Re: How to set "Experiment split options" and "Enable Sync" using new ExperimentService

2022-05-25 Thread Aistis
If you meant on UI, than:
1. Go to Account experiments (https://ads.google.com/aw/experiments/all).
2. Create new Experiment (Custom experiment -> Campaign type (search)).
3. Select campaign -> Save and Continue
4. Click Schedule button.
5. Options i mentioned above.
5.1. Experiment split -> Advanced options -> Experiment split options
5.2. Enable Sync

Avoid getting io.grpc.StatusRuntimeException/INTERNAL: Internal error encountered

2022-05-25 Thread Philipp Hofschweiger
Hello,
we are getting these errors on a daily basis, so far did not find any
specific pattern. It happens for bigger report downloads, as well as for
small queries. Most of the time retrying helps as a work around, however we
would like to learn more about the root cause and if we can avoid these
errors completely? Are we causing these errors somehow, or is it really, as
the error documentation says, a server-side "bug"?

Example FAILURE REQUEST SUMMARY::

Method: google.ads.googleads.v10.services.GoogleAdsService/SearchStream
Endpoint: googleads.googleapis.com:443,
RequestID: ZdQ18dNAfsDERfeIQoqrYA,
ResponseCode: INTERNAL
Fault: Internal error encountered..

Thanks for the help!

remove multiple assets in one query

2022-05-25 Thread Evgeniy Lepikov
Hi there!
I'm looking for a way to delete multiple assets in one query. The corresponding
code

example using python library shows how to perform the operation to remove
one asset.

*resource_name = ad_group_ad_service.ad_group_ad_path( customer_id,
ad_group_id, ad_id )*

How should I change the code to remove not one *ad_id* but several -
*ad_ids* = [2435565, 24356543, 76534234] ?

Re: API Quota Reduction

2022-05-25 Thread Syed Stewart
Hello Peter,

Maybe the snippet below might help clarify what I meant.

= self::createKeywordPlan($googleAdsClient,
$customerId);$planCampaignResource = self::createKeywordPlanCampaign(
$googleAdsClient,$customerId,$countryCode, //$languageCode,
$keywordPlanResource);// ...$keywordPlanServiceClient =
$googleAdsClient->getKeywordPlanServiceClient();$generateHistoricalMetricsResponse

= $keywordPlanServiceClient->generateHistoricalMetrics(
$keywordPlanResource);// After 10.1//
==$keywordPlanIdeaServiceClient =
$googleAdsClient->getKeywordPlanIdeaServiceClient();$generateHistoricalMetricsResponse

= $keywordPlanIdeaServiceClient->generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics([
'customerId' => $googleAdsClient->getLoginCustomerId(),
'keywords' => $keywords]);*

Before 10.1, you needed to create a *KeywordPlan* to generate historical
metrics, and you could specify the location and language parameters when
creating a *KeywordPlanCampaign*.

The 10.1 release introduced *generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics*, allowing
historical metrics generation without the need for a *KeywordPlan*.

As far as I can tell, there is no way to specify language and location
parameters when calling *generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics*.

Ads API limits reached

2022-05-25 Thread Darren Chamberlain
Hi,

I have a program that's using the PHP SDK. We've recently started doing IP
blocks to campaigns. We have to do quite a few of these so we've hit the
15k request block today.

I was wondering if there is anyway to send multiple IP addresses in a
single operation? I tried a few ways like adding multiple to the
IPBlockInfo array and the campaignCriterion array but had no success. All
the would happen is we would end up just blocking the list IP on the list
for that campaing.

What I have been able to do is batch these requests into the
mutateCampaignCriteria which hasn't been efficient enough for us not to
reach our limit. So I'm only sending one mutateCampaignCriteria but I have
to send multiple CampaignCriterionOpertions which I;m guessing is the one
that counts towards the overall quota.

2022-05-25 Thread Hubert Jaworski
Hey there!

I query the Google Ads API for some reporting metrics.
The Campaign Resource DOES list metrics.conversions_value_per_cost as
available:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v10/campaign#metrics.conversions_value_per_cost

But I get the following error:

error_code {
query_error: PROHIBITED_METRIC_IN_SELECT_OR_WHERE_CLAUSE
  }
message: "Cannot select or filter on the following metrics:
\'conversions_value_per_cost\'(could not support requested resources:
\'CAMPAIGN\'), since metric is incompatible with the resource in the FROM
clause or other selected segmenting resources."

Here's the query:
SELECT
segments.device,
metrics.impressions,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.ctr,
metrics.average_cpc,
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.conversions,
metrics.conversions_value,
*metrics.conversions_value_per_cost, *
metrics.conversions_from_interactions_rate,
metrics.search_impression_share,
metrics.search_rank_lost_impression_share,
metrics.search_budget_lost_impression_share
FROM campaign
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2022-05-16' AND '2022-05-22'
AND campaign.advertising_channel_type = 'SEARCH'
AND campaign.name LIKE "%MyPattern%"

The Google Ads UI does have this metric, so I guess I'm missing something
here?

Re: API Quota Reduction

2022-05-25 Thread synibleworkers
This has issue has been brought up many times and the team here is not
understanding the issue. Why release 10.1 and allow us to generate metrics
without a keywword plan if we can't set the language and location? The 10.1
release was meant to solve an issue but they forgot certain functionality
making it unusable. The ads api team needs to understand that the
*generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics
*HAS to be able to add location and language for it to be useful otherwise
it's unusable. Telling us to go back and generate a keyword plan is exactly
the reason they released 10.1 and the *generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics *so
we wouldn't have to do that. Can someone on the ads team please make the
api developers aware that the 10.1 release is useless unless they allow us
to set language and location when calling
*generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics.*

This is a major issue, which needs to get fixed this week before the

search volume stats. Whoever has power here, please let the API developers

Special Characters match in REGEXP_MATCH

2022-05-25 Thread 'Rohit Lalwani' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello there,

I am trying to match campaign names with special characters like [,] etc.

My regular expression is campaign.name REGEXP_MATCH '(?i).*\[.*'
But when I try to get data using this regular expression, it gives me error
saying that it is invalid (BAD_VALUE).

I have checked that Google Ads uses RE2 syntax for regular expression and I
have verified that the above expression is valid.
I have also checked this regular expression in google sheets and it works
fine there.

Could you let me know how I can achieve the said result through regular
expression?

Thanks & Regards

RE: Regarding v10 version

2022-05-25 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Akhil,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

In the Google Ads API V10 version, GET methods have been removed from all
services. Any service that exclusively had a get method has been removed as
well. The primary way to retrieve objects continues to be using
GoogleAdsService's search and searchStream methods. For a comprehensive
overview of changes based from v9 to v10, you may refer to this page, and
inspecting objects with get (Deprecated) is deprecated since the usage of "get"
in this API was only intended for exploratory purposes and not actually
retrieving data as mentioned here.

Yes you are correct. You need to specify which field should be fetched, and
GAQL does not support (SELECT * ) syntax to gell fields. There is no way to get
all the fields for that resource using the same fields which you used to get
using the GET method by ID. To help you construct queries along with the where
clause filter, you can use our Query builder and Query validator in the
documentation.

In addition, as of now, there are no replacement endpoints for those removed
GET endpoints, and we do not have future plans to add it to next releases like
v11 and v12. Although this is a great tool for learning the API or inspecting
an individual object for debugging or education purposes, your app should not
use get methods to retrieve objects for processing or reporting. Instead, you
may need to use GoogleAdsService, since it supports retrieving performance
metrics, and allows for streaming through large result sets. If your app
submits a large number of get requests, you may encounter rate limits. For
sunset dates on older versions, you may refer to this guide.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Yasar
Google Ads API Team

2022-05-25 Thread 'megan' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hey there,

CIDs associated w/ a Google Grant account / campaigns do not seem to be
pulling through the API. Does the new Google Ads API support Google Grant
accounts / campaigns? Not finding relevant information in the
documentation.

Here is an example of a CID that is not found in our platform: Google Grant
Account CID: 761 - 455 - 9580

Thank you,
Megan

Getting Customer Aggregate Data

2022-05-25 Thread Prototype.co
Hi all,

We are quite a bit stuck on retrieving some account (customer) level
performance metrics, and I was wondering if you could help us out. In
particular, we are looking to get this particular set of data from the
online interface, using GAQL:
Now, the problem is:
The "customer" resource provides data on this aggregate level, but it does
NOT have a segment that we could use to segment the data on campaign type
(here: advertising_channel_type).
The "campaign" resource DOES have a segment called
advertising_channel_type, however, it returns data in an unaggregated form,
one row per campaign resource name. This makes reaggregation of the data a
pain, and, in the case of Search Impression Share, impossible (metrics like
top impression % can be aggregated using impression weighted average, but
search impression share, for some reason uses some unknown means of
aggregation).

Is there some way to retrieve the above table directly with GAQL? If not,
and we are forced to re-aggregate manually, is there a way to aggregate
search impression share precisely?

Thank you for your assistance.

Filter Accounts on Account Selection Screen to show only those accounts which are valid Google Ads Accounts

2022-05-25 Thread Muhammad Adil
Hello,

Is it possible to filter the accounts in the account selection screen, so
that the user can only see and select from accounts that are valid Google
Ads Accounts?

The context for this is we have an application where the users are able to
link their Google Ads accounts and then view various reports. But
sometimes, people select accounts that cause the *"The customer can't be
used because it isn't enabled" *error to appear. We understand that this
is happening because of faulty accounts, so we want to filter out such
accounts hence eliminating the possibility of users selecting them. Does
Google provide any method for us to achieve this goal??

Regards,
Adil

Re: How to get metrics for each day

2022-05-25 Thread Charles Camisasca
Hello,
Thanks for your answer! I can use more that 1 request. The main question is
how to do it with the fewer requests as possible. I tried to send requests
using segments, as you provided, but seems like the server returns me just
a summary value of all periods. But I need to get data for each day
separately. How can I do it? Maybe you can show an example of API query for
it?

RE: Updating campaign bidding_strategy_type to MANUAL_CPC

2022-05-25 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

As mentioned in this Python client library code, below syntax used to set the
bidding strategy to manual_cpc:

campaign.manual_cpc.enhanced_cpc_enabled = True

You may need to use this example to update campaigns using the Python library.

Let me know how this goes on your end.

Please Improve Display Reporting

2022-05-25 Thread Kurt
I've been using Google's Ads API(s) for over a decade now and I'm
disappointed to still see display reporting not properly integrated with
the ad/keyword level reporting. In fact it seems to have gone backwards.
Here is what I mean:

I can pull metrics (cost, clicks, impressions, etc) by ad group ID, ad ID,
and keyword ID together in a single report based off the "ad_group_ad"
resource, but this only includes non-display data. In the old API it
included display data too tied to placeholder keyword IDs, which wasn't
great, but was at least better than the new implementation since I could
get all my data in a single report.

With the new API I can get display data to show up in a report based off
the ad_group_ad *if I exclude all keyword-related dimensions*. Including
those dimensions/segments silently filters the data.

Likewise I can pull the display_keyword_view to get ad group ID / keyword
ID level reporting, but that does not include the ad ID so its not as
granular.

So there is no way I see to get display data by ad group ID, ad ID, and
keyword ID through the API, even though your system seems to have that
under the hood.

And what's worse, if I want to get a ~complete view of my metrics at a more
granular level, I need to pull the ad_group_ad report twice and combine the
data now (basically faking the keyword placeholder you used to provide).
Without this, one can easily pull misleading reports that don't throw any
warnings or errors but give you different results based on the segments you
include. For example I pull a campaign-level report for hourly summary data
which captures all campaign types. But the more granular reports omit
display and so their totals are wrong. So our reporting warehouse needs
extra/unnecessary processing to work around this quirk.

>From an API perspective, your query language looks like SQL and quacks like
SQL, but databases don't typically add surprising filtering under the hood
(like my ad_group_ad example above describes). It would be more consistent
with standard UX/DX/warehousing if the display campaigns were still
included in a ad group ID, ad ID, and keyword ID level ad_group_ad resource
report, either with the actual display keyword IDs populated or just
grouped to a NULL keyword value. The metrics should aggregate the same
totals regardless of grouping, and only change when one applies additional
*filtering*.

Thanks for hearing me out!

Google ads: incomplete result on click_view for smart shopping ads?

2022-05-25 Thread tobias...@incuda.com
Hi everybody,

we are extracting data for several customer so they can enhance data from
web tracking based on gclid. Since May 11 we notice that for smart shopping
ads only about half as many distinct gclid are extracted as are reported
for the same ad id in the google ads web interface.

The statement used in the Ads API can be as simple as this:

SELECT click_view.ad_group_ad,click_view.gclid
FROM click_view
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2022-05-22' AND '2022-05-22'

Anybody else encountering this problem? Any ideas concerning the root cause?

Is "Google Business Profile APIs" free & Can we use it to show the Reviews inside our sharepoint modern pages

2022-05-25 Thread fileonline service

We want to show our google account's reviews which have high rating, inside
our SharePoint Online site collection. And since neither any those
approaches will work:-

   1.

Embed the Reviews using IFrame. since google no more provide a way to
embed the reviews using iFrame. Also even if we get this option, we can not
filter the reviews and only show the ones which have high rating..
   2.

Use any available web part inside SharePoint online. As SharePoint
online does not provide any such Web part out of the box.

So i decided to follow this approach:-

   1. Create a custom SPFx
   2. The custom SPFx will call the Google Business Profile APIs @
   https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/review-data, mainly
   the "List all reviews".
   3. We will filter the reviews and show the latest 10 reviews which have
high rating (4 or above out of 5).

So i have these two questions:-

   1.

Is the Google Business Profile APIs @
   https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/review-data, free to
be used? or we need to pay for it?
   2.

Have anyone done this before? creating SPFx to get the Google Reviews?
   3. There is a message on the top of the page indicating :-

*Update your Google Business Profile API integration before critical
endpoints are disabled. Review the deprecation schedule and instructions to
avoid disruptions starting in April 2022.*

but it mentioned which modules will be disabled, and it stayed the
   following:-

   - GetLocation
   - CreateLocation
   - DeleteLocation
   - ListLocation

so does this include the
https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/review-data#list_all_reviews
? If the answer is yes, then which API i need to use to get the Reviews for
our google account?

Thanks

Re: Available funds

2022-05-25 Thread tv apitest
I also read the advice on this forum.

I get total cost for customer account using query 'SELECT
metrics.cost_micros FROM customer'.
I am trying to get the total budget for the customer using query^
'SELECT
account_budget.adjusted_spending_limit_micros,
account_budget.amount_served_micros,
account_budget.approved_spending_limit_micros,
account_budget.pending_proposal.spending_limit_micros,
account_budget.proposed_spending_limit_micros,
account_budget.total_adjustments_micros,
account_budget.billing_setup
FROM account_budget'
There are several fields that are similar to the total amount of the
budget. But when subtracting the total cost, the amount I get is not equal
to the available funds that is displayed in the web UI.
Can you specify which fields i need to use to calculate in order to get
available funds?

Re: Account Link

2022-05-25 Thread lezhne...@gmail.com
Hello! I found this conversation as I am working on shopping campaigns.
Is it possible to link an existing merchant account to google ads account
over API (as of now)?
