 Hi Josh!

 I don't think this is right way. To add Location you need to know its
 criteria id (for example 21137L - California). But to add Proximity you
 need to know the proper address or lattitude and longitude. And there is
 no
 way to map criteria id to some address or retrieve its GeoPoint to set to
 Proximity. In other words - I want to get the same object to set for
 LocationCriterion and Proximity.

 My thought is if it's possible in UI it should be possible in the code.

It's a bit misleading. Your saying that clicks doesn't correlate to videos,
but the VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT has the clicks field in it.
Are you sure about it?

Google AdWords API - There is no campaign!(PHP)

2015-11-16 Thread F inc
Hi everyone,

I wrote a program using the Google Adwords API want to retrieve the
campaign information for a specific customer client ID.

This is my code.

SetClientCustomerId('XXX-XXX-XXX');

  $campaignService =
  $user->GetService("CampaignService", ADWORDS_VERSION);

  $selector = new Selector();
  $selector->fields = array('Id', 'Name', 'Status');
  $selector->ordering[] = new OrderBy('Name', 'ASCENDING');
  $selector->paging = new Paging(0,
AdWordsConstants::RECOMMENDED_PAGE_SIZE);

  do {
$page = $campaignService->get($selector);

if (isset($page->entries)) {
  foreach ($page->entries as $campaign) {
echo $campaign->id . ': ' . $campaign->name . ' ' .
$campaign->status . "\n";
  }
} else {
  print "No campaigns were found.\n";
}

$selector->paging->startIndex +=
AdWordsConstants::RECOMMENDED_PAGE_SIZE;
  } while ($page->totalNumEntries > $selector->paging->startIndex);
}

try {
  $user = new AdWordsUser();
  $user->LogAll();
  GetCampaignsTest($user);
} catch (Exception $e) {
  printf("An error has occurred: %s\n", $e->getMessage());
}
?>

The resutls ...
  "No campaigns were found."

Why campaigns is were not found?
What is wrong with it?

Notice:
The "SetClientCustomerId" is not MCC account. It is using the customer
client ID(CID) that was allocated to the individual.
Of course, the campaign when viewed in Google Adwords management screen of
the customer client ID has been set.

Issue creating custom combination remarketing list using LogicalUserList

2015-11-16 Thread kaushik vinay T G

Hello,

  We are using Ruby client library for the AdWords API, currently having
issues creating custom combination of existing remarketing list using
LogicalUserList.
  Passing multiple Userlist as an array inside rule_operands seems to set
only one of Userlist in the result.
  My problem is similar to this question previous asked by someone v201502
version can't set retargeting audience.

  Please advise on how to pass the parameters in respect to code below.

  Thanks.

  Code:

  user_list_srv = adwords.service(:AdwordsUserListService, :v201509)
  operation = {
:operator => 'ADD',
:operand => {
  :xsi_type => 'LogicalUserList',
  :name => "Retargeting list",
  :description => "Custom combination list",
  :status => 'OPEN',
  :membership_life_span => '30',
  :rules => [
{
  :operator => 'ANY',
  :rule_operands => [
{
  :xsi_type=>"UserList",
  :id => 185402234
},
{
  :xsi_type=>"UserList",
  :id => 185402123
},
{
  :xsi_type=>"UserList",
  :id => 185402755
}
  ]
}
  ]
}
  }
 response = user_list_srv.mutate([operation])

 result:

Re: batch job service giving operand and error message both as null

2015-11-16 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

As specified in the BatchJobOps.xsd schema
,
the *operand* will appear under:

mutateResponse/rval/result/

See the section of the XSD with:

By the way, are you using the utility supplied in the client library as
shown in the examples
?

It should make uploading operations and processing results much easier.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Re: batch job service giving operand and error message both as null

2015-11-16 Thread Kainesh Patel
Hi Josh,

I am using Java client library v201509(which Google provided). As per java
client, to fetch operand call is mutateResult[index].getOperand() and to
getErrorList, call is mutateResult[index].getErrorList(). However, both are
null and operation was successful.

As per xsd schema file, to fetch operand the call should have been
mutateResult[index].getResult() which is not there in java file.

The mutateResult which I have referred earlier is obtained by
using mutateResponse.getMutateResults().

The same used to work earlier. Am I making mistake somewhere?

Thanks,
Kainesh

Invalid grant when using Token Refresh

2015-11-16 Thread jnewman0817
Hello,

About 3 weeks ago we started seeing this error when we refresh the access
token for many random accounts, { "error" : "invalid_grant" }. We never
had any problems refreshing access tokens up until now. Also, not all
accounts are having problems refreshing their tokens; many refresh just
fine. To temporarily fix the issue we have been reauthorizing each account,
but other accounts start to have the same problem. The only information I
could find on the forum is that the refresh token has manually been
revoked, which doesn't make sense to me. I've read through the
documentation at
"https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/authentication"; and
it looks like our TokenUrl, AuthUrl and Scope are up to date. Any help is
greatly appreciated, thanks.

Get Authorization Code:

https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?client_id=X&redirect_uri=XX&scope=
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords
&response_type=code&access_type=offline&approval_prompt=force";

Below is an example of the url and parameters we are using to retrieve
initial access and refresh token:

https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v3/token?code=X&client_id=X&client_secret=X&grant_type=authorization_code&redirect_uri=

Below is an example of the url and parameters we are using to refresh
access tokens:

https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v3/token?refresh_token=X&client_id=X&client_secret=X&grant_type=refresh_token

Re: batch job service giving operand and error message both as null

2015-11-16 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Kainesh,

The method call in the Java library to get the operand is
*mutateResult.getOperand()*. I just tried this out locally and it worked as
expected. Please give that a shot and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Re: Special Char in text ad

2015-11-16 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

This appears to be an issue with how suds handles Unicode in Python 2. That
said, it's pretty easy to work around this--all you have to do is send
Unicode content in a Unicode string rather than encoding it.

You could change your default encoding as seen in PEP 0263

 and
use those characters directly.

Thanks,

Umesh, AdWords API Team.

Re: Negative campaign criterrion ALLOWED_GAMBLING_CONTENT

2015-11-16 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

The *ALLOWED_GAMBLING_CONTENT* ContentLabel

 is
excluded by default. This is why it cannot be included as a negative
Criterion. Trying to exclude a criterion that is already excluded by
default will result in a *CANNOT_EXCLUDE_CRITERION *error, which is what
you're seeing.

Cheers,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Re: URL_PERFORMANCE_REPORT Behavior Changed

2015-11-16 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi Mark,

Thanks for such a detailed explanation. I don't know of any recent changes
in the URL_PERFORMANCE_REPORT. I could really use your help on figuring out
one more thing, since my account doesn't have enough data to give this a
try. Is this also happening in the AdWords user interface when you pull up
the same report? Can you send me a campaign ID where you're seeing this?

Thanks,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Re: GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT return different results than CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for Videos

2015-11-16 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

*Clicks* for video ads are still counted, but a *Click* does not
necessarily translate into a *VideoView* or *Interaction *for those ads --
it merely means a user clicked on the ad. For example, the user may have
not actually watched the video ad after clicking.

Regarding conversions, if I look at your video campaigns via the
VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, I see there are some campaigns with *Clicks > 0*
 and *VideoViews > 0*, but all show *Conversions = 0*.

I'm looking at a date range of *THIS_MONTH* -- do you expect to see video
conversions for that date range? If I look at the *Campaigns* tab in the
user interface and *Segment* by *Network (with search partners)* (which is
*AdNetworkType2*), the subtotal for *Video* shows *Conversions = 0* and
*Converted
clicks = 0*.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Is Target CPA Simulator data available through the API?

2015-11-16 Thread laurence

For individual keywords the CriterionBidLandscape is available through the
DataService:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201509/DataService.CriterionBidLandscape

Is something similar available for bid strategies (specifically Target CPA)?

In the interface it is available through the little graph link:

Re: Invalid grant when using Token Refresh

2015-11-16 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

Here is the couple of things that you could check that cause for that error.

   - *Problem: *Refresh tokens can become invalid for a few reasons:
  - There is a maximum of 25 refresh tokens that can be valid at a
  time. If someone gets a 26th refresh token, then the 1st refresh token
  becomes invalid.
  - Refresh tokens can also be manually revoked. If someone left the
  company, then they might have done so.
   - *Solution:*
  - Generate a new refresh token to be sure that it is valid.

   - *Problem:* Your server is not synced time-wise with the Google server.
   - *Solution: *Use NTP to make sure that the server is set to the correct
   time.

Regards,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

Re: BatchJobService gives unexplained INTERNAL_API_ERROR

2015-11-16 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

Thanks for the detailed output. It looks like you were trying to do a SET
without providing a batch job to update. That's why the error occurred. For
most cases, you'll do an ADD where you create the job to and let it run.
We're looking into passing back a more descriptive error in the future. In
the meantime, here's an example in Java

for creating a full campaign using a batch job. You'll see that we only
need to call ADD once in order to create the batch job. From there, we just
keep adding operations to that batch job.

Best,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Need C# GetAccountHierarchy without all the codeExample wrappings

2015-11-16 Thread axtens
Please could someone direct me to a barebones demo of GetAccountHierarchy
in C#. C# is not my soup du jour and I'm finding it hard to peel the core
concepts out of the codeExample wrapper.

TIA,
Bruce/bugmagnet
