Total Cost of a each Campaign and Adgroup

2023-06-14 Thread Suvigya Agrawal
1. How can I get the "Total Cost" data of a campaign and adgroup (tell for
each case).
Some are suggesting to use "metrics.cost_micros", but if this is the case
then what is the currency of the value returned by this.

2. How can I get the segment name of my campaign.
For example- the segment name of some campaigns are - "Capital Markets",
"Mutual Funds", "Corporate Issuer" etc.

3. How can I pull the "Platform" field form my campaign.
Although each campaign on google ads has the "Google" platform only, but is
there any query to pull this specific information.

Please provide query for each case.
A quick reply will be really helpful.

Thanks.

RE: generateforecastmetricsresponse doesn't include keyword forecasts

2023-06-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Google Ads API Support.

With regards to your concern, based on our Blog post KeywordPlanAdGroupForecast
and KeywordPlanKeywordForecast will be deprecated in the Google Ads API. This
change will be effective on June 1, 2023.

Starting June 1, the GenerateForecastMetricsRequest will still be used to fetch
forecasts, but the KeywordPlanAdGroupForecast and KeywordPlanKeywordForecast
will be empty. The KeywordPlanCampaignForecast will be returned as usual. If
you are using KeywordPlanAdGroupForecast or KeywordPlanKeywordForecast in your
applications, update your applications to ensure that they can handle blank
responses.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API Forum.

In order for us to investigate further, can you provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated on
your end? This is so we can check on our end as well and investigate further.

For the client libraries, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client
libraries > Your client library (ex Java) > Logging documentation, which you
can access from this link
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs). You can
provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not

Access and edit the listing group of an asset group of a campaign

2023-06-14 Thread Κωστας Μαυρογαλος
Hey yall,
Bit of a complicated question, I must admit. But, I'm looking for a way to
view and edit the listing groups of an asset group of a particular campaign.

To explain what I mean as best as I can, through the UI.
Inside an account, you have several campaigns. By opening a *Performance*
campaign and navigating to the *Asset Groups*, you view all the assets you
have made.

By clicking *"Listing Group"* on one of the Assets, you view an array of
items, which you can activate or deactivate at any time.

My question is: How can I perform the same actions from the API(the
activation and deactivation of *Listing Groups* is what I'm more interested
in, but I welcome any help with any of those parts)?

Thank you in advance

RE: create conversionaction throws exception creation_not_supported

2023-06-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to Google Ads API Support.

With regards to your concern, it seems that you encounter the
CREATION_NOT_SUPPORTED error. This error means that the creation of this
conversion action type, which is of type
“ConversionActionType.GoogleAnalytics4Custom”, isn't supported by Google Ads
API.

As mentioned in our documentation, the Additional Conversion Action Types are
additional types of conversion actions available in reports, but may limit or
prohibit creation or modification of those actions. GOOGLE_ANALYTICS_4_CUSTOM
is an additional type of conversion action type. This is why you’re seeing an
error message saying Creation of this conversion action type isn't supported by
Google Ads API when you tried to create via Google Ads API.

I hope this clarifies. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Cannot get the basic API access approval

2023-06-14 Thread Vlad
Hello,

I have been waiting for the basic API access approval for more than two
weeks. I have applied for the basic API access twice.

According to the recommended answer here
(https://support.google.com/google-ads/thread/212986157?hl=en) I also
submitted this form twice:

*> Use this form to request the API access:-

https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/contact_ads_api

*

But I have never received a response. We tried to connect by phone, but it
was said that "there is no phone support for this account at this time" and
got disconnected.

I'm wondering if there are any other ways to get the response from the
Google Ads API team, and how I can increase the approval process.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Vlad

Re: upload conversions and enhanced conversions with gclid via the api

Okay, then I am little bit confused.

We have an ecommerce store. We want to upload conversions with the gclid,
but we also want to use the enhanced conversions. How should we do that
then if we *only* want to use the Google Ads API and not install the client
side google ads tag.

Adding Targeting to Ad Group Criterion returns Unknown Error

2023-06-14 Thread Kathryn Rieb
Hello,
I am using V13 of the Google Ads Api and I recently started encountering a
new error, when I try and add a Targeting criteria (Gender, Age range, or
User Interest) to an Ad Group. The error comes from adding an ad group
criterion like so:
{ "entity": "ad_group_criterion", "operation": "create", "resource": {
"ad_group": "...", "gender": { "type": "FEMALE" }, "negative": true },
"$context": [...] }

The error appears as follows:
{ "error_code": { "request_error": "UNKNOWN" }, "message": "The error code
is not in this version.", "location": { "field_path_elements": [ {
"field_name": "mutate_operations", "index": 4 }, { "field_name":
"ad_group_criterion_operation" }, { "field_name": "create" }, {
"field_name": "gender" } ] }

I am trying to pinpoint the actual error, if you have any advice that it
much appreciated. Thanks!

Moving disabled accounts from one MCC to another

2023-06-14 Thread Growthmodo
Hi

We are an ad-tech startup, whenever a client sign's up they are added to
our MCC. If their account is disabled we transfer that account to another
MCC. After Feb 2023, our API stopped working and this is the error we are
getting

*Request made: ClientCustomerId: 4226892221, Host: googleads.googleapis.com
, Method:
/google.ads.googleads.v12.services.CustomerClientLinkService/MutateCustomerClientLink,

Please help!

Is there a function to automatically restart when it is a "UNAVAILABLE" error?

2023-06-14 Thread 'JIHoon Ock' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Thank you for looking at my question.

Sometimes errors occur in the process of inquiring campaign information.

Error "NoRouteToHostException" and code "UNAVAILABLE" are returned.

However, I looked up the log and it seems to automatically retry in the
"UNAVAILABLE" code error situation.

sub-account

2023-06-14 Thread diad
Hi, I have a few questions.

1. By using the CustomerService.CreateCustomerClient in the Google Ads API
to create a sub-account under a specific manager account, does the
relationship between the two accounts resemble the structure of linking the
manager account with an existing client account using
AccountLinkService.CreateAccountLink?

2-1. If the relationship (structure) is the same, can the connection
between the manager account and the created sub-account be severed using
AccountLinkService.MutateAccountLink?

2-2. And is the separated sub-account independently usable, along with
other client accounts?

3-1. If the relationship is not the same, are there any other ways to
disconnect the connection between the manager account and the sub-account
created using CustomerService.CreateCustomerClient? Is the sub-account
solely dependent on the manager account, without being separable and
existing only in a dependent relationship with the manager account?
