RE: API Token- Two MCCs

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi Arielle,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please note that only one approved developer
token can be granted per entity / organization. As your concern is related to
developer tokens for both MCCs, I would recommend that you continue your
discussions with the Compliance Team instead, either by replying directly to
their email, or by using this contact form.

This is because matters related to the review and approval process of these
tokens are already outside of the scope of our API support team.

Re: Authentication Issue - Migrating from Adwords API to Google Ads API

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi Daniel,

Thank you for commenting on this forum post. I am happy to know also that
you've fixed the error on your end.

In addition to what you've mentioned, please note that the format of
login-customer-id will be varied based on the client library (list of supported
client libraries here) that you are using. With this, I would suggest checking
the Configuration document (Client library (e.g. Python) > Configuration) first
of the client library that you are using to know the correct format.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

For the "Could not load file or assembly 'Google.Apis.Core, Version=1.36.1.0"
issue, this appears to be client library specific. You can reach out directly
to the client library owners via this link, for further assistance in
configuring their client library.

As for capturing the logs (JSON / XML), you can enable it by referring to this
guide. Let me know if this helps.

ad_group_ad_asset_view for responsive display ads (RDA) and responsive search ads (RSA)

2021-07-15 Thread 'Simon Kreienbaum' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi there,

do you have an estimate when it will be possible to report on RSAs and RDAs
broken down by individual asset or most popular combination of assets
similar to what you can do with *ad_group_ad_asset_view* for App Ads?

I am aware that I can fetch all assets (e.g. descriptions) that belong to
such a an ad but I would need to get performance & cost by asset (i.e.
performance of each individual description).

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v8/ad_group_ad_asset_view

Thanks,
Simon

No Match when using Google Ads API

2021-07-15 Thread Saxo Bank
Hi,

I am trying to upload Custom Match Audiences using the Google Ads API.

I see the new Audience in the Google Ads Audience Manager, but no matches.

I have tried both sending hashed data and non-hashed (leaving the engine to
the hashing).

What could go wrong?

My file looks like this[image: snapshot.JPG]
Note that the column names are mapped to the 'right' names.
Also, I have tried sending using 'wrong' names which throws an error.

Is there a limit to how many rows I can submit?
Do I have to input something in the empty cells in the file?

Hope you can help!

API Migration: mapping AdGroupId to ad_group_ad.ad_group

2021-07-15 Thread David Antunes
Hi,

In the API migration from the AdWords API to the Google Ads API, in the Ad
Performance
report:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/migration/mapping#ad_performance

it says that the *column AdGroupId should be migrated to
ad_group_ad.ad_group*

Shouldn't that be *ad_group.id* instead?? Since the first is a "resource
name" and the second a long like the one in the AdWords API?

Many thanks,
David

I don't think so. We used to upload conversions through V6.
Everything works fine. Now we upgraded to V8 and we met this problem. Could
I know what will trigger the problem you mentioned when upgrading to V8?

RE: UI and API not in sync?

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi Brian,

Thank you for reaching out to us. In looking over our documents, I found this
article that talks about this similar issue. From what I can see this actually
seems to be correct as the ad could be restricted at the moment pending
approval. At the same time this would appear to be a policy or ad creative
issue which we are unable to respond to. Which we would then suggest to contact
our Product Support Team about. As they have more information pertaining to
things such as that.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for reaching out to us. In looking over your case as well as previous
examples of similar issues. I found this Github post, while older. It would
look to be able to help with what we believe could be causing your issue also.
Especially pay attention to the last post as they suggest a redirect to the

RE: Uploading offline conversions

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us. In looking over your question. there is no
way for you to create mock data and upload it like you would with real data.
The only way to do this would be to add this to the site you plan on getting
data from and actually getting real data. At the present time test accounts do
not have the ability to create mock data.

Re: Fail to upload click conversion using V8 API

2021-07-15 Thread 'Yang Qi' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hey, everyone,
I figured out why conversion uploading failed. We have a MCC account (the
customer_id is 5804984872) and a lot of SUB accounts (for example
8845970027).

In V6, we uploaded click conversions using below code, the account_id is
8845970027

service = ads_client.get_service('ConversionUploadService')
> service.upload_click_conversions(account_id, operations,
> partial_failure=True)

After we migrated to V8, the conversion uploading code changed (See below).
Here, we have to set customer_id as MCC account which is 5804984872 instead
of sub account id like 8845970027.

service = ads_client.get_service('ConversionUploadService')
> request = ads_client.get_type("UploadClickConversionsRequest")
> request.customer_id = '5804984872'
> request.conversions = operations
> request.partial_failure = True
> service.upload_click_conversions(request=request)

I am still wondering if the change will have any impact besides conversion
uploading? Will the conversion be attributed to the right account or not?

RE: New Google Ads API: No metrics.absolute_top_impression_percentage on Account Performance report?

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hello David,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As per this Report mapping guide, the equivalent for the
ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT is the customer view. With regard to this field
(metrics.absolute_top_impression_percentage), when you try to filter this
dropdown (Is customer specified in the FROM clause of your query?) to Yes, it
is then that specific is removed. This is to confirm that the
metrics.absolute_top_impression_percentage is no longer supported in the API.

As an aside, our team can raise a feature request for that; however, could you
share with us your business use case as to how that field is beneficial to you?

Re: Fail to upload click conversion using V8 API

2021-07-15 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi Yang,

Thank you for the additional details. I work with Mark and allow me to assist
you as well.

Since you mentioned "we have to set customer_id as MCC account which is
5804984872 instead of sub account id like 8845970027", you will first need to
ensure that you have implemented cross-account conversion tracking before you
can upload your sub-account's conversions using your MCC accounts.

As discussed in this section :

"When uploading click conversions with cross-account conversion tracking
enabled, the conversion action must be in the manager account, rather than in
the account associated with the GCLID."

That said, if you haven't enabled cross-account conversion tracking, you will
need for now to specify the customer ID of the sub-account. If you require
assistance in setting up cross-account conversion tracking, I would recommend
that you reach out to the Google Ads Product Support team via this link, as
this is more in line with their expertise.

Once enabled, you may then perform conversion uploads using your manager
account.
