We are the proud new owners of a 1983 C&C 35, Mark III (ZCC35028M83H). Closed
the deal on it and took position this afternoon. We will move it up from
Muskegon to White Lake tomorrow, back home to Crosswinds Marina in Whitehall.

We'll have about 4 weeks to familiarize ourselves with her before time to haul
and store for the winter. I still need to pick up the cradle and winter cover
before the end of the month.

If any of the C&C 35, Mark I owners are interested in a winter cover, please
let me know. I had Whitelake Canvas make me a cover last year and now I have
no Mark I to cover. This cover goes to the toe rail and is fitted to go around
the stanchions and shrouds. I have a picture or two of it if interested. Make
me an offer.

Neil, Congrats on a great boat! I would be interested in your views of how
this boat meets your needs as compared to your former boat; sailing
characteristics, handling, cruising capabilities, overall use and
enjoyments...? I know that it will take some time to learn and determine all
of these things, but you are in a unique position to see how C&C progressed
from an earlier model to a later model... thanks

Stus-List 30-2 height

2017-09-02 Thread Chad Osmond via CnC-List
Anyone know the height of a 30-2 on a cradle, or keel to highest point with
the mast removed?

We are considering storing indoors this year and need to see if it will fit
through the doors.

2017-09-02 Thread robert via CnC-List

Chad:

The height of a boat from the bottom of the keel to the top coach roof
and pulpits (bow and stern) will remain constant, however, the height of
any cradle will be the variable. And if you are talking 'inches'
through the doors, that can be the determining factor.

Put your boat on the cradle and measure from the top of the bow pulpit
to the ground.if that measurement fits the door(s), you are probably in.

Sorry I can't be more precise.

Full keel, I know that the cradle is 6" from the bottom to the board the
keel sits on so I will try and measure in water.

I will just measure to the water line, add 5'8" and a few spare inches I
guess.

a great job. Just don;t ask for a delivery any time near the Toronto boat
show because all their truck are booked for a month or so for that event.

Gert Tiel did my survey. Not sure he is anywhere near your target boat.
His survey was not at all detailed. But I was so in love at the time that
I just didn't care. And I figured that after building a few thousand C&C,
Gert coul d pretty much spot anything serious. This site might come in
handy if you're looking for on in Ontario.
