduce the number of duplicate reports that will (inevitably)
be filed.

The beagle crash is another issue. What I feel is that in spite of any
application crash the splash screen should not look as if it is hung
(which is what is happening currently). It could either:

1) ignore the application return status
2) spawn the application and forget about it
3) Spawn the application and cry out loud if it does a boo boo (ala KDE)

It looks like it receives newlines as input, so it repeats the previous
command. Can you try running gdb directly from ssh instead of via
screen?

The splash screen remains until the application has registered to the
session manager. This is how it was designed.

The session manager is not just starting applications. It is managing
them with the XSM protocol, which, as it was designed, doesn't allow for
handling applications that crash *before* registering to the session
manager.

> 3) Spawn the application and cry out loud if it does a boo boo (ala KDE)

This is an entirely different matter. I'm working on this with
debreaper, so that even applications not linking to libgnomeui report
their crashes to the user and the BTS.

It would be nice if it was possible to install the "standard" ffmpeg
from debian, and still be able to add, for example, AAC encoding support
through libfaac. That would require ability from ffmpeg to load such
support (plugin ?) at runtime, which I don't know if it exists.

Bug#418232: Chapter title in page header broken for memoir class

2007-04-08 Thread Jordan Mantha
Package: tetex-extra
Version: 3.0.dfsg.3-4

I'm just forwarding bug #78423 from Ubuntu
(see http://launchpad.net/bugs/78423 for the complete report):

According to the documentation for the memoir.cls (page 78 of memman.pdf),
if one uses \chapter[Short title]{Long title}, then "Short title" should be
used in the table of contents, and in the page headers.

The current version in ubuntu instead gives an empty title in page
headings.

How to fix:

The file:
/usr/share/texmf-tetex/tex/latex/memoir/mempatch.sty
contains patches to memoir.cls

This exact bug is fixed by version 3.6 of mempatch.sty. Ubuntu contains
version 3.5 Therefore, this bug is fixed by updating to a more recent
upstream version.

My bad for not doing any research before commenting :)
So continuing in ignorance (partial this time), isn't it possible at
all to cater for application crashes even before they register
themselves to the session? Or is that how th splashscreen is expected
to behave anyways?

This was a bug in the python-central package that has already been
fixed, the new version should soon be available on your mirror.

I'm no X specialist, but I'm afraid X11 isn't compatible with the more
process-centric design which would allow that. You'd need to rethink
session management as a whole and it would require changes in hundreds
of applications. This may happen in the future, but it seems currently
easier to just fix applications that crash; they need to be fixed,
anyway :)

Will try, but i'm not sure, that i will get access to gdb after resuming.
Or maybe i will try to enter some command like "bt" before detaching

I'm afraid I won't add this before m32r is a supported architecture for
Debian. You can still push this upstream. Seeing your patch, you should
file a bug against nspr:

Bug#405386: How to reproduce this bug

2007-04-08 Thread Tijs van Dam
Hello,

Bug 405386's status is "resolved", but it stil exists in the Etch release.

It does not appear in all circumstances: all tag/rating information on all
items on an album is lost, if the parent album is moved *and the parent
album's name is a prefix of the subalbum's name*.

Reproduce:
- start with clean digikam
- create album "test"
- create album "test2" as a subalbum of "test"
- put an image in "test2" and assign any tag or rating
- create album "xxx"
- move "test" into "xxx"

> "test2" seems not to exist anymore. When restarting digikam, it is
rediscovered, but all tag/rating info is lost.

In the example above, if you use the name "test1" instead of "test", results
are different.

Tijs van Dam

Dstat incorrectly adds the value from /proc/meminfo/SwapCached to the value

Now that etch is released, I took a look again at your patch, and don't
really understand why your fix is different for different parts of the
code, why is not defining MAXPATHLEN and PATH_MAX to 1024 everywhere
enough ? In which case, defining them in the appropriate header would
make it work with only one patch...

possible to use the mouse in vim with :set ttymouse=xterm2. So can the
appropriate things in screen's terminfo be enabled so that vim and other
programs enable the mouse by default?

as written somewhere in another bug report, this requires a soname bump
(scheduled for lenny).

Bug#418241: possible typo in ucfq(1)

Hi,

DESCRIPTION in ucfq(1) man page says:

I suspect that this actually means "postrm", right?

Bug#418240: shouldn't .ucf-dist and .ucf-old be included in example code?

2007-04-08 Thread Marc Haber
Package: ucf
Version: 2.0020
Severity: minor

Hi,

the example code in /usr/share/doc/ucf/examples/postrm takes special
care of '~', '%', .bak, .dpkg-tmp, .dpkg-new, .dpkg-old and
..dpkg-dist. Since the ucf man page suggests that ucf creates .ucf-dist
and .ucf-old, and maintainer scripts should consider taking care of
deleting these files as well, maybe it would be a good idea to have
this done by the example code as well.

Greetings

Hrm. Removing debconf with --force-depends broke debconf-utils'
dependency on debconf. ucf handles missing debconf fine, but if
debconf-utils is installed with debconf missing, errors happen.

The issue in aide will be fixed in next upload, which will be done as
soon the release team allows me to upload ;)

Bug#417729: TreeView X will not build with gcc 4.3

2007-04-08 Thread Roderic Page

Dear Charles,

Probably the simplest course of action is if you patch it locally. I
will fix the problem in my code, but it is likely to be a while before
I release new source (I need to get things working properly with
wxWidgets 2.8, Mac OS X for Intel Macs, etc.). So, don't wait for me,
fix it, and I'll add the fix to my sources for the next release.

Regards

Rod

Dear Rod,

I have been noticed by a Debian developper doing some software
audits on the whole distribution that TreeView X will not be buildable
with gcc 4.3 unless some (trivial) modifications are applied. You can
find more information in the following bug report :

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=417729

There are two ways for me to solve this bug in Debian: either
applying a patch locally, or upgrading the package to a new upstream
version which would fix the problem. As gcc 4.3 is not yet the default
compiler in Debian, there is no hurry. I would like to know if you are
interested to release an updated version of TreeView X which
integrates the patch proposed by Martin Michlmayr in the Debian bug
report.

Bug#317242: lib3ds-dev: patch for compiling with -fPIC

2007-04-08 Thread Torok Edwin
Package: lib3ds-dev
Version: 1.2.0-4.2
Followup-For: Bug #317242

This is still not fixed in latest version.
Since lib3ds has no shared libs, the static archive needs to be built
with -fPIC, otherwise you won't be able to link with it:
/usr/bin/ld:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.1.2/../../../../lib64/lib3ds.a(io.o):
relocation R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.1.2/../../../../lib64/lib3ds.a: could not read
symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

So on amd64 (and only on amd64) you need to build with -fPIC to make this
package usable. See

Yes... I've been wanting to package tioga 1.5 for ages, but that
won't happen before, say, three weeks, as I've just moved to another

Bug#418242: bpalogin-configure uses bashism for "read" builtin

2007-04-08 Thread Ted Percival
Package: bpalogin
Version: 2.0.2-9

When /bin/sh points to /bin/dash, bpalogin-configure doesn't work --
instead it prints out messages like:

and exits without prompting for anything.

It is relying on bash to assign a response to the REPLY variable.
dash's read command must have a variable name passed to it.

Can you try linking aide statically against libc6-xen which should be
possible since glibc 2.5-0exp3? If you are successful, I'll add an

FWIW, the CD FAQ has been saying for a while that the first two CDs are
enough:

You will probably only need the first DVD (or the first two CDs) unless
  you have very special requirements.

But maybe these days even two CDs is not enough for a full desktop
install??

For even more annoyance I get the above messages repeatedly in my syslog when
I use different auth values.

Running two clusters on the same VLAN is not going to be viable until after
this bug is fixed. Do you plan to run a back-ports repository for newer
versions of Heartbeat on Etch after the release of Etch? If you are
considering such things then this makes a good reason IMHO.

Bug#313317: patch to fix 313317 and 408029 (openssh-server: PAM environment and AcceptEnv)

2007-04-08 Thread Jean-Christophe Dubacq
Package: openssh-server
Tags: patch
Followup-For: Bug #313317

Hello,

The rationale for these two merged bugs (313317 and 408029) is the same:
the environment variables sent by AcceptEnv/SendEnv functionalities
should take precedence over PAM variable settings, especially for
locale and terminal related settings (or commands that are
locale-sensitive or terminal sensitive might give incomprehensible
gibberish as output to the user). TERM is already managed in a special
way, but not LANG or LC_* variables.

AcceptEnv/SendEnv is a mechanism that allows the environment to be
passed from the local machine (ssh-client) to the remote machine
(ssh-server). The default debian installation sends LANG and all
variables matching LC_* (which is a good idea, and done by other
distributions).

Currently, the variables LANG and LC_* are set (in a default debian
installation) by pam (/etc/pamd.d/ssh) which in turn reads
/etc/environment and /etc/default/locale. It happens dans in session.c
(function do_child) the environment of the child process is set as
follows: first, copy the environment set by AcceptEnv/SendEnv, set some
more variables (TERM, TZ, depending on the system), then use pam and
copy the PAM environment inside the child environment, thus clobbering
the useful variables sent through AcceptEnv/SendEnv.

Note that there is no way it could be fixed at the PAM level: PAM
prepares the environment for the child not knowing the sent variables.
It is openssh-server that does the things in the wrong order.

What the patch does: it changes the child_set_env function in
copy_environment to child_set_env_safe (basically the same as
child_set_env but with a twist): any variable which has already been
inserted in the environment is not clobbered by copy_environment.

Since the function copy_environment is the one used to bring the PAM
settings inside the environment, the PAM settings no more clobber the
environment sent by the AcceptEnv/SendEnv mechanism. Which yields
(from a client with LANG unset, and to a server with LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 in
/etc/default/locale)

$ ssh penpen 'echo $LANG $(locale charmap)'
fr_FR.UTF-8 UTF-8
$ LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 ssh penpen 'echo $LANG $(locale charmap)'
en_GB.UTF-8 UTF-8
$ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ssh penpen 'echo $LANG $(locale charmap)'
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ISO-8859-15
$ LANG=fr_FR ssh penpen 'echo $LANG $(locale charmap)'
fr_FR ISO-8859-1

Since the current behaviour is to enforce the admin-set values, and thus
rendering the AcceptEnv/SendEnv almost useless, since critical variables
set in the environment can be enforced by the administrator by refusing
to accept them (in /etc/ssh/sshd_config) and since the default-accepted
environment variables are only limited to locale-related variables and
a default debian installation does not allow those variables to be used
(the "locales" package always sets LANG in /etc/default/locale), I think
this patch is worth being included in openssh-server. I also think it
free of security holes or memory leaks. I think it is worth being
transmitted upstream. I think some consideration should be given about
whether the "no clobber" behaviour should be the default one
(child_set_env is used several times in session.c and some should
probably consider using child_set_env_safe with the same rationale), but
it is part of a more general reflexion on this and does not interfere in
any way with these two bugs.

Moreover, I did not raise the importance of this bug, but for the
record, this bug is one that seriously hampers the UTF-8 transition
(since some machines are still in ISO-8859 charsets, people that access
both have to cope manually with guessing what is the best encoding). For
this reason, I know a few computer scientists that decided to stay in
ISO-8859 encoding (since their remote machines do not recognise
automatically the encoding they are in, and are usually set in
ISO-8859).

Thanks for your help !
The only remark I would make is about that change:
-_Description: Administrative user for mediawiki1.7:
- Please provide a mysql account that has administrative access to your old
- mediawiki1.5 database.
+_Description: Database user for MediaWiki 1.7:
+ Please provide a MySQL account that has administrative access to the
+ MediaWiki 1.5 database.

mediawiki should have two access account, one for usual access and one for
this purpose. Most of the users don't know about the second one and may
likely anwser with the first one here. I think it would be better to enforce
this separation by using the title:
Database administrative user for mediawiki1.7

Furthermore, this denomination is not used again in next question:
+_Description: Administrative password for MediaWiki 1.5:
For means of consistency, I would rename this to the same as above.

I'm not sure. I've never looked very much at CD2. I'd expect that all the
actual GNOME desktop stuff is on CD2. What would be nice to determine is
if all packages belonging to language tasks are on CD2.
If not, then we should probably increase this to 3 CDs.

And maybe check if a significant portion of KDE and Xfce tasks are on CD2.

Package: mysql-server-5.0

When trying to INSERT into a view using "WITH_CHECK_OPTION" fails while the
view is empty.
INSERT'ing also fails after a row has been inserted into the underlying table
and works once
one has inserted a row into the underlying table and SELECTs from the view.

More information including error messages and an SQL dump can be found at

I'm unsure about if this is really a bug, but the behaviour (having to SELECT

It's only used as authorisation when "autojoin" is enabled. That is the
whole point of the autojoin method.

Users should not run distinct clusters on the same network media. (ie,
the same subnets + port when using bcast, nor the same mcast address +
port.)

When autojoin is not enabled, this will cause a bunch of errors. If they
have distinct shared secrets, they'll bail at the authentication step.

If they have _both_ the same key _and_ the same media _plus_ autojoin
enabled, they'll merge into one big cluster.

Sincerely,
Lars

Bug#418249: [PATCH] libnet_build_ntp broken in libnet 1.1.2

2007-04-08 Thread Matthias Lederhofer
Package: libnet1-dev
Version: 1.1.2.1-2

The rec_ts_{int,frac} parameter weren't used at all and ntp_rec_ts was
initialized with the same values as ntp_orig_ts. The fix is quite
obvious, see patch below.

This bug is fixed in libnet 1.1.3 (beta) the same way.

Bug#418250: aiccu: [INTL:it] Italian debconf template translation

2007-04-08 Thread Stefano Canepa
Package: aiccu
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch l10n

Please find attached the italian debconf templates update, proofread by the
debian-l10n-italian mailing list contributors.

Please, for the next updates you make to this package templates,
consider warning translators before uploading the package and leave
them a delay for translation updates.

The "podebconf-report-po" utility which is in the po-debconf package
starting from its 0.8.15 version will do this job for you. See its man
page for details.

If you already did this, please forget about these remarks, of
courseThis message is generic..:-)

When python2.4 and python2.5 is installed python2.4-pysqlite2 does not

Bug#414535: Please Set Workaround Environment Variable

2007-04-08 Thread David Nusinow
Package: sun-java6-jre
Version: 6-00-2

Hello,
The XSF is going to be uploading XCB to unstable soon, and we want to
see this problem at least be manageable. Novell has a patch that we'll be
using[0] that allows XCB to ignore the locking issue if the
LIBXCB_SLOPPY_LOCK environment variable is set. If the variable is not set,
the error in this bug report will still cause problems. We'll be uploading
this patch in the next few days to either experimental or unstable. If you
have any additional questions, please cc debian-x@lists.debian.org so we
can respond.

 - David Nusinow

[0] Actually, we got a version from Ubuntu that's more permissive, but we
want to catch these bugs, so we're shipping the restrictive one from
Novell.

Bug#418256: screen stays black after resume, workaround is to switch to console and back

2007-04-08 Thread Erich Schubert
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:1.9.94-1
Severity: normal

Hi,
I'm using ususpend to ram (s2ram) a lot, using the hibernate package.
Suspending usually works fine, however the screen always comes back as
just black. A workaround I've discovered is to switch to text mode (Ctrl
+Alt+F1) and back to the video console (Ctrl+Alt+F7). I've also had the
impression (didn't test it thoroughly yet, though) that when I do this
too fast, the xserver locks up (i.e. switch back to the video console
before the text console screen is reinitialized).
I'd also like to point out that the text console screen is just as
black, I didn't try to get the login prompt displayed yet, either.

hibernate has some options such as switching to text mode before doing
the suspend, but enabling them didn't help. I remember the
non-modesetting driver to have worked better here, hibernate called
915resolution after resume and then switched to the video console and
that worked just fine.

Bug#417578: ending slash

2007-04-08 Thread Thomas Krennwallner

Hi!

Chali Ahmul wrote:
> What's the reason to write the ending slash anyway?

No particular reason, if I had something like

  plot "foo1.dat" title "foo1", \
   "foo2.dat" title "foo2", \
   "foo3.dat" title "foo3"

and I wanted to exclude foo2.dat, I would comment the second line out and get

  plot "foo1.dat" title "foo1", \
# "foo2.dat" title "foo2", \
   "foo3.dat" title "foo3"

But thanks to this bug I have only ended up without an eps file. Alternatively,
I would have excepted a proper syntax error message, but no luck on this one
either.

Best regards,
Thomas

Which parts, precisely?

Some of the dependencies of CUPS might be linked with the X client
libraries. This shouldn't require installation of an X server,
however.

Hi!

If I do add such dependency, then that means I force people to use the
debian package for the Xen kernel. I personally always use the source
distribution of Xen.

If you want, I can put it in the suggest, what do you think?

Thomas

P.S: I got an update of the package in my CVS but had no time to
release. This has a better postinst that works.
