[arch-general] QtCreator help font problem
I noticed in the help section of qtcreator ( version 2.5 installed from repo), the font size is small for me , as usual I tried key combination like(ctrl + +,ctrl+mouse wheel), but doesn't work properly, only the titles get zoomed in. And I changed setting in the options->help->font , also only titles zoomed in. The first page of help section of qtcreator can be zoomed in/out properly. But in many other pages (like QStyle page) only the title can be zoomed in/out. The qtcreator (2.4.1) installed from the official website qtsdk*.run installer doesn't have this problem. Anyone experiencing the same? Should I open a bug report?
Re: [arch-general] weird kde crashes
After upgrading yesterday(including udev system-tools and x), I experienced quite a lot Knotify crashes today. Though I'm using gnome-shell and only use some KDE apps. [arch-general] [linux-lts] unable to auto mount some usb device
After recent update of linux-lts to 3.0.33, it fails to auto mount my android device as usb storage(moto atrix2). My other usb devices are auto mounted successfully, just this one fail to auto mount every time. It can be manually mount successfully. And I tried linux kernel(3.3.8), auto mounted successfully. Only in current linux-lts the device fail to automatically mount every time. Any one experiencing the same? Which log should I analyse to solve it?
[arch-general] How to configure Qt 5 theme?
I want to configure qt5 apps (like qt creator) theme to use the same as qt4 apps (oxygen) in KDE. How can I do this? And is there an appmenu-qt5 port?

It goes away when I scroll the page. It happens regularly, every couple of minutes or more. This is on a Dell Latitude E5520 (Sandybridge i5) with KDE. I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this? [arch-general] Why is qtcreator updated to 3.0.1.git then 3.1.0beta1?
I noticed recently that qtcreator is updated to such non-stable versions, and there is no critical bug related that require such updates on the bug tracker. What is the reason this package is updated to such versions so early? I remember there used to be similar early updates with earlier versions of this package. Is it just the maintainer gets too excited?

Re: [arch-general] Android support in Linux Arch

The problem I face with the Android situation in Arch is that currently there seems to be no "clean" (TM) way to install the SDK and related stuff. The android-sdk package from AUR is fine and dandy, but one usually also needs to install a whole bunch of API specific packages through the "android" tool from the SDK. - This doesn't work for normal users, e.g. you can update the packages using Eclipse, but you need to start "/opt/android-sdk/tools/android" as root - Installing any sort of package through the "installer" mentioned above isn't compatible with the whole idea of package management, because the package manager isn't aware of these files. I ran into conflicts before, which I had to resolve by temporarily removing some components. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here, but at least this is what I've experienced throughout the last couple of months. Unfortunately I don't see a good way how this can be improved, as I like the idea of installing only API components that I really need and get instant (!) updates for them directly from the upstream project. Anyone familiar with the situation on other distributions? How do they handle all of this? Best regards, Karol Babioch You can just chown /opt/android-sdk and it will be easier to install api. Judging by the vote of android packages on AUR, most people seem to use the main android-sdk... packages and download apis from it, this shouldn' t be causing any conflict, I think. A cleaner way would be you just download the android-sdk from google and manage it yourself, anyway, itself is a package manager. I' m quite satisfied with the current status and don' t find support for android in [community] necessary, while if android licence allows this, moving some main android development packages to [community] doesn' t hurt, especially some huge package like android-ndk. I don' t know why you only consider non-binary packages.
