[bdlug] BanglaSMS is Opensource now !

2009-02-27 Thread mizan01200

Ever wished to express yourself just as you wanted to while sending
sms? Ever missed writing in sweet Bangla to your friends from your
mobile phone? Never felt like learning new key layout to write Bangla?
I bet, you will love BanglaSMS then :)

The software is self-contained. Just install it into your mobile phone
and tell your friends to install it and there you go! All the GSM
network like Grameen Phone, Banglalink, Teletalk or Aktel users can
use BanglaSMS to send sms in Bangla.

Oh, by the way, you know what? It's open source (and of course
completely free). So who knows, may be you or your friend will write
codes to make it even better.

For details: go to http://banglasms.org.bd

[bdlug] qT (KDE) support for Simple Addon CD

2009-02-27 Thread Shahriar Tariq
Hi currently the Simple Addon CD that Salahuddin developed is for gtk
(gnome) environment (only for Ubuntu).

Can anyone tell me of any workaround methods to use the Simple Addon
CD in Kubuntu? (not installing gtk-library since the sceneario is the
pc does not have internet connection, and gtk-library is not included
in the cd)

I think Simple Addon is far better than the copying /var/cache/apt/ or
taking backup of installed softwares. since it's click and go
solution, no copying and stuff, which scares the new users...

It would be also nice if anyone kindly brings qt (KDE) support for
this great project?? it would be really helpful.

thanks in Advance

Re: [bdlug] qT (KDE) support for Simple Addon CD

2009-02-27 Thread Salahuddin Pasha
you can install from command line

$sudo ./scripts/development.sh
$sudo ./scripts/internet.sh
$sudo ./scripts/multimedia.sh

if you find any error message give
$chmod 777 scripts/*.sh

I am working with a QT version hopefully it would take a little time..
