DebConf BoF on m68k failure to make it for etch

2007-05-07 Thread Wouter Verhelst
Hi,

I applied for and was granted a BoF at DebConf to discuss what happened
to m68k during the etch release cycle. The idea would be to first
explain why we didn't make it, and then have a discussion with the
people present at the BoF to figure out improvements to the current set
of rules, so that if they get implemented we (hopefully) can make the
cut for the next release slightly easier as well as avoiding that the
same thing happens to other architectures needlessly.

In order to prepare my BoF properly, I'd like to ask if any of you can
think of reasons for the failure other than what my idea is (which boils
down "we were backlogged b/c of gcc, then got kicked out of testing, and
never really recovered from that in testing"). I'll be reading some
mailinglist archives "some time soon", but any other feedback might help
as well.

Thanks,

[buildd] scribus-ng

2007-05-07 Thread Christian T. Steigies
Hi,
vault13 seems to have picked up scribus-ng, even though aahz was building it
(for the second time, with a higher timeout). I registered it for aahz
again, scribus-ng is installed, but vault13 is still building the package?

Interesting. When I get some time again, and after I experiment with a
2.6 kernel in Sarge, I'll see if I can get Etch installed on one of the
Q840avs and see if "startx r" results in the desired outcome. Thanks
for the tip.
