So, what odds do the Vegas bookies give for the different algorithms?

Won't it be interesting to hear their public reasoning?

We can only guess what other inputs they had.

Also, there had been some discussion of whether the crazy General
was Chinese, and whether Neal had something against Chinese.
There were actually three crazy generals. One was Macarthur (:-)
One was the Japanese general, who I think was only referred to as
"The General", who was responsible for the prison camp that
buried all the gold and had the workers killer.
The other was General Wing (in the Randy Waterhouse thread),
who had been Goto Denko's coworker who escaped after they
flooded the gold storage mine.

Babylons One, Two, and Three were sabotaged and destroyed. Babylon
Four disappeared twenty-four hours after becoming operational. In
2260, it was discovered that Babylon Four was pulled back in time more
than one thousand years to aid in the First Great War. Babylon Five
was scuttled around 2282; there would never be another.

We know nothing of Babylon Ten.

Though NIST is being very secretive regarding the AES announcement,
they let the following rumors leak:

1. There is a single winner.
2. It is not an American design.

If so, this rules out MARS, RC6, and Twofish. But now comes the
third rumor:

3. The winner is not covered by any patent or patent claim
identified or disclosed to NIST by interested parties.

Assuming this is true, there is only one algorithm that is not
explicitly mentioned in Hitachi's claim: Rijndael.

This is a book put out by Bell describing various methods and techniques

algorithms in hardware. There is also some discussion of older codes and
some technique for designing codes.
