given a few xfce components are being updated those days, I guess it
makes sense to ask xfce maintainers what they want to see in the xfce
task. Adding them to the loop so that they can comment.

Since there's nothing more needed apparently, added a bug closure to

Comments/Problems:

This is my sons laptop. It is actually faster than my own and has more RAM, it
is
larger, too. I looked the machine up in the kmuto debian hcl and installed on a
16 GB
SD-disk, because the laptop has a cardreader built in, so no tampering with the
harddisk
is necessary at all and it went just fine, really.
3D-accelleration works, GNOME does not start up in fallback mode.

Hi,

while preparing the flash-kernel s-p-u upload, I noticed the following:

FK_CHECKOUT=. ./test_db
| Android-Boot-Device Boot-Device Boot-DTB-Path Boot-Initrd-Path

| kibi@arya:~/debian-installer/packages/flash-kernel$ LANG=en_GB.UTF-8

U-Boot-Script-Name

| failed: test_no_unknown_fields

(See how Bootloader-Sets-Root moves.)

I think I'll work around it by exporting LC_ALL=C for wheezy (which is
affected by a similar issue with the tagged-but-not-uploaded 3.3+deb7u1),
at least until a proper fix lands in master. Fetching more changes from
master, including the Bootloader-Sets-Root case change, looks way too
intrusive for wheezy, and it isn't sufficient anyway.

Mraw,
KiBi.

installation completed successfully. Then decided to make change, so restarted
install
with minor partitioning changes, and selected desktop option as well. Got
warning that
there was a problem. Went back, retried, same error. Went back, remove desktop,
and the
install completed successfully. Manually installed X11 without a problem.

Comments/Problems:

The problem was in the package selection process. Didn't try to test
the other permutations.

This is the second linux system that is being installed on this box.
The first install is slackware 14. Swap is being shared. All of the
debian partitions are logical partitions.

Re: Dropping kfreebsd-8?

Some other things I'm wondering about are:

stable updates - would we need to keep kfreebsd-8 at least in sid to be
able to do these? If kfreebsd-8 is removed from testing would that
cause problems for p-u's version constraints?

d-i - kfreebsd-8 builds udebs - are these still needed in sid to build
wheezy point releases? Or are only the packages in wheezy needed?
Would it make any difference if kfreebsd-8 is removed from testing but
not sid?

Or is it adequate to just file an RC bug "do not release with jessie"
and keep it in testing up until freeze time?

Regards,
