[CentOS] amavis-new and mysql
Trying to figure this out, as it worked on my old server, but lots is different on my new server I forgot the mysql connection for amavis-new in my new mailserver, as none of the tutorials I was pouring through mentioned this, even though they claim they supported virtual domains... Maybe amavis-new has gotten smart enough to recognize a domain as not the one describe and suspect relaying. Anyway... in /etc/amavis/amavis.conf I added: @lookup_sql_dsn = ( ['DBI:mysql:database=postfix;host=127.0.0.1;port=3306', 'postfix', 'password'] ); but am getting in maillog: Nov 20 09:15:10 z9m9z postfix/error[3237]: AC81A62159: to=, relay=none, delay=1, delays=0.99/0/0/0.05, dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: lost connection with 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] while sending DATA command) Is there something off with that connection? Something is listening on port 3306: # netstat -an|grep 3306 tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:3306 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN Perhaps because I forgot: $sql_select_policy = 'SELECT domain from domain WHERE CONCAT("@",domain) IN (%k)'; Which I picked up from an ubuntu help site google 'found' for me. The Centos amavis-new howto does not cover supporting a mysql table of virtual domains. ___ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos

I agree with you that it seems strange ... CentOS just rebuilds the upstream source code. They did it, we duplicated it. In fact, the MySQL in EL5 is an SCL. It is the only SCL released for EL5 and it is different than the EL6 ones (path wise, etc). BTW, I am sure they had their reasons, they would not have done it that way without good reasons as it is a fairly substantial change. I don't know what those reasons are however. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature ___ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos

I am having problems with the dovecot list. Haven't seen any messages from them for a few days, and a message I sent them today is not showing in their archives, so I come here to see if anyone here might know New mailserver and the first time I am using dovecot. Previously I used courier-mail. My config is moving all tagged spam into the IMAP spam folder. Very nice for the IMAP users, but not for the POP users. Of course the server don't know, and the mysql database for users does not have any flags for this. Don't want my server to fill up with spam from POP users that don't know to check via IMAP. [CentOS] [OT] Lexmark T632 info sought
We have a bunch of old Lexmark T63x printers connected to our LAN. These are accessed via IPP from our CentOS hosts and via TCP for our MicroSoft work stations. Both connections have worked without problems for years. This past week one of the T632s was replaced and since that time we cannot get either IPP or TCP to work with it from our CentOS hosts. It continues to work for the Windows domain workstations. I have verified the settings, both printer and network, and everything seems to match the settings of the original printer. Nonetheless when the printer is enabled we get an IPP failure as soon as we send any job to it. The only thing that I can detect that is different is the printer firmware. All of the machines that work have this: Printer Revision Levels: Loader 551.019-0 Base551.019-0 Network 551.087-0 Engine E551.413 -0 Panel 7.02 Font8.10H02-U4.0 Tray 2 10.18-5 Duplex 23.11-7 The one that fails has this: Printer Revision Levels: Loader 551.019-0 Basic KernelE_YD.014-0 Kernel E_YD.014-0 Base551.019-0 Network 551.019-0 Engine E551.421-0 Panel 7.02 Font8.10H02-U4.0 Tray 2 10.18-5 I have no idea what a Basic Kernel on a Lexmark T632 is. Does anyone know and if so can you say whether or not this is the source of our difficulty? -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B. [CentOS] Solved - Re: dovecot question
By first contacting the dovecot list manager and asking him if there was a list problem. There was. On 11/20/2014 02:29 PM, Robert Moskowitz wrote: I am having problems with the dovecot list. Thunderbird makes it hard to switch from POP to IMAP. So is anyone here using dovecot? Have they noticed this?
