Re: [Debconf-team] [Debconf11-localteam] [Debconf-discuss] Shuttles/Buses from Zagreb to Banja Luka cancelled

Barring an odd summer storm, it'll be pretty hot in the city and if you don't have any travel impairments such as small children or similar :) it'll be easy to simply have a seat in an outdoor park or a bar and wait those four or five hours out, and later take a nap again in the bus. I've no idea if the bus station has some sort of compartments for advance storage of luggage, it might have; so one might also be able to take a free walk, the city is all lit up all night, nobody really cares about light pollution :/ and it's reasonably safe, because at that time of night, the most typical problem would be drunk kids making noise or driving too fast, all of which should be trivial to ignore. As for hotels, it's like with any other not-very-small European city - there's a smattering of them and you can look for them using various hotel search engines. For example I use a fairly randomly selected, American web site http://www.kayak.com/maps where you can zoom into the location of the bus station - e.g. type in "Av Marina Drzica 10, Zagreb, Croatia" in their search and then look around, sort by price, stars, amenities, etc. You can also draw a circle so it's easy to see the distance from the bus station. Also, generic tourist info for Zagreb is available by Googling and at Wikitravel, so start by simply having a look around :) -- 2. SARNET allocated one /18 from RIPE, which means asking them for a /22 would be asking for over 5% of their entire address space. -- 2. Re: [Debconf-team] [Debconf11-localteam] DebConf11 TV Ad?

BTW, did anything happen with this? I came back to it as I saw the news of that slightly facetious report on knitting at the end of the news programme at -discuss. http://www.vladars.net/sr-SP-Cyrl/Vlada/Ministarstva/mnk/media/vijesti/Pages/DebConf11.aspx says a senior official was a guest in the morning TV show last Friday, and that the Ministry of Science and Technology held a press conference about it. Does anyone have a record of what was said there? http://rtrs.tv/print.php says that next Thursday at 13:30 they're airing a half-hour report on the Debian conference. -- 2. I'm going to be attending DebConf this year, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to secure sponsorship for everything from my employer. I think it'll happen, but I can't be sure this early in the year, what with all the crisis talk and whatnot. Is it okay that I register now for a full sponsorship, and then cancel some or all of it later on? Second question - is it possible for my girlfriend who will accompany me, to register for any of the sponsored things, even though she has no formal association with Debian? And then the same question about cancelation? -- 2.
