This happens when your software uses a version of Cygwin that is too old.

Please contact the provider of the software and ask them to update to the
latest version of Cygwin.

Installation history

Hi,

With "rpm -qa --last", you can get the package update history (which package
version was installed when).

Is there a similar command for Cygwin?

Thanks,

No, bout you can find the install history in /var/log/setup.log
(provided you're not cleaning that directory regularly). Also, the
timestamp on the *.lst.gz files in /etc/setup will tell you when the
respective package was installed or last updated.

Achim.
