Re: Please update your jenkins job configs ASAP

2016-11-14 Thread Ted Yu
We used to have JDK 1.8 build named like this:

https://builds.apache.org/job/HBase-Trunk_matrix/jdk=JDK%201.8%20(latest),label=yahoo-not-h2/

However, in the latest build:

https://builds.apache.org/job/HBase-TRUNK_matrix/1947/console

I don't see any JDK 1.8 build - it seemed that no actual build was
performed.

Looking at a reportedly successful build:
https://builds.apache.org/job/HBase-1.4/533/console

I don't see the JDK 1.7 / 1.8 builds.

The build only took 2 min 44 sec ?

Can you drop and recreate the build for 0.92 ?
I think some config must be wrong.

Any idea why QA bot is not testing this patch?
Can someone trigger this explicitly?

[jira] [Created] (BUILDS-26) Install openssl-devel package on Jenkins machines

Ted Yu created BUILDS-26:

Summary: Install openssl-devel package on Jenkins machines
 Key: BUILDS-26
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BUILDS-26
 Project: Infra Build Platform
  Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Ted Yu

In the email thread 'Build failed in Jenkins: Hadoop-Common-trunk due to
missing header file', Colin wrote:

opensslconf.h is part of the openssl-devel package (at least on my
machine) and if it is missing, I would suspect that openssl is either
not installed or incorrectly installed.

We need it for the native build to have coverage for the
openssl-related things (like random number generation and encryption).
{noformat}
Please install openssl-devel package on Jenkins machines
