Hi All,
Trying to install Ubuntu 8.04 from scratch and not from within windows.
But when I load the bootable it boots machine in dos mode and cannot be
installed.
Any pointers as to what pre-settings I need to chk or what ?

Maybe the SMTP server that the OP used appended that message? Some corporate
servers do that.

I quite agree with RMS. When we work locally at least data is with us. Cloud
computing followed by SaaS is a dangerous stuff. There can be a lot
