A few years ago I bought all the Build Files for the C&C 37/40 series that
South Shore Marine could find for me. I sent a few to owners but still
have quite a few of them in a box in storage.

If there is a 'Yes" under 'Build File' in this list, then I have your file
(unless I already sent it to you):

C&C 32 was Project #79-1

So the first project of 1979.  Drawing generated by C&C Design would be

The Marine Museum  info says they have something specific with their number

Stus-List Builders File

2020-12-30 Thread CHARLES SCHEAFFER via CnC-List
Hey Rich,
I think the builders file is a "nice to have" not a "have to have" item. I
can't blame South Shore for cleaning them out after storing them for thirty
years. You're not missing anything. I find the C&C plans from Kingston Museum
much more useful and refer to those often to find answers. My two cents.

I bought my boat's builder's file. Mine has letters from the buyer's dealer to
the plant that show's her original cost and there are parts lists and many
inspection lists showing a few things that were screwed up and needed
correction. ie: the prop strut was not set properly into hull mold and that
needed to be corrected and the mold tweaked. Some interior paint was
mismatched and redone. The parts lists would be valuable except all of the
suppliers are out of business now. Much of the hardware was made in house. It
makes an interesting read, as you can relive the excitement of the original
owner waiting for his new yacht, but it doesn't answer many questions, so I
keep it filed. I treasure the plans I bought from the Kingston Museum and keep
a 24" x 36" sailplan hanging on my living room wall.

Subject: Stus-List Re: History help.

A few years ago I bought all the Build Files for the C&C 37/40 series that
South Shore Marine could find for me. I sent a few to owners but still have
quite a few of them in a box in storage.

If there is a 'Yes" under 'Build File' in this list, then I have your file
(unless I already sent it to you):

Stus-List C&C drawing 74-10-15

2020-12-30 Thread pete.shelquist--- via CnC-List
With the recent discussion on C&C drawings, I have a need specifically for
drawing #74-10-15 that is referenced on one of the drawings I currently have.
I’m hoping it will give me needed detail on the rudder post head of my 37.

Rather than contribute to the expected onslaught of requests to the museum, I’m
wondering if anyone here has this one in their collection that I can reference?

Thanks,

Pete

Stus-List R&D Engine Mounts

2020-12-30 Thread rockland bazemore via CnC-List
Hi all, I was looking for some suggestions on how to install my new R&D
engine mounts on my Yanmar 3HM35F and came across this site. Josh has had
luck with his but was wondering if anyone else has installed these and how
have their experiences been with performance/vibration.
At least a few people have had issues with them.
