Hi Sherwin,

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Can you guide me to which
reporting I should use? Because I looked
at https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/reporting/overview and
did not see any particular reports to be used.

Best Regards,
Swetha.

RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED - Conversions API

2022-06-22 Thread Jamie O'Hanlon
Hi

We use make/integromat to handle our offline conversions and have been
having issues lately. I have a scenario setup for each ad account and when
a sales lead is marked as sold on our CRM, a webhook is sent to the
scenario and this information is sent to our google account via the
conversions API on make/integromat.

The issue is recently my scenario's have been failing with the error:

" Error

RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED (429) Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota). ◉
Too many requests. Retry in 5662 seconds."

I have a feeling this is because sometimes sales leads from different
websites will sell at the same time as each other, so the API is triggered
at the same time and it doesn't like too many requests within a time
period. That's fine. I started just turning the scenarios back on after a
little while and it would begin working again. However, now I'm stuck in a
loop where when I try and turn our scenarios back on I get the same
RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error along with "Retry in x seconds" and the time
changes every time. The thing is, I DO wait far longer than the message
suggests, but then when I go back to turn the scenario on I get the same
thing all over again so I'm stuck in a loop.

What's the best solution for this?

GoogleAds API legacy versions

2022-06-22 Thread Nacho Cueto
Hi there,

I've started working in a project where PHP 5.6 is in use. Updating the
code is not an option at this moment, and I can't find a version of the API
that works with 5.6.

*Is it possible to find those legacy versions somewhere? If so, will they
work? If anybody is still using an API version that was meant to work with
PHP 5.6, any help would be much appreciated.*

Thanks a million,
Nacho

Problem with generate_user_credentials.py

2022-06-22 Thread Miguel Angel Garcia
I'm following the instructions
on
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/python/oauth-web
to generate the refresh token

The instructions says to run "generate_user_credentials.py ..." in the
terminal, but all my terminals (VS Code, command prompt, Powershell) says
that generate_user_credentials.py is not a valid command (in Spanish it
says "*no se reconoce como nombre de un cmdlet, función, archivo de script
o programa ejecutable*").

I have already installed the Python Client library on my local machine
(with "pip install google-ads") and I see all the "/google/ads/" files
installed, but I don't see any of the "/examples/" files and I can't find
the "generate_user_credentials.py" anywhere in my machine.

Do I have to add the example files manually?
They should be added to a certain path or folder?
Do I have to do any extra steps or configurations to make the example files
work?

(I'm using Python, Django, VS Code and Windows 10. And I'm a super noobie,
I guess it's quite clear from my questions). 😅

Thanks!

Re: Deadline Exceeded when fetching ads since 4/6

2022-06-22 Thread Christian H.
Hi!

I have the same problem: downloading RSAs takes too long (for some
accounts). I run into the DEADLINE_EXCEEDED exception too (And I set the
timeout to 20 minutes which should be more than sufficient).

There is a workaround: if I request headlines and descriptions with
different requests the response is returned within seconds.

But I would rather remove the workaround and not split the request.

RE: Get Campaign performance

2022-06-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ajay,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

Regarding your concern, instead of using the Campaign Performance Report, you
can use this "campaign" for your report. For more information on the AdWords
API report to the Google Ads API resource mapping, click here. To illustrate
how to get campaign criteria using Python, you can visit this link.

Note: You can also use the query migration tool to translate AWQL queries into
GAQL. In addition, you can make use of Query Builder and Query Validator to
help them construct and validate queries. I hope this will help you.

Re: ad_group_ad results in empty data

2022-06-22 Thread Swetha Nagaraj
Hi Jinky,

I want to differentiate between retention and acquisition ads. We did this
in adwords API by filtering using Keyword ID. So I tried to do same thing
in new API. I want to know if we can filter data at Keyword level or is it
only at Ad level? If it is at Ad level, then how can I differentiate
between acquisition and retention data?

Regards,
Swetha.

With regard to your concern, could you confirm if you are using the latest .NET
library version >= 12.1.0 according to this document? If yes and the issue
still persists, you may reach out to the .NET client library owner by the
issue tracker via github, as they are more equipped here.

Best regards,

Re: Deadline Exceeded when fetching ads since 4/6

2022-06-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Christian,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You may note that timeouts are often because what is being queried is too big
to send back to you. It appears that those accounts where this is failing
contain a lot of data. To fix this deadline exceeded error you are
encountering, I would suggest you decrease the size of your data that you're
requesting back by adding filtration to your queries.

RE: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED - Conversions API

2022-06-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Jamie,

Thank you for reaching us out. I hope that you are doing well today.

The RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error usually occurs when you are sending too many
requests in a short period of time. The server throws this error once it
detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency limit. With that
being said, we would recommend setting up short delays between requests or
combining more operations in fewer requests. Please refer to the Best practices
guide to optimize the efficiency and performance.

If the error message still exists, please share the complete and recent request
and response logs with the request-id so that our team will further investigate
this issue. Please provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this
option is not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

If you have other concerns, please do not hesitate to reply on this thread.

Generate Link ID via Google Ads API

2022-06-22 Thread Rayane Achich

We're trying to set up a conversion event using available API. The steps
are the following:

   1.

Link account with 3rd party analytics service. Once you link your app
with the service, it generates a Link ID.
   2.

Create a Conversion Action - select the app that was previously
connected in 1), and set up the parameters that you want.

https://developers.google.com/app-conversion-tracking/api

Has somebody previously done that?

RE: Create audience customer list

2022-06-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

Unfortunately in Google Ads API , there is no direct way to use the csv file to
create a customer list. However, you will need to create a process on your code
that will get the information from the CSV file and supply that information as
parameters of the sample code in the customer match. Let me know if you have
further questions.

Re: Discrepancy between metrics.video_quartile_*_rate and google Ads UI

2022-06-22 Thread Zweitze
Well, my point was that your aggregation formula
SUM(video_quartile25_rate*impression)/SUM(impression)
is essentially correct, but beware of the field impression. Make sure you
ONLY include impressions for YOUTUBE_WATCH, and NEVER include impressions
of the other networks.

What you could try is use the Web UI, select the fields like you have in
your opening post. Then add segmentation for Network. Add a filter for one
campaign.
Try to see if you can figure out the summary results for the quartile -
shouldn't be hard because there's only one campaign.
Next, change the filter, add a second campaign. See if you can still
determine the summary results. Then a third. Try a campaign that contains
not only youtube network, but also other networks.

Remember: segmenting is the important thing to do here. Without segmenting
you probably cannot validate the aggregation formula.

According to above case, *segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion* field does

Trouble getting started with the API Center

2022-06-22 Thread Pietro Scurzio
Dear Support Team,

I've been trying to access the Google Ads API Center (in a manager account)
with no luck so far.
I visited the following
link https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/dev-token
and tried to follow the instructions step-by-step, but when I reached the
lines *"Sign up for Google Ads API access through your manager
account. Sign in ,
then navigate to TOOLS & SETTINGS > SETUP > API Center. The API
Center option appears only for Google Ads manager accounts.", *I discovered
that the API Center option was missing from the Tools & Settings menu.

I also tried to get in touch with my local Google Support team, but
unfortunately, they were not able to assist.

Is there any other way to access de API Center to apply for the token?

Thanks,

Undetermined Age Criterion Not Reported in age_range_view

2022-06-22 Thread Jay Henry
I segment by date in the age_range_view, I don't get the "Undetermined" age
row back. I've masked the ad_group_id in the following queries

The following query returns only the 503002 criterion id row:
SELECT segments.date,ad_group_criterion.criterion_id, campaign.id,
ad_group.id, metrics.all_conversions_value FROM age_range_view WHERE
segments.date BETWEEN '2022-01-05' AND '2022-01-05' AND
ad_group.id=

The following identical query without the segments.date field returns two
rows, including 503002 and 503999:

SELECT ad_group_criterion.criterion_id, campaign.id, ad_group.id,
metrics.all_conversions_value FROM age_range_view WHERE segments.date
BETWEEN '2022-01-05' AND '2022-01-05' AND ad_group.id=

Why would selecting the date segment filter out the 503999 criterion?

Thanks for your help!
Jay
