Hi Lusine,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by *cookies into audience*. When you're
talking about an audience, are you referring to a remarketing list
 that is
created using the AdwordsUserListService
?

 AdWords is very careful about protecting user privacy, so any data we
collect is aggregated in order to protect user privacy

Re: [AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED @ ; trigger:'']

2015-09-15 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

Are you a Google App domain administrator? For all other cases please use
an offline or web flow instead, see this OAuth2.0 guide
 for
more details:

The USER_PERMISSION_DENIED error means you are trying to access the account
that doesn't match your OAuth token. The most common issue here is that you
might have generated OAuth2 token under your developer account. Please log
off of any google account and make sure to log in under your *AdWords* user
before generating the OAuth2 tokens.

Thanks,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

Re: What is the expected method for sharing sitelinks across campaigns using the Campaign Extension Setting service?

2015-09-15 Thread Alexander Cavalli
Hi Nadine,

Thanks for the info. I've looked at the examples and the documentation, and
while they are very clear for the simple case (each campaign has a separate
set of sitelinks), it isn't clear to me what to do if I want to share the
same sitelinks across multiple campaigns (similar to how the Shared Library
works in the Adwords UI).

It sounds like you are suggesting that I run the mutate "add" action to
each campaign for some set of SiteLinkFeedItems using the
CampaignExtensionSetting service. As you said, the mutate "add" operation
both creates the sitelinks and creates the mappings. Because of that, I'm
under the impression that running the mutate "add" operation on multiple
campaigns *with the same SiteLinkFeedItems* (and specifically, new ones,
i.e. without ids) would attempt to re-create the sitelinks, and I would
either end up with duplicate copies of the sitelinks, or Adwords would
reject the request because the sitelinks already exist. Is this the
behavior? Or does the API figure out that it has received sitelinks that
already exist, and uses the existing ones rather than trying to create more
(despite not being provided IDs)?

I can do this with the old-style FeedItems already - the steps would be
something like:

   1. Create the sitelinks using the FeedItem service and get the feed item
   ids from the response (1,2,3,4,5)
   2. Create a matching function for a campaign feed, something like
   "feed_item_id IN (1,2,3,4,5)".
   3. Create a CampaignFeed for each campaign id I want to map to using the
   matching function generated in step 2.

It sounds like, to do this with extension settings, you're suggesting
something like this:

   1. Build an ExtensionSetting containing all the sitelinks I want to
   create and map.
   2. Build CampaignExtensionSettings using the ExtensionSetting from step
   1 for each campaign id I want mapped.
   3. Build CampaignExtensionSettingOperations using the
   CampaignExtensionSettings from step 2 and the ADD operator. *(this is
   the step I'm wondering about, specifically the ADD operator)*
   4. Use the CampaignExtensionSettingService to push the array of
   operations from step 3 using the mutate call.

Intuitively to me this seems like it will fail, because the first operation
in the array (built in step 3) will create the sitelinks, and the second
and all future operations will try to create the sitelinks again and do
something bad (either fail or make duplicates). If the API will handle this
properly, please let me know. And thanks again for the help!
- Alex

2015-09-15 Thread Anthony Madrigal
Hi C,

After some investigating and since your UI and API stats match, I think
this question is better suited for the AdWords Community Support Team.

Here is a link to the AdWords Community forum
. You could post your question
there. Hopefully, they can help you find out why you are getting these
results.

Good luck!

Re: API very slow on one server

2015-09-15 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

This doesn't sound like it's an issue with the API's servers, since as you
mentioned even you have a server that is not having any delay.

I would check the network settings on server2 to see if anything has
changed recently.

Upgraded Urls

2015-09-15 Thread Dmitriy
Hi, AdWords API Team!

I'm working 8 years with AdWords API and first have such total
disappointment.
You said from 1 July all accounts will be forwarded to upgraded urls. But
it wasn't.
So I try to use adGroupAdService->upgradeUrl
to change destination url's like:
/?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google
(campaign already has tracking template with that utm params)
to final url:/

And get result:

AdError.URL_NOT_EQUIVALENT

Please, advice

Regards.

Can you try to provide more details? If you're more comfortable with

Longer Text Ads Implementation

2015-09-15 Thread Niki Marin
My client would like to enable the Longer Text Ads feature through the API.
Longer text ads are mentioned here
on
the Developers site, but the link takes you to AdWords Support and only
discusses implementation through the UI. Our client only uses the API, so
any guidance on how to implement would be incredibly helpful. Thank you in

Re: What is the expected method for sharing sitelinks across campaigns using the Campaign Extension Setting service?

2015-09-15 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi Alex,

Yes, you've got the process correct for extension settings. If you're
anything like me (who thinks a piece of code is worth a thousand words),
you'll probably appreciate this code example on migrating to extension
settings
.

Existing site links through the FeedItemService

can be migrated to extension settings while also cleaning up pre-existing
feed items. If you're coding in another language, the other client libraries
 also have
the same example.

Glad to help,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Hello,

I apologize that I can only answer in English. I understand your

You should be able to reapply for a token by clicking *Regenerate token *in

receive the developer token, you can use that in the properties file of
your test account to make API calls against it.

If that still does not work, please fill out this form

Re: How to catch Errors.

2015-09-15 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

You could use below Java example code to handle the
CustomerSyncError.INVALID_CAMPAIGN_ID error gracefully.
try{
 accountChanges = customerSyncService.get(customerSyncSelector);
}catch (ApiException e) {
   for (ApiError error : e.getErrors()) {
 if (error instanceof CustomerSyncError && ((CustomerSyncError)
error).getReason().equals(CustomerSyncErrorReason.INVALID_CAMPAIGN_ID)) {
  CustomerSyncError customerSyncError = (CustomerSyncError) error;
//System.out.println("Catching
CustomerSyncError.INVALID_CAMPAIGN_ID");

 }
   }
}

Cheers,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

Re: Upgraded Urls

2015-09-15 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi Dmitriy,

The auto-migration of the upgraded URLs started on July 1st. We're still in
the process of migrating on the back-end. Could you please send me the Ad
Group ID with the associated URL that you are trying to upgrade? I would
like to see if there was an attempt to migrate this already or if you're in
the queue to be migrated.

Thanks,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Re: How many attributes can we access through Adwords API for campaign?

2015-09-15 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hi Rohit,

Currently, AdWords API does not support the video campaign. The AdWords
product (UI) support TrueView Video Campaign and video Ads. Please check
out the AdWords document
 for more details.

Thanks,

Differences in metric's values between API report and Interface's report

2015-09-15 Thread HernanF
I'm pulling a daily ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT through the API but I get
different numbers than the interface report.
The API gave me less than 1% of differences than the interface. Sometimes
the API's number is greater than interface and sometimes is smaller.

Any ideas? Is that normal? Could be some TIME ZONE issue?

thanks in advance!

With the changes to AdWords for Video and the announcement that its being

are you (finally) going to be supporting reporting for these TrueView

Re: Differences in metric's values between API report and Interface's report

2015-09-15 Thread Anthony Madrigal
HI,

The AdWords reports can sometimes differ between the API report and the UI
report. This is due to Data Freshness
. Some metrics
are only calculated daily, which may cause some discrepancies.

As a workaround, I suggest downloading your reports sometime after 3 a.m.
(PST).

Regards,
Anthony

Re: can't create text_ad with url

2015-09-15 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hi Kimsrung,

Please use the final_urls

field instead of url. (The url property represent the destination URL which
is deprecated and replaced by final URLs (finalUrls).) Please check out our
add_text_ads

example code from Rubi client library for details.

Thanks,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

To clarify, will you be supporting reporting for Video through the AdWords
API now that the front-end interface for AdWords for Video/TrueView Video
is also integrated.
