Bug#548589: installation-reports: [G-I] graphical ui does not start -- some additional information
Additional investigation: I have a daily build netinst image lying around from 03.09.2009. With this, the graphical installer starts fine. The first part of the error message (: 1027): Gdk-CRITICAL -- gdk_drawable_set_colormap assertion `cmap == NULL || gdk_drawable_get_depth (drawable) == cmap->visual->depth failed appears with that installer image, too, so that seems to be not a real problem. And some info on my hardware, that I forgot in the previos mail: the machine is an IBM Thinkpad T23 with Pentium 3 processor and S3 Super-Savage graphic. Re: Persian translation
Quoting Sameer Rahmani (lxsam...@gmail.com): > Does debian installer support persian language ? Not yet. There have been some early efforts to translate D-I to Persian but none of them has been achieved enough for Persian language to be activated. So, in short, we still need to find someone (some people) committed enough *for a sufficient long time* to work on Persian translations. Details about D-I localization are given on http://d-i.debian.org/doc/i18n -- signature.asc Description: Digital signature
