Set target campaign in Adwords

2019-02-07 Thread shweta . sontakke . tc
Hi,

I was using Adwords API version v201802. I was setting the target campaign
in Feed Item using the *feedItem.setCampaignTargeting. *But, since this
version has been deprecated and this method is not availaible in version
v201806
as well as v201809.

So, please do let me know how can I set the targeting campaign in these
versions asap as this is the production issue.

Regards,
Shweta Padwekar

RE: Set target campaign in Adwords

Hello Shweta,

You can use FeedItemTargetService

to

restrict individual feed items to only target specific campaigns, ad
groups, or criteria. You may use the FeedItemCampaignTarget

to

target the feed items to a campaigns. You may refer to the code sample in
Java

as

a reference on to target a campaign. Code samples in other languages can be
found here

Hello Anand,

To get the details of all of your Google Ads accounts (the accounts you
have access to), you could use the CustomerService.getCustomers

operation without specifying the Client customer id in the header. This
operation will return all the accounts that the email address have access
to. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if your
question was different.

Using Google Ads API with Go

2019-02-07 Thread jesugmz
Hello there!

I'm trying to test the new Google Ads API beta using the generated Google

but I cannot find the way to authenticate. Is there another way to use this
API with Go or any kind of examples?

As far as I've research the official Go client
 for Google APIs is not
supporting Google Ads yet.

RE: Why the MediaFile resource of image_ad is not selectable in GAds API?

2019-02-07 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

You could use the ad_group_ad.resource_name

 and ad_group_ad.ad.type

fields

to find the resource name and type of the Ads from your account. You could
use the below query to get the information required.

.setQuery("SELECT ad_group_ad.resource_name, ad_group_ad.ad.type FROM
ad_group_ad ORDER BY ad_group_ad.ad.type")

In-case you are looking to get the resource name of the images then you can
use the media_file.resource_name

 and media_file.type

fields

of the media_file resource. Below is the query for your reference.

.setQuery("SELECT media_file.resource_name, media_file.type FROM media_file
ORDER BY media_file.type")

If you are still not seeing any resource names for Image Ads/Images? could
you please share the query you are running and the account CID you are
pointing to? You could share the requested information via the reply
privately to the author option.

Location feed weird behavior

2019-02-07 Thread Han Vo
Hi there,
We have recently run into some weird issues from Google Ad related to
Location extension.
After removing all location extensions from Google using Google Ad UI for a
client, the customer feed from Business Data seems to be removed
automatically. However, the *campaign feed *mapping object didn't get
removed (The only I can see that is through pulling this object through the
API). As I understand this *Campaign Feed *mapping object is no longer
pointing to the above *deleted* Customer Feed object. Right now the issue
causes our system to be in a weird state. I would like to get some
clarification before implementing a fix.

Please confirm is this an intended behavior or that was a bug from Google.
Can you please clarify what happens behind the scene when deleting all
location extensions for a client using Google Ad UI?
Thanks

RE: customer hierarchy with CustomerManagerLink and CustomerClientLink.

2019-02-07 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

To get the account hierarchy via Google Ads API beta, you could use the
customer_client

resource.

Through which you can get only the resource name, level, Boolean value of
hidden status and Client_customer details of the accounts under your
manager account. To get these details the OAuth credentials used to make
the API call should be of manager account and the CleintCustomerId passing
in the header should be of manager account. Below is the sample query for
your reference.

Query in DotNet format below:
Query = @"SELECT
  customer_client.resource_name,
  customer_client.client_customer,
  customer_client.level, customer_client.hidden,
  customer_client.level
  FROM customer_client",
  CustomerId = customerId.ToString()

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Sai Teja, Google Ads API Team

RE: Using Google Ads API with Go

2019-02-07 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Jesus,

We do not have client libraries for Go language. If you are facing any
issues related to that library you could file an issue on their issue
tracker . Google Ads API beta
has the client libraries and examples available in the programming
languages specified here
. You could
choose the language of your choice among them and setup the client library
using the README file present in each client library. To generate OAuth
credentials, you could follow this guide
 and
to create refresh token refer this guide

.

Also, Irrespective to the client library, you could make API calls to the
Google Ads API beta via the CURL requests mentioned here
.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

RE: Location feed weird behavior

Hi Han,

It seems like your issue is more related to Google Ads UI rather than the
AdWords API. This said, I would suggest to post your issue on the Google
Ads Community Forum
 as
the product experts are better equipped to assist you here.

Thanks and regards,
