directory container compacting

2017-12-06 Thread Remco Post
Hi All,

I have a new one. I have a server with a directory container storage pool,
currently spread over two directories. One dir (the one I want to keep on
using) is 2.5 TB in size, the total amount of data is 2.2 TB, so that should
fit, right? Well, no, because a lot of the containers are only partially filled
and if I move those, the entire container, including the empty space, is moved,
not only the data. Is there a way to force TSM to reclaim the empty space?

ans2060 error with sqlserver client 8.1.0

2017-12-06 Thread Lee, Gary
As a further note to my query yesterday, we have found that opening the
properties inside the gui, then closing them solves the problem.

Again tsm for sqlserver gets ans2060 error when password expires and must be
updated with passwordaccess generate in dsm.opt file.

Any ideas out there?

This message is not even in the tsm client for windows or sqlserver client
message manuals.

Re: windows server 2016

2017-12-06 Thread Andrew Raibeck
Hello ADSM-L,

The documentation for backup and recovery of Microsoft Windows Server 2016
and Microsoft Windows 10 has been recently updated to include additional
information needed to successfully recover systems using the version 7.1.8
(and later 7.1.x) client, and the version 8.1.2 (and later) client. In
particular, starting with those client versions, WMI is added to the WinPE
image.

The documentation for recovery of earlier Microsoft Windows versions has
been similarly updated. See:

Windows 2008, 2008 R2, 7, Vista (refer to the section that covers creating
the WinPE media):

the WinPE media):
