I'm using the following on CentOS 7.4:

uname -r :

3.10.0-693.5.2.el7.x86_64

Model: Quadro 2000
IRQ: 31
GPU UUID:GPU-6ecc2b2b-34ce-6e47-1e08-55389dc64680
Video BIOS: 70.06.31.02.01
Bus Type:PCIe
DMA Size:40 bits
DMA Mask:0xff
Bus Location::0f:00.0
Device Minor:0

NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 384.90 Tue Sep 19
19:17:35 PDT 2017
GCC version: gcc version 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-16) (GCC)

I manually built the driver - from the nvidia-installer.log :

nvidia-installer command line:
 ./nvidia-installer
 --accept-license
 --no-questions
 --silent
 --install-libglvnd

The nouveau driver is blacklisted via the boot cmdline option:

rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau

Works fine for me ...

[CentOS] XFS quota usage mismatch on CentOS 6 ?

2017-11-10 Thread James Pearson
We have a number of home directory servers running CentOS 6 exporting XFS file
systems over NFSv3

We enable user quotas for all users - with a relatively small allocation to
each user

Every now and then, we get a user that has a quota mismatch - where they are
(usually) over their quota, but their actual usage (via du) is significantly
less

This happens on any of the servers

I suspect that the mismatch is probably due to file space being allocated on
the server, but somehow not referenced by a file - may be by deleted files?,
but lsof on the client doesn't show any suitable deleted files

The 'problem' usually resolves itself in a day or so - although I have no idea
how or why etc ...

Has anyone seen an issue like this - or know of any XFS tools that could be run
on the server to find and fix the missing quota allocation?

Thanks

H. I have exactly the same setup, and KDE looks like LEGO for
toddlers (something like 640x480). I checked that 'nouveau' is
blacklisted, built the NVidia 384.90 driver manually, rebooted, and no joy.

I started a KDE neon LiveCD (with very good automatic hardware
configuration) on that same workstation, and everything seems OK,
resolution looks like 1280x1024 on the 19" monitor.

I'm puzzled.

2017-11-10 Thread Nux!
Nicolas,

Did you play with nvidia-settings? Maybe also wipe out xorg.conf and start
afresh.

[CentOS] Logitech Brio 4K Ultra HD Webcam - 960-001105

2017-11-10 Thread Gregory P. Ennis
Everyone,

I was hoping to be able to plug the Logitech Brio in and have it work,
but it did not. I can have it connect to a Windows 10 laptop and have
it function, so I know the camera works.

The Centos 7.4 is recognizing it when I plug in the usb 3.0 cable. The
results of dmesg demonstrated :

[ 4519.922257] input: Logitech BRIO as
/devices/pci:00/:00:04.0/:03:00.0/usb9/9-4/9-
4:1.4/input/input25

v1.11 Device [Logitech BRIO] on usb-:03:00.0-4/input4

[ 4519.956452] usb 9-4: current rate 16000 is different from the
runtime rate 48000

[ 4519.963948] usb 9-4: current rate 16000 is different from the
runtime rate 48000

[ 4519.973798] usb 9-4: current rate 16000 is different from the
runtime rate 48000

[ 4825.386775] usb 9-4: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 7 using
xhci_hcd

[ 5079.321074] usb 9-4: USB disconnect, device number 7

I am not seeing any new device driver in /dev/

Testing the programs 'cheese', 'vlc', and 'ucview' did not identify the
camera.

I have used Logitech C922 webcams with Centos 7.4 which work just by
plugging them in.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to make this 4K camera work on
7.4?

Thanks for your help!!!
