Re: [bdlug] [Off-Topic] yahoo account problem
Not a solution for the "can't paste" problem (are you using xfree or x.org? gnome or kde? just saying 'slackware' is not enough), but you should check out YPOPs (http://www.ypopsemail.com) which lets you use normal email clients like thunderbird to send/receive Yahoo mail. -Sajed Emon wrote: > > Hi all > > I am a newbie and I am having problems replying to mails from my > yahoo account. > > I am on a dialup connection & to save bandwidth I always prepare > replies to my mails off-line in a text file and then log into > yahoo; press "reply" and then just paste the text. > > Sadly I just found out 2/3 days ago that I can type replies but > simply cannot paste any text in box where I am supposed to type > my reply. > > I tried by installing mozilla-firefox-1.0.6-i686-2; but to no > effect > > Here are a few info on my system, let me know if you need any > more > > OS: Slackware; Browser: Mozilla 1.7.11; Other pkg: > jre-1_5_0_04-i586-2 > > My apologies if I am wasting somebody's time > > Thanks > Emon Yahoo! Re: [bdlug] prob after kernel recompiling!!
Hi ! 2.6 uses new module loading tools than kernel 2.4 You need to install the module-init-tools package. That is what I had to do when upgrading to 2.6 on Debian. cheers, Matthew Grant On Fri, 2005-11-18 at 11:07 +, tanvir anowar wrote: > I'm a novice Linux user.i run on RedHat 9 with kernel 2.4... but today > i tried to recompile my kernel with 2.6.. but the fact is im able to > recompile it but cant load any module. http://www.freepops.org is another solution like YPops. But doesn't support SMTP.
