Re: TSM 7.1.6 binary truncated?

2017-03-29 Thread Mikhail Tolkonyuk
The issue with FTP downloads still exists, I tried to download TSM 8.1.1 with
different settings using Download Master:
1. Multi-stream download: BROKEN
2. Single-stream with pause and resume: BROKEN
3. Single-stream in single attempt (like browsers do): OK

Hi Andy,

I'm using the same platform (FileZilla 3.19.0 running on 64-bit Windows) and I
did not have any issues with downloading 7.1.6 :
ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/maintenance/server/v7r1/Linux/7.1.6.000/x86_64/7.1.6.000-TIV-TSMSRV-Linuxx86_64.bin

But I hav had the truncation problem some times in the past that made me
downloading using http.

Hi Erwann,

When I downloaded the file yesterday to help determine if there was a problem
with the file on the FTP site, I used FileZilla 3.19.0 running on 64-bit
Windows.

Best regards,

Andy

How to determine why a session is in IdleW

2017-03-29 Thread Zoltan Forray
I have a user who has started a big restore (>31M objects and 8TB of data)
and all it keeps doing is sit in an IdleW state.

He has tried restarting it numerous times, including rebooting this newly
rebuilt Windows 2012R2 server. He has the latest 8.1 client. He is not
receiving any error messages on the client side and I don't see anything
from the server side.

It has now been waiting for >10,500 seconds (almost 3-hours). I have
watched it from the server side and the Bytes Sent/Received have not
changed. During one of his previous attempts, the server was running
replication but I killed it - did not make a difference.

It should be considered an NQR since all he did was select the "D:" drive
and told it to start the restore.

So how can I figure out what is going on?
