Price extension (asset based) not showing up in ads editor

2022-02-01 Thread Harald Hoppenstedt
Hi all,
I created an asset based price extension and added it to the customer.
Everything looks OK, I got a resource name in the form
'customers/.../customerAssets/...~PRICE'.

However, that extension is not showing up in the ads editor. There's no
library entry like "Price extensions (new version)" or similar, just the
old feed-based ones. Accordingly I'm not able to create asset based price
extensions via the ads editor.

Waiting for the automatic migration is not an option: We have to migrate &
test our automatic update procedure and need a visualisation point. This
worked seamlessly with sitelinks.

Ads editor version: 1.8.2

What am I doing wrong here?

RE: MutateAdParameter much slower with new API

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Christian,

Thank you for reporting this. Could you provide us with logs of request and
response to the API's so that we can see the time differential between the
API's that you are seeing when mutating an AdParameter?

In the Ads API, the request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings
in our REST documentation with additional information such as request ID. Our
client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these
instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our
client library guide and click on "Logging”.

In the AdWords API , a request looks like the 3rd section in request and a
response looks similar to response. Logging instructions are in the read.me on
Github of each client library.

The requested log can be generated when the log level is set to 'DEBUG'.

Fetching caller phone number from call extension using API

2022-02-01 Thread lifelive daily
Hi!

Is there any updates
on https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/3krv5ygd-Ic/m/UME4Q5r3BgAJ ??

We also need to get the caller's number on our ads.

We can get the caller's number from the UI and set up an auto-send report
to the mail, then parse the report. So the information is available to us,
but not by API, which is very sad.

Please, implement the feature.

Missing local campaigns when querying the ad_group_ad resource

2022-02-01 Thread maria.r...@funnel.io

Hi support team,

We have noticed that when we querying the *ad_group_ad* resource, *Local
Campaigns are missing*. This also happens when we use the ad_group resource
but when using the campaign resource the campaigns are included in the
response?

Here is an example query that uses the *ad_group_ad* resource which *excluded
Local Campaigns* in the response:

*"SELECT customer.descriptive_name, campaign.advertising_channel_type,
campaign.advertising_channel_sub_type, campaign.id, campaign.name,
ad_group_ad.ad.id, ad_group_ad.ad.local_ad.headlines,
ad_group_ad.ad.local_ad.descriptions,
ad_group_ad.ad.local_ad.call_to_actions, segments.date, metrics.clicks,
metrics.cost_micros, metrics.impressions, customer.currency_code FROM
ad_group_ad WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2021-12-01' AND '2022-01-27'"*

Here is an example query that uses the *campaign* resource which *include
Local Campaigns* in the response:

*"SELECT customer.descriptive_name, campaign.advertising_channel_type,
campaign.advertising_channel_sub_type, campaign.id, campaign.name,
segments.date, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.impressions,
customer.currency_code FROM campaign WHERE segments.date BETWEEN
'2021-12-01' AND '2022-01-27'"*

In your documentation

regarding Local Campaigns and reporting you have an example query which
uses the ad_group_ad resources to query local campaigns.

Is it a bug on your end that is causing us to miss out of Local Campaigns
or are we doing something wrong in the GAQL ?

Kind regards,

Maria Ravander,

Developer @ Funnel

Hello Hans,

Thanks for reaching out. The error indicates that you are trying to set more
than one enabled App ad in an App Campaign ad group. The error specifies that
only one enabled ad is allowed per ad group. Other general Ads limits are
listed here.

In sinle API call for campaign reports where some of the accounts Schema mismatch

2022-02-01 Thread Importer Neo
Hi,

I did a single API request to get campaign report for multiple accounts.
Please see below my query. I provided close to 25 accounts . Out of that 2
accounts schema order is coming in different way than expected order.
Please see below query and schema details.

*Query : *
select
segments.date,customer.descriptive_name,campaign.id,campaign.name,metrics.cost_micros,metrics.impressions,metrics.clicks,metrics.absolute_top_impression_percentage

FROM campaign

*Expected schema order for this query* : customer.resourceName,
customer.descriptiveName, campaign.resourceName ,campaign.name
,campaign.id, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost,Micros
metrics.absoluteTopImpressionPercentage, metrics.impressions, segments.date

*Mismatched Schema order for 2 accounts.* customer.resource Name,
customer.descriptiveName ,campaign.resourceName, campaign.name, campaign.id
metrics.clicks, metrics.cost,*Micros metrics.impressions, segments.date,
metrics.absoluteTopImpressionPercentage*

Please provide some help on that why these accounts schema order is
different than other accounts. Let me know any additional details needed
from my side.

Thank you,
Sri devi.

Google Ads API: How to get Label in Ad Performance Report ?

2022-02-01 Thread Importer Neo
Hi,
We are planing to migrate to Google Ads API from old Ad words API.

I requested New Google Ads API call by using Python to pull Ad
Performance Report with label Info. Please see below Google Ads Query.

select
segments.date,segments.week,customer.descriptive_name,customer.currency_code,ad_group.id,ad_group.name,ad_group.status,ad_group_ad.ad.type,campaign.id,campaign.name,
campaign.status,ad_group_ad.ad.final_urls,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part1,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part2,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part3,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.description,ad_group_ad.ad.url_custom_parameters,
*ad_group_ad_labels*.ad_group_ad,metrics.clicks,metrics.impressions,metrics.cost_micros,metrics.conversions,metrics.view_through_conversions

from ad_group_ad

Value in *ad_group_ad_labels* field is coming as ex:*
customers/X/ads/XXX* Instead of existing Adwords API call value
like ex: ["Shoes 2022"].

Please help me on that how to pull original Label field value by using
Google Ads API. Let me know need any additional info from my side.

Thank you,
Sri.

Re: Bug? existing_count wrong when adding Responsive Search Ads

2022-02-01 Thread GregT
Hi, Jakeia.

I work with Hans, but he's in a time zone where he won't see this still for
a while, so I thought I'd respond.

As Hans was indicating, this is not about App ads, but Responsive Search
Ads.

To give an example that is working correctly: if you take an empty ad group
and try to add 51 *Expanded Text Ads* (one over the limit), you will get a
response that indicates the resource limit was exceeded (same kind of error
as what Hans posted), with the error details of "existing_count: 0" and
"limit: 50", which are both correct for expanded text ads, since this is an
ad group that has no ads in it.

However, if you try to add 4 *Responsive Search Ads* (one over the limit)
to that empty ad group, you will get the response Hans shared, which
correctly indicates the resource limit exceeded error, and correctly
identifies "limit: 3" in the details, but *incorrectly* indicates
"existing_count: 3", when in reality, the existing count (since this is a
brand new, empty ad group) is 0 (like with the expanded text ads test case).

We rely on the existing_count being correct so that we know how many ads we
should remove from our request. With it being incorrect for Responsive
Search Ads, this is causing an issue. Note that this worked fine in the
AdWords API, but we're migrating to the Google Ads API, since we have to,
and it's the new Google Ads API that has this bug (v9 is what we're using).

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API support.

Our team responded on the other thread, please see below the answer on that

"I noticed that you are on a Windows machine, so all the \ should be

file instead of command line. See
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12667797/using-curl-to-upload-post-data-with-files

Just wondering, is there any reason why you aren't using the PHP client

Re: Using the REST API and customer match

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ryszard,

Thanks for posting your comment on this forum thread.

Customer Match and other user lists cannot be used in test accounts because in
a test account, any Customer user lists will be automatically set to Closed.
However, in uploading to a test account we can verify that metadata,
transaction details and UserData types can be sent successfully. Once this
looks OK, then you may go with the uploading to a production account using
production data your customer match supplies.

With regards to your concern of applying production developer token, I suggest
you reach out to the API Compliance Team via this form. This is because matters
related to the granting and approval process of these tokens are already
outside of the scope of our API support team.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Re: Unable to create a Media Bundle Asset through Ads API

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ionut,

Thank you for following up and providing more details to you concern.

So that I can raise the issue to the team and to know if the media that you
uploaded met the requirement for the specific media type, would you be able to
provide the media that you are trying to upload in the Google Ads API? Please
provide it via Reply privately to author option or to this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com if this option is not available.

Re: Google Ads API: Partial Errors for AdService

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Shipra,

Thank you for providing more details to your concern.

If the API response did not return any errors for the 3rd operation, then this
means that it is valid. However, so that we can verify it, could you try a
separate request for the update in the 3rd operation only? Please provide the
complete request and response logs, with the request-id, generated on your end
for this operation. Also, could you also explain why you are expecting the 3rd
operation to fail?

Furthermore, please note that AdService should be only used to make updates for
ads as discussed in this document.

RE: Working Google Ads Data Transfer after deprecating AdWords API

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ruslan,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

Kindly note that BigQuery Data Transfer Service for Google Ads is an
implementation of the AdWords API to the BigQuery platform, and implementation
of the Google Ads API / AdWords API to any platform is outside of our scope
already. That said, I am unable to comment on whether BigQuery Data Transfer
Service for Google Ads still works after deprecating the AdWords API.

Since, the AdWords API is deprecated and as of April 27, 2022, the AdWords API
will no longer be available. That being said, you will need to migrate to
Google Ads API. As for the clarification and guidance if there is any
alternative for the data service which currently uses the AdWords API, you will
need to get in touch with the BigQuery team by contacting them through the
support channels available here.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Yasar

Issues with AddCampaignLabels in Google Ads .Net

2022-02-01 Thread pchu
Hi, I'm trying to add a label to an existing campaign via this guide (Note:
I'm using Google Ads API *V8*):
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/reporting/labels#c

I have also tried the C# library Example --> CampaignManagement -->
AddCampaignLabels.cs

Both ways I encountered the same error: *Request contains an invalid
argument*

Can you point out what I did wrong here? Thanks in advance!

RE: Missing local campaigns when querying the ad_group_ad resource

2022-02-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Maria,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

You may double check if local campaign data indeed already exists between
'2021-12-01' and '2022-01-27' dates, and can be seen using Ads UI. If you can
see the Ad UI, and are unable to fetch via Google Ads API, you may provide us
with the complete request and response logs with the request-id, so our team
can better check.

If you’re using a client library, logging can be enabled by navigating to the
Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation,
which you can access from this link.

Kindly take note to send the requested information via the Reply privately to
author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details
directly to our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias by referring this forum
thread instead.

Yasar
