Ok, problem solved. Finally, redirection needs to go to a tomcat server that
use this commercial solution. Changing:

ProxyPass / http://192.168.1.5:5100/
ProxyPassReverse / http://192.168.1.5:5100/

to

ProxyPass / ajp://192.168.1.5:5100/
ProxyPassReverse / ajp://192.168.1.5:5100/

 ... problem solved.

Many thanks to all for your help.

[CentOS] no kernel-debuginfo or source RPM for kernel 3.18.21-17

2016-03-03 Thread Thanos Makatos
I'm trying to debug what I believe to be a kernel bug
(https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2016-March/014463.html)
and I'm trying to set up systemtap for that.

I'm trying to set up systemtap on kernel 3.18.21-17.el6.x86_64 (Xen
4.4.3-10.el6) and it requires the kernel-debuginfo package, however I
cannot find anywhere package
kernel-debuginfo-3.18.21-17.el6.x86_64.rpm. In addition, I cannot find
anywhere the kernel source RPM in order to build the debuginfo RPM.

Should these packages be available in the first place? Am I missing something?

Surely the data could be tailored to provide only that which applies to
the current set of RPMs. Do we know that yum will fail if RPMs are
cited in the file but which are not available for install?

>the data required for the xml file is not redistributable.

That does sound like it is being ignored, because you know you can't do
it.

As things stand.

(I think you should put all this in an/the FAQ then point people to it,
instead of sending large swaths of the same words yet again, which must
surely be frustrating.)

But the project could lobby Red Hat for access to the file, whether for
just CentOS (RH has done things just for CentOS before) or for the wider
community of rebuilders. I can't know if this has been attempted, but
it has not been mentioned as having been asked.

Can I help lobby for such access? I bet that would only be possible
after CentOS has started such a petition, since non-RHEL users cannot
submit feature requests. But the CentOS project isn't quite in the same
boat as its users, so you might be able to open such a ticket and if it
were public others could jump in with their support. Or would a SIG be
the right avenue?

Would Red Hat pay any attention to 3rd party lobbying sites? At least I
think I remember such existing, though I cannot at the moment recall any
names.

[CentOS] 6.7 netinstall fails at insert cd to continue

2016-03-03 Thread g

system: hp compact dc7800 dual 64 bit
cd/dvd: oem sata-- recognized as
   atapi dvd c dh48c2s sata5
cd/dvd: lg gp60ns50 usb dvd -- recognized as
   hl-dt-st dvdram gp60ns50

attempting install using centos 6.7 x86_64 netinstall.

after 'installation method' with 'local cd/dvd' selected, famous
'disc not found' shows.

attempt eject cd with eject button fails. ejecting disc drawer with
paper clip and closing drawer, selecting 'ok' fails again with
'disc not found'.

iirc, there is a way to correct, but do not recall procedure.

advice greatly appreciated.
