Thank you Sergey! Thank you for all your work on mailutils. It has been 
a great tool set.


I have sent a suggestion to apply the patch in this Debian bug report, I 
hope it can be applied to older versions of mailutils.

From the looks of it it might take a few more years before mailutils 
3.12 becomes available in Debian stable... which is a bummer. Thankfully 
I did manage a way to sent out text/plain with an pdf/attachment with 
mutt until I can switch back to a mailutils.

That's a pity, indeed.  In the meantime you can try building it from
source.
