Updated Debian Parted DEBs to reflect latest debian release of GNU utility:

http://metztli.it/readOnlyEphemeral/debian-parted-3.2-14_reiser4.tar

If in addition to DEBs in tar above, you need to build the UDEBs with
Reiser4-support for Parted in d-i, here is Reiser4 -enabled source:

Best Professional Regards.

Bug#813232: debootstrap: Two-staged bootstrapping with --second-stage broken

2016-01-30 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.78
Severity: important

Hi!

Since the upgrade to version 1.0.76 it's no longer possible to create chroots
with --foreign and a consequential --second-stage which is particularly useful
when creating a base system for a foreign architecture. Downgrading to 1.0.75
fixes the issue.

To reproduce:

root@z6:/srv/chroots> debootstrap --no-check-gpg --foreign --variant=buildd
unstable /srv/chroots/sid-amd64-sbuild/ ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian

root@z6:/srv/chroots> chroot sid-amd64-sbuild/

I: Keyring file not available at
/usr/share/keyrings/debian-archive-keyring.gpg; switching to https mirror
https://mirrors.kernel.org/debian
I have no name!@z6:/#

A simple hotfix is to disable setup_devices in "functions" by letting the
function exit without actually doing anything by just adding "return 0" as
the first statement. I assume that setup_devices is deprecated with the recent
changes and is therefore broken. But this should be fixed properly in any
case.

Cheers,
Adrian

Bug#813242: debootstrap: second stage foreign boostrap fails

2016-01-30 Thread Michael Büsch
Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.75
Severity: important

I use debootstrap in combination with qemu-user (binfmt-misc) to bootstrap
Raspbian armhf on a Debian sid amd64 host.
The first stage works fine, but in recent debootstrap releases the second stage
fails.
debootstrap --second-stage fails without any message with error code 1. It just
seems to do nothing and return an error.
I downgraded to debootstrap 1.0.75, which does not have the problem.

Please tell more about the hardware. (Is it brand new?)

Which version of the Debian Installer did you use?

Something else. A bugreport can be made with any e-mail client program.
( put on first line 'Package: name-of-the-package' ) Your bugreport
looks like sends from a succesfull installed computer, which has
`reportbug` installed.

Did you succeed your install or did you use another computer
to report this bug about failed DHCP?

Is an older version of debian-installer succesfull in installing
on the (new?) computer we are talking about?
