Re: Can FS mounting be broken at ci-builds.a.o?

2020-08-23 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Yeah it seems to pass all checks but then fails on some post processing
task of the build.

It even publishes the artifacts correctly after the build:
https://ci-builds.apache.org/job/OpenMeetings/job/openmeetings/17/

Looking at the build time and each of the module builds there is something
odd though.

If you add up the modules builds you never end up with a total time of 1h
45min.
It used to just take ~ 45min previously (see:
https://ci-builds.apache.org/job/OpenMeetings/job/openmeetings/11/)

Thanks

For example at our project at:

But I can see the same issue also with other projects:

Is there an issue at builds.apache.org? We did verify that those builds run
fine locally or on other machines.

Without further changes I have now received a "BUILD SUCCESS".

Kind of strange still but at least our builds seem to be working again.

ubuntu1 is out of order

2012-07-08 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
I think somebody could exclude ubuntu1 from building projects, seems like
there is something wrong with it:
https://builds.apache.org/computer/ubuntu1/builds

I think its not possible to configure a job not to use that machine so some
builds just constantly fail.

Our project will not build with JDK7 / is not tested with JDK7.

There is some kind of exclude/include list in the Job config where a
project will build. What do we need to enter in that config so that it
will not use ubuntu_ARM_15 ?

Thanks!

Thanks Olivier!

the build is now running on hadoop9, but it gives the same error:

[atutor] $ /home/jenkins/jenkins-slave/tools/Ant/ant-1.8.3/bin/ant dist-bin
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
  We cannot execute /home/hudson/tools/java/latest1.6/bin/java

Build step 'Invoke Ant' marked build as failure
Archiving artifacts

Finished: FAILURE

=> Is hadoop9 also JDK7 only?

ActiveMQ build takes 3 to 6 hours on Jenkins

2013-03-29 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Is it possible that there is something wrong with the ActiveMQ builds?
It just seems to me strange that the builds take 3 to 6 hours. Somehow they
are configured to run daily now. I think they are bound to run only on
ubuntu. Consequently ubuntu nodes on Jenkins are permanently blocked.

Those are the projects:
https://builds.apache.org/job/ActiveMQ/1256/
https://builds.apache.org/job/ActiveMQ-Java7/169/

Maybe its time for extending the build infrastructure @ ASF with some new
nodes? :)

Thanks,
Sebastian

Re: ActiveMQ build takes 3 to 6 hours on Jenkins

2013-03-29 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
I had the same impression, build servers seem to be a grey area. I guess so
far they run pretty "self managed".
However the number of projects grow constantly and continuous builds are a
central part in every project.

Those concrete builds seem to run 3 and 6 hours really, not because they
are queud, its the job itself. Errors in Jenkins so far had the effect that
the build just immediately stopped as failed.
But its not clear if that is an accident or a desired behaviour for those
concrete builds. The only ones that can really answer that are the devs @
activemq.

Selenium Builds on which build nodes ? Windows only ?

2013-09-17 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Hi,

the OpenMeetings project would like to run some UI Selenium tests as part
of daily job run.

I have heard that on the windows node's that should be possible.

I guess FirefoxDriver should be ok? Or is there a preference for any other
Driver ?

Thanks,
Sebastian
