Bug#393621: apt-listchanges: [INTL:fr] French program translation
Package: apt-listchanges Version: N/A Severity: wishlist Tags: patch l10n (this is a standard message, not customized for your package) Please find attached the french translation of this package's programs, proofread by the debian-l10n-french mailing list contributors. This file should be put as "fr.po" in the appropriate po/ directory. If this package is not a native Debian package, please don't forget to forward this translation to the upstream maintainer. Depending on the version of the build tools or the build process used in the software, you may have to update the LINGUAS variable in the configure scripts in case the french translation is a *new* translation for this software/package. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR.UTF-8) # translation of fr.po to French # Copyright (C) YEAR ORGANIZATION. # # Christian Perrier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, 2004, 2006. msgid "" msgstr "" "Project-Id-Version: fr\n" "POT-Creation-Date: 2006-10-12 13:21+CEST\n" "PO-Revision-Date: 2006-10-12 18:15+0200\n" "Last-Translator: Christian Perrier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>\n" "Language-Team: French \n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n" "X-Generator: KBabel 1.11.4\n" "Plural-Forms: Plural-Forms: nplurals=2; plural=n>1;\n" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:85 msgid "Unknown frontend: %s\n" msgstr "Interface inconnue : %s\n" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:110 msgid "%s: will be newly installed" msgstr "%s : sera installé pour la première fois" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:119 msgid "%s: Version %s has already been seen" msgstr "%s : la version %s a déjà été vue" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:152 msgid "News for %s" msgstr "Nouveautés pour %s" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:163 msgid "Changes for %s" msgstr "Modifications pour %s" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:173 msgid "Informational notes" msgstr "Notes d'information" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:185 msgid "Aborting" msgstr "Abandon" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:188 msgid "Confirmation failed, don't save seen state" msgstr "Échec de la confirmation, état vu (« seen ») non sauvegardé" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:194 msgid "apt-listchanges: changelogs for %s" msgstr "apt-listchanges : journaux des modifications (« changelogs ») pour %s" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:198 msgid "apt-listchanges: news for %s" msgstr "apt-listchanges : nouveautés pour %s" #: ../apt-listchanges.py:210 msgid "didn't find any valid .deb archives" msgstr "impossible de trouver une archive .deb valide" #: ../apt-listchanges/apt_listchanges.py:103 msgid "Ignoring `%s' (seems to be a directory !)" msgstr "« %s » ignoré (semble être un répertoire)" #: ../apt-listchanges/apt_listchanges.py:197 msgid "Usage: apt-listchanges [options] {--apt | filename.deb ...}\n" msgstr "Syntaxe : apt-listchanges [options] {--apt | fichier.deb ...}\n" #: ../apt-listchanges/apt_listchanges.py:252 msgid "Unknown option %s for --which. Bug#392785: Zope-book (Was: Rebuilding all etch packages inside etch)
On Mon, 16 Oct 2006, Igor Stroh wrote: ... the "stable" upstream version of zope-book is a reference for the ancient zope 2.6 and the zope-book for zope 2.7 is still beeing worked on. So, to be honest, I've lost interest in zope-book packaging altogether and would recommend to remove it from Debian, since it's almost outdated now. ... and certainly will be not of much use when zope2.10 will become the default zope version, the only useful part of it is probably the TAL reference I personally came to the same conclusion. Anybody out there who wants to keep zope-book in Debian? Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#393624: aegis: FTBFS when built as root
Package: aegis Version: 4.22-2 Severity: wishlist Hi, The aegis package FTBFS when the build is run as root. Some tests fail, claiming the "user root too privileged". Example: CXX="g++" /bin/sh etc/test.sh -shell /bin/sh -run \ test/02/t0231a-walt.sh test/02/t0231a-walt.ES aegis: Warning: The setlocale() function failed. This results in you seeing the short form of the error messages. You may need to check the settings of your LC_ALL and LANG environment variables. Use the "locale -a" command to obtain a list of valid locales. If the list is very short, you may have a glibc install problem. aegis: user root too privileged NO RESULT when testing the 'aedist -rec' functionality (new project 132) Even if nothing in policy forbids aegis from such behaviour, it would be a good idea to allow building as root, since this makes it slightly harder to test the aegis package during automated test builds, for example. Bug#393629: quota: ldapmail support not enabled
Subject: quota: ldapmail support not enabled Package: quota Version: 3.14-1 Severity: normal Please enable ldapmail support. All of the documentation for ldap mail is included, but the ldapmail feature is configured out at build time. Please also make a note in the README.Debian that the ldapmail feature doesn't exist until you enable it as it cost me a fair amount of time trying to diagnose why it was not working after being configured. I had the download the source package to confirm that it was not enabled after I configured my warnquota with directions from README.ldap-support. On a related note, if there is any other support for ldap in the quota package it would be nice to see it enabled as well. Bug#198075: gnu-smalltalk: (m68k/unstable) FTBFS segfaults during build
Roman Zippel wrote: Hi, I looked into the build problems and with the attached patch I can successfully build the package and even the test complete successfully. The main problem is with heap_block in alloc.h, which causes all following structures to be misaligned. The other problem is that the configure script doesn't configure the fault handler correctly, the m68k check is too late and CFG_FAULT already has been set fault-posix.h. Great, thanks! Bug#390949: Confirming what Nikolai said
Hi! After reading what Nikolai said, I remembered that some time ago I added an alternative of python. So pytho here is: /usr/bin/python -> /etc/alternatives/python /etc/alternatives/python -> /usr/bin/python2.4 And running "pyversions -r 'current'" I get: $ pyversions -r 'current' pythonlternatives/python Changing the link to /usr/bin/python -> /usr/bin/python2.4 the versions is correct again: # pyversions -r 'current' python2.4 Maybe this version test needs to be redone, so cases like this won't fail again? Bug#198075: gnu-smalltalk: (m68k/unstable) FTBFS segfaults during build
The other problem is that the configure script doesn't configure the fault handler correctly, the m68k check is too late and CFG_FAULT already has been set fault-posix.h. This means that, in theory, the fault-posix.h handler was found to work. In fact, from http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=gnu-smalltalk;ver=2.1.8-2.1;arch=m68k;stamp=1156726548 I see this: checking whether a fault handler according to POSIX works... yes ... checking whether a fault handler according to Linux/m68k works... yes ... checking if the system supports catching SIGSEGV... yes I have applied your patch to my copy of libsigsegv, but I hesitate a bit in applying it upstream. Sure; but does the new beagle-dev depend on libbeagle-dev? That would let people developing in C switch to libbeagle-dev whenever it's convenient for them, and continue to build-depend on beagle-dev in the meantime without their packages being broken by this transition. Bug#393650: Firefox randomly closing, then refusing to restart with segfault
Package: mozilla-firefox Version: 1.0.4-2sarge11 Recently (since about last week's xfree86 security update), Mozilla Firefox has sometimes (every day or two) either refused to start or randomly closed itself (without any error message) and refused to restart. Once it has appeared the problem persists through multiple start attempts, until cleared by either rebooting the system or reinstalling Firefox (apt-get install mozilla-firefox mozilla-firefox-gnome-support --reinstall). On a failed start from the Applications menu or desktop icon, the menu closes normally but nothing else visible happens. On a failed start from a terminal, the error message can be either just "Segmentation fault" or "/usr/bin/firefox: line 349: 3610 Segmentation fault DISPLAY="${CMDLINE_DISPLAY}" ${MOZ_PROGRAM} -remote 'ping()' >/dev/null 2>&1 Segmentation fault". While it is possible that the cause is outside Firefox (I run a commercial on-access antivirus which doesn't officially support Debian (http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/4377.html) and get a lot of "INIT: No inittab file found" hangs on shutdown/reboot, though /etc/inittab is in fact present), nothing else seems to be crashing like this. I am running Sarge, with all security updates, dual boot with Windows 98 on an Intel Celeron 500MHz, 256MB RAM, RTL8139 Ethernet card connected to college network. I know how to program, but mostly do games/simulations and have never worked on anything as security-critical as a web browser. When I tried to obtain a stack trace, I got the following: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ firefox %u /usr/bin/firefox: line 349: 3610 Segmentation fault DISPLAY="${CMDLINE_DISPLAY}" ${MOZ_PROGRAM} -remote 'ping()' >/dev/null 2>&1 Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gdb firefox GNU gdb 6.3-debian Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Whose shlibs file do we need to look at? The first problem is: Package: r-cran-fseries Architecture: any Depends: r-base-core (>= 2.3.0), r-cran-fbasics (>= 201.10059), r-cran-fcalendar, r-cran-mgcv (>= 1.1.5), r-cran-vr (>= 7.2.8) You aren't using the shlibs:Depends substitution in your debian/control file, so *all* shared library dependencies are missing for the package! There is a potential collateral problem with having different packages built against multiple versions of libgfortran because libgfortran doesn't use versioned symbols, but that's a rather general problem in the archive today and doesn't have nearly the same priority as getting these packages' dependencies fixed. Bug#393651: subversion: Problems with psvn.el
Package: subversion Version: 1.4.0-5 Severity: normal The problems described below also occurr with a the backport from backports.org, 1.3.2-5~bpo1, within emacs21 from sarge or an emacs-snapshot backport. Therefore it's likely that this also affects sarge. - If I mark a single file with `m', the marked file with a green font shows up one line above the old place, hiding the file that was above it before marking, and the unmarked entry is still there. I need to press `g' to bring things in line again. Marking with `* M' or similar doesn't have this effect - when editing the commit message, there's a problem with line wrapping. The buffer starts with lines that indicate the files to commit, each prepended with two # signs, and a short explanation that everything commented that way will not end up in the log message. Now, when the message I type below is line-wrapped, the second line is again started with two ## signs. The following problem I only observed with the testing version, backported to sarge: - Each time after committing, I get an error message 'Unknown action "" for '. It looks like it first successfully commits, but then wants to do "something else" and find that there's an empty list of tasks left. Would this be something to do with libwnck? This has most likely something to do with the metacity theme support change from 2.14 -> 2.16. What you could try is install libmetacity-dev from experimental and "apt-get source compiz". Then remove the 012_metacity-theme-support.patch line from compiz-0.2.0/debian/patches/series and rebuild using debuild or dpkg-buildpackage (you may need to run apt-get build-dep compiz first). If I open an existing project (hello.gpr), it acts as if it didn't open anything, and a second attempt to open the project (or, indeed, to open any file at all) throws this error: raised STORAGE_ERROR : s-intman.adb:158 explicit raise" The above also occurs when I tell it to start with a default project in any directory and then attempt to open a file. If I attempt to create a new standalone project with the wizard, gnat-gps goes into an infinite loop and appears to never come out of it. The bottom line is that, at least on the amd64 platform, gnat-gps appears to be completely unusable. I'll be happy to help debug this however I can, but keep in mind that I'm rather new to Ada (it's been 15 years or so since I've done anything with it, and that was only a college course at that). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-amd64-generic Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages gnat-gps depends on: ii libc62.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.3-2The GLib library of C routines ii libgnat-4.1 4.1.1-15Runtime library for GNU Ada applic ii libgnatprj4.14.1.1-15GNU Ada Project Manager ii libgnatvsn4.14.1.1-15GNU Ada compiler version library ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.20-1The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtkada-2.82.8.1-4 Ada binding for the GTK library ii libpango1.0-01.14.5-1Layout and rendering of internatio ii libtemplates-parser1010.0+20060522-4 Ada library to parse files and rep ii python2.42.4.3-8 An interactive high-level object-o ii tcl8.4 8.4.12-1.1 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 Versions of packages gnat-gps recommends: ii ada-reference-m 20021112web-3The standard describing the Ada 95 ii gnat4.1.1-11 The GNU Ada compiler ii gnat-gdb5.3.gnat.0.0.20030225-12 Ada-aware version of GDB pn gnat-gps-doc (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#364749: new pgf upstream fixing license problems, nmu prepared
Dear Ohura-san! Till prepared a new upstream version for pgf which fixes the license problems and gives complete statements on the license of each file. Furthemore it fixes the open bug about the wrong pointing arrows. I took the liberty to prepare a nmu. Quoting Eric Dorland: > split the license on > the logo to have a DSFG-free copyright license and the same, > restrictive trademark license. This is essentially the planned route Debian is taking for its logo (the bug fix here is taking a disturbingly long time, but hopefully it will happen soon). There appears to be no legal obstacle to this route (if you have legal advice to the contrary, please share with debian-legal). It appears that aggressive enforcement of trademarks for their intended purpose, namely clearly identifying the origin and identity of a product, is entirely DFSG-compatible (note the DFSG clause which specifies that name change requirements are OK). Restrictions which go beyond the original function of trademarks are generally not DFSG-free, but are also unnecessary for trademark defense. This is just an FYI matter, as it is really quite off the main topic of the bug. -- Nathanael Nerode <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> A thousand reasons. http://www.thousandreasons.org/ Lies, theft, war, kidnapping, torture, rape, murder... Package: fatsort Version: 0.9.6.1-1 Severity: wishlist It would be nice if fatsort checked if the device is mounted before actually writing to it. Bug#198075: gnu-smalltalk: (m68k/unstable) FTBFS segfaults during build

Indeed, it seems the posix handler works better than I expected, I reverted that patch and rerun the checks: Test passed. PASS: sigsegv1 Test passed. PASS: sigsegv2 SKIP: stackoverflow1 SKIP: stackoverflow2 == All 2 tests passed (2 tests were not run) == This is the same result as with the m68k fault handler, so you can drop this part of the patch. Probably what had me confused here is that I've seen upstream complete all tests: http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=libsigsegv;ver=2.4-3;arch=m68k;stamp=1159196519 but that's not an immediate issue, I'll look into that later... Anyway, thanks for reacting so quickly. bye, Roman -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#393653: apt-get update loops, infinite download of the same .pdiff files
Package: apt Version: 0.6.46 Severity: critical Tags: security Justification: breaks unrelated software Feel free to change severity as fit - "critical" is the highest but being unable to upgrade or install packages breaks the whole system as it gets more and more outdated with time. And of course I don't get security updates this way either. "apt-get update" seems to not terminate at all. It produces output like this: Get:36 2006-10-14-1418.40.pdiff [30.0kB] Get:37 2006-10-14-1418.40.pdiff [30.0kB] Get:38 2006-10-10-1317.34.pdiff [80.8kB] Get:39 2006-10-16-1354.47.pdiff [1160B] Get:40 2006-10-16-1354.47.pdiff [1160B] Get:41 2006-10-11-1350.40.pdiff [360B] Get:42 2006-10-11-1350.40.pdiff [36.1kB] Get:43 2006-10-11-1350.40.pdiff [36.1kB] Get:44 2006-10-13-1359.55.pdiff [807B] Get:45 2006-10-12-1433.11.pdiff [598B] Get:46 2006-10-12-1433.11.pdiff [598B] Get:47 2006-10-06-1339.35.pdiff [4878B] Get:48 2006-10-14-1418.40.pdiff [1417B] Get:49 2006-10-14-1418.40.pdiff [1417B] Here 2006-10-14-1418.40.pdiff seems to repeat over and over. Several other names do too - this never stops. apt-get forever remains at "99% Packages rred." Theoretically, this might terminate someday. But something is definitely wrong when "update" takes *much* more time than the weekly dist-upgrade takes. Installing single packages with "apt-get" still works sometimes, but this too becomes impossible as the packages referenced from my outdated package database no longer exists in the pool. I can't upgrade to the newer "apt" for example, because it isn't in the database and "update" fails. "dist-upgrade" also fail trying to fetch outdated packages. So I am stuck. Of course, this is the price of using testing+unstable. I'll try downloading the newest apt package manually and install it using dpkg. This version of "apt" is dangerous in that it 1) Gets itself stuck 2) It becomes a ddos attack on the debian servers, if many users starts unattended "apt-get update" and keep downloading forever. apt-get is indeed slow today . . . -- Package-specific info: -- (/etc/apt/preferences present, but not submitted) -- Pasted in manually, as "reporbug" crashes with some kind of unicode error when I let it include files itself: Package:* Pin: release a=stable Pin-Priority:800 Package: * Pin: release a=testing Pin-Priority: 900 Package: * Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 800 Package: * Pin: release a=experimental Pin-Priority: 700 Package: * Pin: release o=Debian Pin-Priority: -10 -- (/etc/apt/sources.list present, but not submitted) -- Included manually, as reportbug otherwise crashes: #testing=etch #unstable=sid #stable=sarge deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free #Sikkerhetsoppdateringer deb http://security.debian.org/ sarge/updates main contrib non-free # Stable: deb ftp://ftp.fi.debian.org/pub/debian stable main contrib non-free #Testing: deb ftp://ftp.fi.debian.org/pub/debian testing main contrib non-free #deb ftp://ftp.fi.debian.org/pub/debian-non-US testing/non-US main contrib non-f ree #Unstable deb ftp://ftp.fi.debian.org/pub/debian unstable main contrib non-free #Experimental deb http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ ../project/experimental main #Andre som ogs distribuerer .deb-filer: #initng deb http://debian.space-based.de/debs/ experimental main #deb ftp://ftp.uninett.no/pub/linux/packages/openoffice-debian testing main cont rib deb http://developer.skulelinux.no/~gautehk/ooo-deb ./ deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main #djbdns binrpakker deb http://smarden.org/pape/Debian sarge unofficial #mozilla thunderbird prerelease deb http://people.debian.org/~asac/testing ./ #26/9 2004 DRI X #See http://www.nixnuts.net/files/README.txt deb http://www.nixnuts.net/files/ ./ deb-src http://www.nixnuts.net/files/ ./ #libdvdcss deb http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/debian sid main -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (800, 'stable'), (700, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.19-rc1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc62.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-13The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages apt recommends: pn debian-archive-keyring (no description available) -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
