Re: Stus-List Pulpit wanted for 35mk III - Now White Water Marine
Thanks for this lead. Tops in Quality is no longer in business but White Water Marine took over their website and it appears their blue-prints. They have quoted me $1357 plus shipping for the pulpit. They have recommended that I get replacement stanchion bases (available from South Shore). I have no clue if this is a reasonable price - nor if their quality is the same as Tops. If anyone has any experience, good or not so good, I'd like to hear. They are still in business, and I bet they still have the figures/specs. Even if they don't have the original specs figures, they have a pretty good measurement form to make a custom one. I had them make a rear pulpit for an older boat I had (it never had one before), and it came out perfectly and fit correctly. They shipped it by truck. -Keith Morgenstern ___ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album http://www.cncphotoalbum.com CnC-List@cnc-list.com
Re: Stus-List Cleaning out the garage
Joel, If they are still functional, Bacon can cut them down for you to fit your roller furler. They can assess the sails for you and tell you what kind of shape they are in. Don't forget to tell them to readjust the spreader patches though. I learned this the hard way blowing up a nice light weight #1 they recut for me. Bacon would also take them on consignment if nobody on the list wants them. Dibs. Joel - do you know the dimensions? If close, I could use a 150. Shipping will likely be $300+. I'd check with a local rigger or fabricator. Joel On Tue, Jul 31, 2012 at 3:36 PM, Indigo wrote: > Thanks for this lead. Pat, Thanks for the suggestion. Bacon didn't want it. Its not worth spending much money on. Hope the weather is better tomorrow. Raining like crazy here! Re: Stus-List Pulpit wanted for 35mk III - Now White Water Marine
Years ago, I had a local steel fabricator make me a stern pulpit for my old C&C 25. It wasn’t a big deal for them. Also, it was many hundreds of dollars cheaper than ordering from a marine shop. If you still have the old pulpit, it should be a cinch.
