I think that's too much. 4-5 busses in the morning and evening are fine, but those who sleep longer (or simple dont go a the main times) should organize their own means of transport, me thinks. cheers, Holger ___ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team

I've just renamed the pdf+svg files in svg into what I believe is a better order. [Debconf-team] Fundraising announcement DebConf12: first draft
[debconf-team list cc-ed as usual with debconf related announcements] Hi, I've just finished the first draft of a fundraising announcement for DebConf12, as suggested by Norman and Holger. Before sending the call for reviews and translations, I'd like to receive comments/ack/nack/$wathever from debconf people. :) The draft is available on the publicity SVN repo even via HTTP at: http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/publicity/announcements/en/2012/2012-03-02-debconf-needs-money.wml?revision=3238&view=markup Please note that all DDs have write access on publicity repository, so feel free to directly apply changes and/or fixes. The only thing left is the quote: Holger suggested that could be more appropriate a quote from debian.ch people, and Didier (on IRC) proposed this one by Luca, from meeting minutes: "19:10:52 during our meetings, it was clear that we were interested in a "different" DebConf" "19:11:16 Switzerland is known for the natural environment and this was our main goal: a DebConf "inside" the nature" Luca, is it ok for you? Thank you. BTW, about myself committing stuff I am involved in: I prefer not, to avoid any *obvious* possible bias. I completely trust my fellow Debian colleagues (and *friends*), so I would prefer to continue providing patch. And just to be sure: I will do, if asked. > Luca, is it ok for you? There is also this quote where I try to summarize Lucas presentation of our bid: 19:18:15 To summarize our bid strongly focuses on the community gathering aspect of DebConf as everything is on one compound outside of major cities. We'll have the whole thing exclusively for DebConf. Maybe it needs to be reformulated a bit to somthing like: Our proposal for DebConf strongly focuses on the community gathering aspect of DebConf. Accomodation, hacking spaces and talk rooms will be at the same place with a beatiful view over the lake of Neuchatel and to the Swiss alps. We'll have the whole holiday camp exclusively for DebConf. Moreover because the "community gathering" and "different DebConf" arguments seem to me to be those that made the very small difference we had at the end. So, putting light on these arguments in the formal annoucement seems logical. signature.asc Description: Digital signature ___ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
