Bug#807554: src:nghttp2: Please remove jemalloc as a build-dependency on m68k

2015-12-10 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: nghttp2
Version: 1.5.0-1
Severity: important
User: debian-68k@lists.debian.org
Usertags: m68k

Hello!

nghttp2 is currently BD-Uninstallable on m68k as it build-depends on
jemalloc which currently FTBFS on this architecture [1].

Thus, please add m68k to the list of architectures (which currently
contains hurd-i386 only) which do *not* build-depend on jemalloc.

And, currently, jemalloc even FTBFS on many other architectures due
to testsuite failures [2] which could make nghttp2 BD-Uninstallable
on even more architectures and transitively make even packages like
curl which has a ton of reverse build-dependencies BD-Uninstallable.

According to the nghttp2 developers, jemalloc is recommended only
but not required, so it might be a good idea to temporarily drop
jemalloc as a build-dependency until all problems in jemalloc
are sorted out.

Cheers,
Adrian

Bug#807589: libechonest: FTBFS on all architectures due to mismatched symbols file(s)

2015-12-10 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: libechonest
Version: 2.3.1-0.2
Severity: serious

Hello!

libechonest currently fails to build from source on *all* architectures
due to mismatched symbols file(s) after an unsuccessful NMU to fix
these files.

Please use the logs provided by the buildds [1] to fix the symbols for ALL
architectures, even on older architectures like m68k or sh4.

If you need assistance updating the symbol files for these architectures,
please let me know and I will help as I am an active porter for most
Debian Ports architectures.

Cheers,

Adrian

Bug#807590: soprano: FTBFS on m68k due to mismatched symbols file

2015-12-10 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: soprano
Version: 2.9.4+dfsg-3
Severity: important
User: debian-68k@lists.debian.org
Usertags: m68k

Hello!

soprano currently FTBFS on m68k because the symbols file is mismatched
for this architecture. Please use diff provided by the buildd log [1]
to update your symbols file.

At first glance, it seems it should be enough to remove "m68k" from all lines
in the symbols file which contain "(optional=gccinternal|arch=alpha m68k sh4)"
but this should be carefully verified for all symbols which are mismatched
according to the build log.

Thanks,
Adrian
