How to Check cost of ad campaign

2022-09-12 Thread Khushboo Agarwal
Hi There,
I'm using google ads api to fetch data of my campaigns and store it on my
database. I'd fetched multiple tables but none of those have 'Cost' column.
It do have average_cost but the numbers doesn't make sense. for example
Average_cost = 101857142.85714284
Cost_micros = 71300

Thanks in advance for the help

RE: Refresh token expiration.

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Gleb,

Thank you for posting your concern.

If you want to have a refresh token with longer life, then you need to follow
this link.

As for this question "is it possible that I missed something and google can
actually issue endless refresh tokens for both my accounts?", you may check on
your end if its publishing status is in "In production" already. If yes, this
means that you have already applied this instruction to that account that makes
the life of the refresh token longer.

Re: Google Ads API - Get Google Adgorup Audiences

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi John,

Thank you for getting back to us. I work with Heidi and allow me to assist you
here. I hope you are doing well today.

Please my response to your questions below.

1.) How can I get Google Account/Campaign/AdGroup change history using Google
Ads API ?

If you want the complete field-by-field results with a detailed view similar to
the Change History UI, you may use the Change Event service. However, note that
the change event service in Google Ads API retrieves for the last 30 days and
the list of changes must be filtered by date (the date range must be within the
past 30 days). You may see here the change event limitations for details.

2.) How can I get Google Account/Campaign/AdGroup Creation date using Google
Ads API ?

Regarding this, you may use the Change Status which provides a means to keep
track of which resources have changed within an account by using the query and
filter on date within the past 90 days (and optionally time). Not all rows from
the change status will have corresponding details in the change event. Also,
you may refer to this change_status report and
change_status.last_change_date_time.

DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED for token that was previously working

2022-09-12 Thread 'Mars Data' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

We use the Google Ads API to upload audiences to Google Ad Manager accounts
for different campaigns that we run. A while back we suddenly started
getting this error "DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED" despite the Developer
Token being used hundreds of times previously.

I can run the CustomerService.list_accessible_customer() command with the
Developer token without error, but every other command/service available
fails not because of the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED. *If I provide the
Developer Token and Request ID is it possible to determine the status of
the Developer token?*

I've tried to go the route of setting up a new Developer Token but I've now
found that the Google Project can only be associated with one Developer
Token, so I would have to create a whole new Google Project. Because a lot
of this was initially set up by another agency we don't have a lot of the
information on how this was set up, so I don't actually know (or have
access to) what is presumably the top level Ad Manager Account so I don't
know if creating a new Developer Token is even the correct approach here as
we have lots of different Ad Manager Accounts that we need to link to. Now
that I know I can only have one Developer Token is this approach even going
to work, *can I 'deploy' that Developer Token to other Ad Manager Accounts
that I have access to but aren't linked to each other?*

*Or finally, is there a way of swapping the Developer Token that's
associated with the Google Cloud Project, or is there a way of actually
confirming what Developer Token is associated with the Google Cloud
Project?*

Thanks,

Also would like to add that I tried to use Ad Group Ad report.

*SELECT ad_group_ad.ad.name , ad_group.name

metrics.impressions, *
*  ad_group_ad.ad.call_ad.country_code, *

*  metrics.clicks, *
 * segments.date, *

*  customer.currency_code,   metrics.conversions_value,
metrics.conversions, campaign.advertising_channel_type FROM ad_group_ad *

However, it didnt return the country code attributes (not sure why).

Re: How to Check cost of ad campaign

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Khushboo,

Thank you for the reply.

Since you said that you are using Google Ads API to fetch data of your
campaigns, could you provide first to us the complete API logs (request and
response with request-id) generated on your end like what my colleague Anthony
requested and the whole Google Ads UI screenshot having the data you want to
retrieve? If that Hevo Data tool is a third party platform then you may ask
them for the requested information.

Note that this can be requested or provided to the developer handling the
Google Ads API transactions when logging of the API requests has been enabled.

These are the specific guidelines to enable it.

Java -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/java/logging
.Net -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/dotnet/logging
PHP - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/php/logging
Python -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/python/logging
Ruby -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/ruby/logging
Perl -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/perl/logging

You may then send the requested logs via the Reply privately to author option.
If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Re: Get Sitelinks

2022-09-12 Thread Zweitze
Let you give my experience.

*In Addition to this how I can identify I need to use migrated extensions
or non migrated extensions?*

This is not using one API or the other. Within the same account both
migrated and non-migrated extensions may exist. If you look careful in the
UI of an account with non-migrated extensions, you will notice that you can
migrate these extensions OR SOME OF THEM.
Some articles on this subject mentioned that all sitelinks would be
forcefully migrated last year October, then that date was postponed to
March. However, a few weeks ago I ran into an account which still had
unmigrated sitelinks.

If the deadline of your project is still some months away, you are probably
better off telling your boss or customers that your project will only work
with migrated extensions, and use the API for asset-based sitelinks. One
reason could be that you can no longer create unmigrated sitelinks, making
testing extremely hard. Another reason is that the API for feed-based
sitelinks is very hard.
If you can't get away with that, there's another nasty angle: Actually it's
not the sitelinks that are migrated, but the campaigns or ad groups
attached to sitelinks. Look again in the UI of unmigrated sitelinks: you
can only upgrade groups and campaigns. On top of that, the API
documentation does not state what happens to a feedbased sitelink once it
is migrated, for instance what status it will get.

The algorithm I use is:
First get all asset-based sitelinks, and get the campaigns and ad groups
attached to them. Get each and everyone, including the disabled and removed
links. Then go on for the feed-based sitelinks, and get the campaigns and
ad groups they are attached too, EXCEPT the campaigns and ad groups that
are or were used for asset-based sitelinks - because these are migrated.

I hope this makes sense and helps you to get started.

One above also has confusion that they have not migrated or planned for
some extensions, so If I need to check all extensions then also this will
work.

Thanks,

About other ad extensions: I handle price extensions the same way, but
beware: price extensions can also be attached to the account. You should
understand how to handle those, just don't forget.

If you have findings contradicting my explanation, please share your
findings!

I have gone through some of the post in this forum, and found there is
 multiple way to get sitelinks.

Some post says need to use
For the reports that will give you Sitelinks, you can use
 asset_field_type_view

 non migrated extensions.

 Some says
However, if you want to get a sitelink related report for the sitelinks

 filter the feed_placeholder_view.placeholder_type

  by
 '*SITELINK*'.

I can also see some suggestion are also based on campaign_asset

RE: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED for token that was previously working

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You may note that the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error might be connected to
your account access level. If your API access is still in test, the presented
issue is caused by making a call against a production account with a developer
token only approved for test access. You can apply for Basic Access by
following the steps outlined here .

Moving forward to this, “can I 'deploy' that Developer Token to other Ad
Manager Accounts that I have access to but aren't linked to each other?”
-No, this is because using other credentials without adding it first as a user
would most likely result in user permission denied errors.

And for this, “is there a way of swapping the Developer Token that's associated
with the Google Cloud Project?"
-I would suggest that you reach out to the Compliance team instead via this
contact form, as they are more equipped to provide guidance on this matter.

Also for this, "Is there a way of actually confirming what Developer Token is
associated with the Google Cloud Project?”
-There is no way to find if any Developer Token is associated with the Google
Cloud Project. However, if you make request to GCP project where it is paired
to other developer token, then it should receive developer_token_prohibited
error.

I want to add to the battle tested advice below that we have a Auto-migrated
accounts detection guide, as soon as you detect auto migrated feeds you will
know that they won't continue to serve. For manual migration of extension links
to ad groups and campaigns etc.. this won't work and we suggest you Remove the
Feed-based extension entirely in one shot.

It's recommended that you replace entirely an extension with all its links in
one shot using Associate the asset with campaigns and ad groups, the sample
code on the page shows all the campaign extension links being found, but if you
look further in that sample it also gets all ad group links too. You can easily
add for customer linked extensions. I can guess the reason for this advice is
to easily and clearly keep track which extension feed items aren't serving
anymore, while all others are still serving.

It is possible that one or more ad groups were manually migrated from a
specific extension feed item while others weren't, especially if experiments
were done and/or haphazard upgrades occured and that could make things harder
to track. You can modify the Associate the asset with campaigns and ad groups
to just show all active links to the extension feed items you are investigating.

Regards,

Aryeh

Google Ads - Invalid Mobile ID Format

2022-09-12 Thread Elif Adaköy
Hi,

I'm creating Targeted Custom Audiences using Google Ads Api and update
them. I know format which Google allows for IOS and Android. I post
accordingly and can successfully create and update audience normally.

But I got an Invalid Mobile Id Error for an audience and I couldn't find
what caused the error.

Here is the request id, can you check please?

RequestId: c9CEwVT_JT8r5sOF_JJdeA

Thanks in advance,

Elif

RE: Google Ads - Invalid Mobile ID Format

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Elif,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

To have a clearer view, could you please provide the complete API request and
response logs with request ID and request header that generated on your end
where we can see the said error? This information will help our team to further
check why this is happening. If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by
navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging
documentation, which you can access from this link.

For privacy purposes, you can provide it via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email
address googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

all_coversions_value in shopping_performance_view

2022-09-12 Thread Vk Kv
Hello, trying to select *all_conversions_value* in
*shopping_performance_view*, however, it throws an error, that field is not
selectable. Tried both in GAQL and directly through API.
GAQL traceback and screenshot from documentation on
*shopping_performance_view.
*Any help appreciated, thanks!

   - API Version: v11
   - Query: "SELECT segments.product_item_id, metrics.clicks,
   metrics.impressions, metrics.average_cpc, metrics.search_impression_share,
   metrics.all_coversions_value, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.all_conversions,
   metrics.cost_per_all_conversions,
   metrics.search_absolute_top_impression_share, metrics.all_conversions_value
   FROM shopping_performance_view"

   - Result: Invalid Query (errors below) 'metrics.all_coversions_value' is
not a valid field in the SELECT clause when 'shopping_performance_view' is
the resource in the FROM clause. Fields in the SELECT must be 'Selectable'.

RE: all_coversions_value in shopping_performance_view

2022-09-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

Upon checking your Query it seems that you misspelled this query
metrics.all_coversions_value and you added two coversions_value with this you
may try this query below:

SELECT

segments.product_item_id,

metrics.clicks,

metrics.impressions,

metrics.average_cpc,

metrics.search_impression_share,

metrics.all_conversions_value,

metrics.cost_micros,

metrics.cost_per_all_conversions,

metrics.search_absolute_top_impression_share

FROM shopping_performance_view

Also, you can make use of Query Builder to help you construct and validate
queries. Let us know if this helps.

Anthony Cyril

java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Timeout"

2022-09-12 Thread Robert Kowalski
Until yesterday I was able to successfully download from the ReportService,
but today report downloads fail with an "Unable to tunnel through proxy"
error. Other services e.g. InventoryService, CustomTargetingService,
PublisherQueryLanguageService continue to behave as expected and I am
assured that there has been no change to the proxy configuration. Any ideas?
