In addition to what Jim said, there's not really any error message chirp will tell you that is even close to "don't have the right drivers." Please show a screenshot and/or provide more detail so we can try to help you. --Dan ___ chirp_users mailing list chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users This message was sent to arch...@mail-archive.com at arch...@mail-archive.com To unsubscribe, send an email to chirp_users-unsubscr...@intrepid.danplanet.com To report this email as off-topic, please email chirp_users-ow...@intrepid.danplanet.com Searchable archive: https://www.mail-archive.com/chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com

[chirp_users] Problem with Baofeng settings
I have had three other Baofeng UV-5R radio and had no problems programming with Chirp. I’m using the latest Mac Chirp version. But, I just received a new UV5R, and, after downloading from the radio, creating a frequency list, and then uploading, I’m not able to get to the settings page. I get a blank page and an error message. (See attached.) I tried a menu “reset all” and a three-button “factory reset” to no avail. Any ideas? Re: [chirp_users] Problem with Baofeng settings
I recently had trouble programming a Baofeng UV 8 HP No matter what I did, it would not take any frequencies, using the latest Chirp, from about a month ago. I finally booted to my windows 7 that I have in a VM, with an old chirp on it, and it programmed just fine. Your radio has one (or more) settings that are out of range. Lately it has been missing band limits and/or settings in the Aux memory area. The debug.log file should provide a clue.
