You're rightThese files are created 15+ mins after the daemon is
started
I'm using debian stable and the latest releases in the packages tree is:
mordor:~# dpkg -l |grep clam
ii clamav-base
0.90.1dfsg-3etch9base package for clamav, an
anti-virus utili
ii clamav-daemon
0.90.1dfsg-3etch9antivirus scanner daemon
rc clamav-data
20070406.061500.3027 clamav data files
ii clamav-freshclam
0.90.1dfsg-3etch9downloads clamav virus databases
from the In
ii libclamav1
0.88.7-2 virus scanner library
ii libclamav2
0.90.1dfsg-3etch9virus scanner library

So if I'm right I have three options:
1) install clam from source,
2) use testing or unstable branch,
3) wait for the update package.

Anyway thank you all for your help!

Attila

4) add volatile to your sources.list and get recent clamav (although not
0.93 yet for some reason) that is targetted at stable.
