The only other possibility is factory software from Baofeng. Check with where you bought it to see if they can help. [chirp_users] BAOFENG BF898PLUS CANT NOT FIND PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE?????????????????????????

My personal policy is to not purchase a radio that requires computer programming to be able to use it unless I first have the OEM programming software in my possession first. So if there was a reason for me to get this radio and I could not find a link to the OEM software using Google, then I would contact the manufacturer and request the programming software. http://baofeng-radios.com/ Jim KC9HI ___ chirp_users mailing list chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users This message was sent to arch...@mail-archive.com at arch...@mail-archive.com To unsubscribe, send an email to chirp_users-unsubscr...@intrepid.danplanet.com
Re: [chirp_users] BAOFENG BF898PLUS CANT NOT FIND PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE?????????????????????????
On top of what Jim stated: you just need to try it out. Baofeng has an overwhelming amount of radios which all are more or less the same; there are only half a dozen differences - unfortunately we don't know about each individual model they have, unless someone tests it for us. So, when you look at the list of supported radios (https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Supported_Radios), you will see next to most of the Baofengs something like "Use Baofeng BF-F8HP", "Use Baofeng UV-5R", etc. Now, if you find one selection in Chirp which works for you, please let us know, and we'll add it to the list. Thanks!
