2008-12-19 Thread Mariusz
I'm thinking of changing raid 1 to raid 5 (phisical --> in bios, now i've got 2
disks in raid1, i want to add 3rd disk). Will centos work correctly?

no, i haven't asked yet, but i'm going to do it. Maybe i should use dd command
(create image all logical disk to another disk) and add new 3rd disk, create
raid 5 volume and after restore system from dd image?

I've searched the archives and found a post last march about a rpm version of
php for centos.

  Any news about it?
  Is it still in testing?
  Any known issues?
  Where do I get it?

  Thanks.

[CentOS] 2 internet connections and one for backup

2008-12-25 Thread Mariusz
I've got 2 internet connections but unfortunately not the same - 6mbit and 1
mbit. My default is 6mbit and I want to create backup connection (1mbit). How
can do it? Has anybody done it? My perfect scenario is that my network uses
1mbit if (only) 6mbit fails and it switches automatically.
