More, better information needed about events
Hey guys, Please don't read this wrong - I think in general people are doing an awesome job of organising DebConf and it's a great event as always - fun and effective for bringing people together to share their Debian work. But: *Please* can we have more information provided about special events (e.g. daytrips, BBQ, conf dinner) provided in a more timely manner? Particularly for those events where food is included, it's *very* stressful for those folks with special/awkward food requirements to be kept guessing as to what might be provided. :-( -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK.st...@einval.com There's no sensation to compare with this Suspended animation, A state of bliss

Morretes train day trip
Hey folks, It looks like the train trip is massively over-subscribed already. Is there any scope to add more spaces for this please? Is this limited by actual train space, or by the number of volunteers to act as guides? The link in the wiki page to https://www.serraverdeexpress.com.br/pacotedetremmorretesantonina is giving me a 404 in Firefox, which makes it difficult to get very far on my own... -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK.st...@einval.com "I've only once written 'SQL is my bitch' in a comment. Onsite anti-harassment contacts?
Hi folks, A little later than hoped, but... It looks like I'm the only member of the Debian AH team on site in Curitiba. I'm happy to help and support efforts here if needed. Who should I be talking to or working with on the local team, please? -- Steve, for the AH team
DebConf Committee updates?
Hey folks, I was just looking through some of the older debconf wiki pages. I can see that https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf_Committee exists, with the header saying "Old DebConf wiki For content since 2019, see the Debian wiki". But I don't see any matching page in the main Debian wiki. Have there been any updates please? Maybe worth adding a direct link to a page (and add the page!) https://wiki.debian.org/DebConf/Committee with current content? -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK.st...@einval.com "Managing a volunteer open source project is a lot like herding kittens, except the kittens randomly appear and disappear because they have day jobs." -- Matt Mackall
Expected number of attendees for conference bags?
Hey folks, My company (Pexip) is sponsoring this year and we're trying to work out what to (maybe) do for swag. How many attendees / conference bags are we expecting please? Cheers. Steve -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK.st...@einval.com We don't need no education. We don't need no thought control.

So, we're leaning towards doing some branded socks, to be a little different. Could I ask for an idea of the T-shirt sizing data for attendees please? It won't be a perfect fit as a proxy for sock size, but we're hoping it will give us something to go on. DC22 and incident support - checking in
Hey folks, As is usual, the Community Team is available to help with any harassment-type issues at DebConf. I'm aiming to be on-site for the last day of DebCamp through to the end of DebConf, and I believe Sruthi will be around too. Who's running this side of things from the local team, please?
